quick service, when he didn't have my desired product (standard option) in stock he offered me a higher end model at the price I would have paid for the standard option. When a month later the battery inexplicably malfunctioned, he was quick to come and replace it free of charge.

Clearly know the business and have lots of experience. Very responsive, explained the options, interacted with the contractor renovating the garage to work out scheduling details, did a nice job. We love our electric garage doors!

They were extremely good. They were pretty perfect. They were on time. The bid and the cost were identical. They did a good job. I don?t think they had to do any electrical work; they just plugged it into the existing electrical point. The price was in line with the other prices I had heard. It was all under $1000. They came in at $800. The quality of work seemed to be excellent. They were very professional. I will hire them again in the future.

The owner (forget his name) was very professional- completed the work when he said he would and for a very fair price. I was worried it would be subpar work because his labor component was so reasonable, but he did great work. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that I wish he had done more for us- we wanted the door weatherproofed, but he referred us to a handyman. This is the kind of guy I wish did more than just garage doors because he was so great to deal with.

We had an old garage door opener and (we thought) the track was off alignment and perhaps the door would need replacing. S&S examined our garage door and said that the only thing in need of replacing was the door opener. It works great, the service was prompt, and we did not get taken for a ride despite the fact that he could have easily charged us for an entirely new door and opener.

Work was done on time and on budget. Gary is great to deal with and very responsive. A few weeks after installation the door stopped working. Turns out the plug had come loose (oops!), but Gary was very responsive and would have come out to check on it if it had required service.

They came on time for the appointment, estimated the cost, and done the job in 20 min.

Nice guy, appreciate him coming and checking for me. Would certainly call again if any other garage problems.

I contacted S&S Overhead Door after the installer of the original mechanism was unable to replace the failed unit (after 25 years) in a timely manner. I was very fortunate in that Gary Scalese was able to acquire a replacement door lifter quickly and install this within one business day of first contact. The repair was quick and trouble free from my viewpoint. I would hire again and recommend to others.

He was very pleasant to deal with. Most importantly, he fixed the broken garage door!!

Our garage door cable was broken and had to be fixed; the gentleman was prompt in answering our call and showed up on time and did the work to our satisfaction

We bought a garage door opener from a big box store, but our usual handyman couldn't install it because our garage door had low overhead problems. Big box store was no help with this; they recommended I call a specialist. After consulting the List, I called S&S. Gary returned my call within the hour and came by the next morning to do an estimate. We needed to uninstall a light, and didn't get to it until 2 weeks later, but when I called Gary back he remembered the job and was ready to do it. He came at the appointed time, worked quickly and professionally, and charged me exactly what he said he would. I was extremely pleased and would certainly use him again.

He called and said that he could come ahead of schedule. Technician came and repaired 2 garage doors. Both have been working fine since he left.

Gary did a great job replacing my garage door and pulley system. He initially had some trouble getting the door from one of his distributors but kept on top of them and updated me regularly. When they couldn't accommodate the order for some reason, he immediately went with another distributor and was very apologetic for the delay. I felt like he was committed to this job. He arrived promptly on the day he was going to install the door and his work is very professional. The new door looks great and the mechanism is much smoother! I would definitely call Gary again in the future and would recommend him to others. Based on other estimates, his price was very reasonable.

I contacted Gary via e-mail and he left several voicemail messages for me the next day. He finally contacted me in the evening, discussed what was wrong and said he would come the following day to look at the door and make any necessary repairs. When I arrived home from work, the door was fixed and the bill was in my mailbox. The door opens and closes very smoothly. Fine job and thanks!

A cable broke on my garage door one day before leaving for work rendering it inoperable. I called Gary at S&S and left a message. Gary got back to me the same day and arranged to come over the following day to fix it. Gary was very friendly on the phone and patient with me as I called back multiple times to ask questions and request that he add safety cables to both of my doors. When he came over, I was packing my car to leave on vacation and blocking access to the garage. Gary graciously waited while I finished up and couldn't be more accommodating. When I got back from vacation the work was complete, the doors were lubricated and working better than new!

Gary was very responsive and punctual, and even made the trip back to install the belt on the same day. It was a small job, but I liked his honesty and straightforward manner. I would definitely use him again.

Gary was very knowledgeable and very nice. I felt badly going with another company that came later that day but the estimate was very close and both companies identified the same issues. The second company was able to do the work (there were two people) immediately so I went with them only due to the convenience and the fact that they too were professional and knowledgeable. The only thing I would say to Gary is his shirt seemed like he hadn't changed it in a while (there were bits of food on it and it was 9:30 AM) so he might want to be careful of that in terms of his professional appearance. I would hire him in the future though, no question.

Wonderful! We were able to make an appointment within a few days of my calling him, he showed up right on time, explained to me what needed to be done, and what I could do to keep my door in tip top shape. Very professional, knowledgeable, and nice. My door was only wiggly when going up and down, due in part to the humidity I think cause of course it was working a bit better when the humidity went away, but I feel much better having it inspected, and now that it is oiled and the missing parts are replaced, it works perfectly!!! I highly recommend him!

I left a message on Sunday, got a call back first thing Monday morning, problem was fixed by 9:30.

Gary returned my call and came to look at the broken , worn out garage door within hours. It was clear that Gary had a lot of experience and was very knowledgeable. On my request, he sent an email with a detailed estimate for the door we wanted the same night. He was able to locate the desired door (even found the standard plus door for the price of the standard door) and installed it within the same week. He phoned the night before to confirm the installation time and came just when he said he would. He did a great job installing the new door, removing and taking away the old door, and left the work area very clean. He even replaced the burned out lights in the garage while he was there.

Gary responded to my e-mail request the next day and showed up for the appointment on time. He came and fixed our garage door and left us the invoice. We are very happy with the quality of his work and the professionalism he displayed.
