The job went according to plan. They were very responsive and had excellent communication, sometimes maybe to a fault. Overall very happy with their service.

Someone answered on the first ring and an appointment was set - but only after insisting that my wife and I both be home to be sure not to waste their time - a little unusual, but not unheard of. As is normally done, the call taker suggested that the estimator would call on the way to give an ETA - for most vendors, this is their polite way of making sure we haven't forgotten about the appointment. The appointed time came and went - with the two of us carving out 2+ uncommitted hours for the estimator - no Power... Called later to find out what happened. Turns out Power Home Remodeling expected ME to call THEM the day of the estimator's visit to confirm that both of us would be home at the appointed time - and the person answering the phone sounded slightly annoyed that we had wasted their time by not calling to confirm. So basically, without telling me, I was expected to not only reserve a block of time for two of us to be present for this visit, but also to set a reminder to call them in advance to avoid wasting their time. Set another appointment for a week later - no show again. I don't often hire people to work on my home, but when I do have a need to do so, I pretty much expect that the company doing it cares whether or not they get my business. ...having somebody demand that I jump through hoops, even little ones, for the privilege of paying them something on the order of $30K? ...just doesn't work for me. I do, however, have to congratulate Power Home Remodeling for having such a successful business that they don't need to appear that they care about getting new customers - must have done something right along the way.

Very well, our sales person Lindsey was extremely knowledgeable about her product. She was very patient and took the time needed to provide us with the best service.

We need roof work on our home and had a couple of estimates. When someone came by offering a free estimate, my wife called me, thinking that it was in response to a previous estimate. I immediately realized that it was a door-to-door salesman canvasing area to obtain leads. He was young and friendly, but in my opinion, inexperienced. His semi hard-sell sales pitch didn’t work and he wouldn’t leave. I finally gave in because I did want another estimate. Then came the double team because he couldn’t do more than his sales pitch. A second party, supposedly at the home office, was contacted via phone and I was transferred to him. He came on with working-point questions from what appeared to be a scripted sales pitch. It didn’t take long for me to dislike him. He appeared arrogant with no personal warmth and empathy. I objected to his wanting that my wife be present for the estimate. This is undesirable due to extenuating circumstances. We made an appointment for an estimate visit. Waited for hours on that day, the estimator didn’t show up. There were also no phone calls. I think that they didn’t show because my negative comments to the salesman were heard. His phone had been left on. Although the company has good BBB and Angies’s List ratings I still would not deal with them. There are several negative ratings on Angie’s List from members that have had similar experiences.

They were friendly and knowledgeable. This was the second time we used them and they were able to complete the window replacement in a timely manner.

The sales process was a little long, tedious and somewhat high pressure, but the onsite work was exemplary and the products used were of high quality. As our house is about 60 years old and there is no access to our attic/crawl space I did expect to run into some unknown, but perhaps suspected issues. One in particular was the the unknown existing roof material, I suspected we did not have plywood. We did discussed this prior to the onsite work and had established pricing for this alternative. Proper roof ventilation was also discussed and included in the proposal. The scheduling of the work happened faster than I expected. The crew showed up right on time and immediately began working. The old roof was removed and as suspected the roof was all barn board. I was given 2 options, either remove the barn board and replace with 3/4 inch plywood or cover the barn board with 1/4 plywood (prices were supplied quickly). Since the barn board was in good shape the project manager suggested keeping it and going with the lower cost option of 1/2 inch plywood. I agreed, supplies were onsite in short order and work continued. I was originally told the work would be 1 day, this obviously changed the scope of work and I expected the work to continue into a second day. I was amazed at how far they got on day one, and it only ended up being another half day. The crew did a nice job cleaning up. The gutter work was performed by a different crew that was also very good. There attention to detail was commendable as he noticed after removing one of the gutters that a drip edge was not positioned correctly. He called the project manager who came on site within an hour and half to inspect the issue. It was determined that the issue could be fixed in place and the project manager did it himself right there and then. The gutter crew did an excellent job and again cleaned up after themselves. Both crews were very receptive to questions and very thorough and polite in their answers. Both crews managed to complete their work without disturbing my tomato's or asparagus growing near the side of the house. I am happy with what this has done for the appearance of our home. I'm confident that we will not have to do anything to our roof for many years to come. Additionally our electric bill for August went down as it has positively affected our cooling costs.

Workers were fast and professional. Did have a few mishaps that were corrected immediately. Roof looks great.

The roofers were great and did an excellent job cleaning up the mess.

They showed up exactly when they said they would. The door gave them some trouble because there was rot when they removed the old door, but they fixed it and I absolutely love my new door. The windows make me happy. I can actually open and closed windows that for 14 years I couldn't. I have them coming back to replace another door. The workers were so nice and kept me apprised of everything.

