Matthew answered my calls within 1 business day and was at my home to give me an estimate on the following day. He told me how much fabric to buy and suggested local discount stores to consider. When I got back to him about 3 weeks later, he was again prompt, had the chairs and fabric picked up and returned in a couple of weeks. All interactions were courteous and pleasant.

I called early morning, the chairs were picked up that afternoon, and I received the finished chairs within a very reasonable time frame. The entire process was explained to me and my complete satisfaction was important to Matt Bloom. It's so nice to know you can still get highly professional work at a reasonable price from someone who takes pride in their work.

I think they were very easy to work with. They will help you find the exact design to fit your personal needs. Everything that they did for us on this occasion looks great. I have never had any problem with them at all since I have used them.

Not good. Mr. B was nice on the phone, but was not responsive about followup. I gave additional chances as his reviews on Angie's list are good. He came to my home for estimate, but again did not follow up as he said he would. I was surprised and disappointed.

They have done a good job. They are extremely responsive and are able to answer all of my questions. They get the job done quickly and the blinds look great. We are very pleased with them and the price was reasonable as well.

I thought that they were very good. Their installation was very smooth. All the measurements they had done were right on. They were very easy to deal and work with. They were very friendly and showed up on time for the appointment.

I ordered window coverings for the entire house the beginning of May. It is now mid-September and the job is not completed. It took 3 visits to get the measurements correct, then the window coverings for the bedroom were the wrong product. I called to report the error and Matt seemed to know about it already. I don't know why they went ahead and installed the wrong shades and said nothing. Our shutter order was missing a shutter; it has been weeks since the order went in, still no shutter. We ordered a valance for the office and guest bedroom shades. I keep asking about them but still no valances. The delivery of the replacement shades was delayed by an auto accident. Called and told them I preferred to wait until all the various coverings were ready to schedule their visit. Matt is often out of town on some big job for the company and difficult to reach. I called again last week to ask when our job would be completed, left a message and still no word.

A pleasure to work with. Fast response to my call, detailed explanation of what needed to be done and why. Step-by-step instructions about how to select replacement fabric, unbelievably fast turnaround, and beautiful workmanship. This experience alone justified my Angie's List membership.

Excellent experience, would definitely use their services again. Richard provided a quote via email that was much cheaper than the quote I was given at the furniture store. The work was done quickly and they did a great job.

Their quality of work is excellent and they cleaned up well after themselves. I'd recommend them to others for window treatment purposes.

Very professional throughout the entire process. He came to our home, listened to our requests, and proposed a variety of options. He also kept me up to date on when the shades would be in (which was only a matter of days) and installed them around my schedule. One of the shades needed an adjustment after installation, and he made another trip to my home again at my schedule and quickly fixed it. I found Matt extremely helpful and definitely will contact them again for future work.

While Bloom and Company were fairly comparable on price to others (I checked with 3 other upholsterers), their estimate for the amount of fabric needed was way less than any one else said. Most said I should get approximately 18-22 yards. Bloom said 12-14. I bought 16. This saved me a lot of money. I know that I caught them at an awkward time, when they were moving, and over the holidays, so the whole process took a lot longer than I expected--one month longer than promised before they picked up the couch and then over 3 months before it was finished (they originally told me when they estimated the job that it would take 2-3 weeks). However, they did a beautiful job. I had pointed out how a previous reupholster had cramped the shape of the couch, making it boxier than it was designed to be and they restored its original lines, did a great job overall and even returned a yard or so of extra fabric.

They were professional, kind and did a fabulous job. The price was extremely reasonable and the quality of the work impeccable. Richard even had them touch up the varnish and strengthen the support for the fabric. The chair was ready on time and I will return to have my dining chairs done as well.

Richard responded to my email request very quickly and arranged for an employee to install shades in four windows in my home. Shades were ones that I had previously purchased. The worker was on time and very professional. The entire job took less than an hour and was well worth the money spent.

Matthew came and quoted for all the work involved. We supplied the fabric and Bloom and Bloom took the furniture in two stages. The time it took to get the items back was rather long due to the fact the the Company was in the throws of moving premises. However, we are thoroughly delighted with the furniture and cushions. Matthew and Richard's work shows great attention to detail and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a first class upholsterer with first class service.

I made an appointment for Matthew Bloom to give me an estimate. He came right on time. But the damage done to the rocker I wanted reupholstered was too great. He came right out and said that. I appreciate his candor.

Mr. Bloom came to my house and assessed the windows. I had some tricky mounting requirements, and he said it would be no problem to accommodate them. We chose a color that would be a good match for the wood trim on premises. When the blinds arrived, he called and asked if he could come install them. He brought one other workman with him. It took about 40 minutes. My inspection of the work showed a few minor alignment issues that needed to be addressed. He took care of them.

Professional job from quote to installation. The price was reasonable. The manufacturer forgot to include wands for two of the shades. Bloom had the manufacturer ship the wands directly to me a few days later. Bloom even followed up with a call to make sure the wands had arrived. I like the fact that they followed up.

Bloom & Co. called back the next day after I left a message. They gave very complete instructions and an estimate on how much fabric we would need, and recommended a fabric source. They were prompt in coming to pick up on the day they promised and delivered on the day they promised. I believe Richard Bloom himself delivered the seats and screwed them back on. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the entire business - I had a bonus explanation of ins and outs of the furniture trade. The job was a simple one, done well. Tip: I discovered that I should have specified that I wanted thicker foam - the only disappointment was that even with the new foam the chairs were not more comfortable than with the old. Upholsterers use the same thickness they find.

We were very happy with the work that Bloom & Co. did for us. I called after finding them in Angie's list and asked for an estimate over the phone. They were more than helpful and were able to give a very accurate estimate. The men that came to pick up the furniture were kind and very careful with the pieces as they made it through our narrow hallway. We are very pleased with the results. The workmanship is superb! Excellent- work was done on time as promised (in a rush). They picked the chairs up at the house, did the work, and brought them back. They picked up the fabric at the fabric shop.

Quick, courteous, and careful service. I would use them again and have already recommended them to someone else.

Both Mr. Bloom and the installer were punctual, competent, and very nice. We'd gladly hire the company again.

I waited for over an hour and they never showed up. I had scheduled the appointment a week before and given them all my information, including address, phone number and what I was interested in for window treatments. I think leaving a customer high and dry like this is inexcusable, but unfortunately all too common with these type of companies.

I was very pleased. They picked up and dropped off the furniture. Advised me on the type and amount of fabric to buy and some discount shops I could find it in, and, when it turned out that the pattern I picked required more than the estimated yardage, they went to the shop and bought the additional fabric. The results are impeccable, and I'm very happy with it. (Note that reupholstering is not cheap, they told me on the phone that it could be less expensive to buy new chairs, but I told them they were good chairs and sentimental, so they said in that case, it's often worth the price. They were right!)
