Power Home Remodeling

I chose seven A rated companies from Angie's List to get estimates from. Power Home Remodeling was 41% ($15 thousand) higher than the next closest quote and two and a half times more expensive than the lowest quote. The kid who gave the quote was nice, professional and gave a good (but way too lengthy) presentation. There was nothing to warrant such a high price differential. The reason I'm rating this company even though I didn't receive their services, which I'm sure are great, is that they had a hard sell with ridiculously large discounts for signing the contract then and there. I feel that this company's sales tactics are predatory and won't be reflected in there Angie's List rating because people who didn't fall prey to them won't be posting reviews of their services. After a two and a half hour presentation, they didn't provide a detailed written quote; rather the net price was written on a business card. I've worked in construction, studied as an architectural engineer, have a brother in law who is a contractor and have received a large number of estimates for this same roof; which I believe qualifies me to identify an inappropriate estimate. I believe Power would provide good products and services; but they will also grossly overcharge you for it.

The installation process was smooth and easy. The finished product has really improved our comfort and the overall look and feel of our home, which is the most satisfying part. The initial sales presentation was very long, though the representative was aware of our family's needs, given the late time of day and two small kids running around. The original point of contact for this project was via BJ's, as a rep caught me while I was exiting the store and signed me up for a free estimate. The price for these windows is a bit higher than other quotes we had received, but given the lifetime warranty and one-time transfer to a new owner, plus additional features specific to the windows themselves, we thought it was worth the larger investment.

The project team were on time everyday It was suppose to take 4-7 days and it only took 5 days and one of those days it rained so they were unable to work. As soon as the rain stopped they went right back to work and was finished on friday and started on Monday. Great team and very professional, everything was cleaned up after the project was done. Project coordinator was always available if you needed him.I would defiantly hire Power home remodeling again.

Everything was amazing. They were punctual, courteous, and the clean up was impeccable. I knikw I could have gotten these projects done for less, but not this quality. Money WELL spent.

We had a negative experience just trying to get an estimate. We called to get a quote for replacing a patio door and they sent a representative came to our house that evening, which we appreciated. He was an hour late so arrived during the kids' bedtime, but he was friendly and acknowledgeable. He provided us with a sales presentation on his iPad about the company, its footprint across the United States, why it is the top place to work for millennials (we are not millennials...), its arrangement with Sam's Club, etc. That didn't make a difference to me but I was disappointed to hear Power only offers one type of sliding door: an all-vinyl door with plastic handle. They could not do a wood-inside-vinyl-outside like other contractors or offer a range of handle finishes. I was honest that I doubt we'd go with Power but I would appreciate receiving an estimate for comparison. But he couldn't get his iPad to generate the estimate and went outside to "call IT." I offered that he could just email or mail the estimate late but he said all estimates must be delivered in person, no exceptions. He seemed genuinely apologetic and explained it was company policy. Someone else called back the next da but didn't seem to know any specifics of our situation; they just wanted to see what would make the sale. They wanted to send another sales representative to the house and again refused to send an estimate by email or mail. I explained that we already met with their rep for over an hour and another meeting would be a waste of everyone's time unless they sent an estimate ahead of time, but they wouldn't budge. We walked away at that point. I later heard that Power has a reputation for offering a discount if you sign up that day, so you don't have a chance to think about the estimate or compare with other contractors. I do wonder if the representative faked "iPad problems" because he knew there was no way I would sign up that day and the estimate would be higher than norm. Reputable contractors shouldn't have to resort to those tactics.

This company is outstanding! The sales folks are extremely knowledgeable and can answer all of your questions. The installation team is a pleasure to work with. They clean everything up and remove all trash. I am looking forward to more window replacements. While the price may seem high, you simply can't buy a better window.

They project was done in 2 days, and was quite a large project. It looks great. I will say, the service was outstanding and we have signed on for a second project (replacing our basement windows) with the company. The representatives that came to the house were very kind and very friendly. They took their time with us, were not pushy and were very thorough. I'm very pleased with this company. Note: We have a Victorian home with a Turret (round column). Although they were able to shingle this portion of the roof and add soffit and fascia, they do not have the ability to install a gutter on this round portion. It doesn't look the best, but this was my mistake for not looking into that area of the house sooner. And asking the appropriate questions about it. They did very well with what they could. I am now looking into other companies that still manufacture radial gutters. Hopefully they can install them alongside the new materials.

The workmanship was excellent. the crews were there when promised. The company is very quick to assist in any way after the work has been completed.

We sat with Power's rep and discussed replacing the roof, the options, and pricing. It was a very good experience! The rep was very nice and very knowledgeable about the company and fully backed the quality of the labor and materials. We received a date to get the roof replaced very quickly and during the time they were there they did great and thorough work. All materials were cleaned up and they kept us informed during the whole process. I couldn't have asked for a better job!

***DO NOT TRUST*** The installation took 3-4 hours, however prior to the installation, they had a measuring team come to ensure that the windows ordered would fit properly. They also ensured me that my window A/C units that I have will fit into the windows with no issues. The windows are not of the highest quality and are comparable to the ones sold at my local Lowes for $200 each window. The Installation of the windows were in February of 2016 and when it came time to install the window A/C units in June, the A/C would not fit. Power HRG had admitted fault, and offered to find a comparable Window A/C that would fit. After 3 weeks, they were not able to find a window A/C unit that could fit these windows and instead offered to refund me the full cost of only ONE window! I've explained to them that all of the window openings (which are all under 12") have the same issue, and I will never have the ability to install window A/C units, they were unwilling to budge or correct the issue. I've since asked for copies of the full contract as well as the measuring paperwork that I signed, with no response. save yourself the headache and do not use this company at all

Fantastic work service and follow up. Couldn't ask for a more professional group to work with. You get what you pay for and this was worth it! Rick Varner, Karin and Skylar were fantastic to work with.

Project went as expected, crew was on time, got to work right away, cleaned up after, laid out tarps to catch rubble, and vacuumed up the fines once completed. Quality control person was also onsite to ensure everything was going as planned and the installation was progressing in a timely, professional, and qualitative way.

Everything went very well. All 17 windows were done in 1 day. Workers were very friendly and professional. They cleaned up all the old window debris.

Everything has been great. I keep going back because the team is professional, pleasant to work with, and responsive. The work is great, the price - for what you get - is on par with other options for higher quality work and better warranties. I have enjoyed working with the PHRG teams to upgrade my home.

They left shingles, nails and scraps all over my lawn and in the bushes around my house.The roof was way over priced and when the guy came out to check on the workers job he came at 7pm when it was dark. He also kept mentioning that it was late and he wanted to go home. Lastly, he saw that I had a young son and tried marketing his wife's photography business to me telling me that that was how he got her a lot of business.

Excellent. They showed up on time, performed the work professionally, and I've been very satisfied with the windows and the work.

Couldn't have gone better! They called the day prior to tell me when they'd be there and who would be my project manager for the day. Workers arrived on time and began work immediately. They were very professional and courteous; even moved my outdoor planters to keep from damaging my plants! They replaced my roof in one day and did a beautiful job. Throughout the day the service team called to check on my satisfaction, the job inspector came by to view the work as it was being done. Once all was completed they cleaned up everything to the point that you almost wouldn't know they had been there. I'll hire this company many more times in the future.