After a very lengthly sales pitch (sale rep. very nice) we agreed on pricing and the work to be performed. Sale rep sent out the project manager to go over specs. Which at that time we were told it was going to cost more money due to a calculation error. We declined and they agreed to do the work for price agreed upon. Roof was done first and when the roof was being put up I noticed the shingles had blue in them. I don't recall seeing blue in the sample that was shown to me. The color on the contract was the color of the shingles delivered. (Sample was not the entire shingle size) I would not have put a shingle with blue in it when my house is white and brown. Even though I was not happy my husband said it was good so I dropped it. Project manager was on site when I questioned this and was showing that the shingle are what we ordered. Next the crew for the attic insulation came in, work performed and they left. Project manager arrived and asked if work was performed to satisfaction. Seems to have been done correctly. Last was the doors and shutters, doors went up then the shutters. We have a corner lot and existing shutters are around the entire house. Unfortunately the shutters that were being replaced were just for the front of the house. I explained I would not have agreed to have 3 sets of shutters changed and leave 6 shutters of the old style up on the house. Project manager agreed this may have been an error on their part and he would get the shutters from a local vendor. He then explained the cost for them, which at that time I said not to replace them I would not pay additional money. He agreed to do the shutters for price quoted. After the doors and shutters were up I saw that the door and shutters were different color brown. Believe me I was not happy. Several employee's came to talk and I was upset because the color was to be the same and wasn't. At the time my husband agreed with me, although after talking with the project manager and several other employees he said he thought it was fine. I just gave up and agreed keep the doors and shutters with the color difference. Now I am sorry I did that. I also noticed that my front door on the top does not have any corking on it plus the flashing is showing on the top of the door. Out of everything the doors were the most expensive and I did not like that they raised the foot plate and the door is now smaller than it was. I did have a 36 x 80" door opening, now it is 36x79"! Try to find a storm door to fit that size, you can't. Really disappointed. I should have gone to Lowe's and purchase my doors and have a local vendor install both exterior and storm doors. Too late now, my bad. I do have to say that all the people that work for the company are very nice and the roofers did a great job. I just don't feel for the price paid that I have a good experience.

I'm getting different prices. We have two costs. The first guy that came out quoted me $54.95 and then a second person came out and quoted me $37.69. That's like a 33% difference in price, for the same work. They're a big company, I think; they're a national company. I haven't had them work, all I did was get a quote, but I thought the quote was kind of odd because I got two quotes. They did really well on pitching their windows and the quality, they way the windows are made and the way they're installed. It was a two hour sales pitch, but I'd say I got a lot of information I didn't know. Would I use them in the future? It depends if they're in the ballpark. I'm not sure. My biggest concern was how they could drop the price that much. Then I started doing some reading online and I found that if I sign a contract and within three days if I decide to cancel it, that price would go down even more. I don't know what the quality of the work is, but they don't give you the best and final price when you first meet with them. That's my biggest concern; how low will they go.

It went well they arrived on time and started working right on time . The quality manager came to checked to see if work was done has promised. Danny the installer was very professional . Would use this company again.

It was good. They did have to cancel one appointment, but their quality was excellent and they cam on time the second time.

Great company to work with. Great communication, efficient employees who are thorough in explanations, respectful and courteous. All of the people we worked with take pride in their company and their work. They spent the entire day ensuring the bay window was properly installed and roofed; confirmed repeatedly that we were happy with the product and the work, and that we knew and understood how to operate all windows, doors, interior blinds, remove panes for cleaning, etc.

Short on cash and big on need, Power worked for us first because of the financing option. Secondly, their efforts to be transparent in their inner workings and the quality of the materials made them the easy choice. Their crew was efficient, excellent at what they do. The company representatives were always responsive and professional, in person and on the phone. I'd give them an A- on the clean up, and almost gave them a B on punctuality, but it was their external vendors that were slow. Everything that Power did, they did thoroughly. We were not getting our trim done, but the crew's other job that day was, so when they took the trim off the front of the house, the error was put in our favor, and we got new trim free on the front of our house! that's how this company endeavors to behave.

No show and no call back. I look at this as an indication of how they would treat me as a paying customer. Very poor.

Job date October 2016 - This job went well. The sales person was very knowledgeable and not pushy. We loved the quality of their windows and agreed to the job after negotiating a price. (Get several estimates.) They came as scheduled. Three men installed 18 windows in one day. They were very efficient and worked well together. They cleaned up afterward for the most part. There were a couple dings in the wall paint, and some interior vacuuming was needed. The only negative was that most of the windows had fingerprints from caulking on the outside. We spent a lot of time washing the windows after placement. And getting the caulk was difficult to remove. I felt they should have left them clean-afterall, they are new windows! The company addressed a few issues we had with one window,and they came back to fix it. PHR wants to make you happy and stand by their work/product. We can always reach someone via phone if we need them. Everyone is professional and pleasant to talk to. We really like our new windows-it was nice this past winter - our old ones fell from the top down!! I would recommend this company for your window needs.

Power sent a representative out to review all of the work that we were looking to do. At first we were skeptical, it sounded too good to be true, but with no money required for a down payment we decided to use them. They followed through on their promise 150%. Everyone was on time, professional, and polite. The project went smoothly and efficiently, they were very attentive to every detail we mentioned and we could tell they wanted us to be happy with the work. We loved it so much we will be doing our siding with them in the next few years. I would recommend them to anyone. This is how contracting work on your home should be done.
