Description of Work: Gary changed all the pulley disks since one of them was broken. Also, the two large springs were changed since they were stretched out, and needed replacement. All the work was done well and very quickly.

Description of Work: I had a spring on the garage door snap and I could not open door, I called on a Friday they came out the following Monday and got the job done.

Description of Work: After reading the reviews on Angie's List I decided to call S & S Overhead Door Co. to repair the broken spring on my garage door. I called on a Friday and Gary called later in the day and scheduled a time to come to the house on the following Monday. He immediately untwisted the cable and put on a new spring. He oiled both garage doors so they wouldn't squeak. I did not bother getting other estimates since it was a small job, so I can't compare his price to others. The process was quick and painless, and the garage door works great.

Description of Work: I called S&S when one of our garage door sensors stopped working. It was not an urgent situation but S&S responded promptly. They found a wire had detached and fixed it for the price of the service call. They could have jumped to replacing the sensor at greater cost, but were honest and forthright. Very appreciated. I will call on S&S again.

This company renewed my faith in Angie's list. The specific work done included replacement of two garage door motors, springs, and safety cables. Mr. Scalese and his son are efficient and highly skilled. The quality of the work is excellent! These two are a class act. I wholeheartedly recommend S & S Overhead Door Company.

Description of Work: Gary replaced my garage door and all the associated hardware (tracks, springs, etc.). Since we have a 2-car garage, it was important that the new door match the old one precisely. Gary did that, and we're delighted with the new door appearance and operation. The price did not include painting of the door, but it was delivered with a coat of primer in place.

Description of Work: They came out and made a recommendation on what garage door to get and I ordered the door from them. It took 3 weeks to get it. He put it in and it works fine. He was willing to change the door if I didn't like the one he installed but I stuck with the one I have and again it works good.

Description of Work: Called and left a message for service on my garage doors - never got a call back. Biggest sin in my mind for someone listed on Angies List as someone who is "good" is not to return a call from a new client.

I got a callback within a couple of hours of leaving a message with S&S, and he was here the next day. He did exactly what needed to be done, promptly and professionally, and charged me a reasonable price.
