Total Temperature Control

Used this company many years ago to repair a water heater. Have not needed repair since then because I ended up buying a new one a few years ago. Have no recall about price.

They showed on time, diagnosed the system as expected - running a pressure test. They confirmed the system would not accept Freon and provided an estimate on replacing the system. I have used this company multiple times, they're honest, always performing just what's needed and their prices have always been fair.

what they did was okay....however they have had to do the same service year after year and they are always surprised that they have to do it. So all in all, nothing has ever been fixed. To boot, the last time they were here their time frame was from 9 - 12 and the service guy finally showed up at about 2pm after me calling the company many times. From that, we were initally charged for double the amount of time that he was actually here for. The service guy was fine and professional, but the overall expereience was awful. We will never use them again, and our air conditioning system is still broken.

We insisted they find the root of the problem, which they couldn't find. We were concerned to be without heat over the weekend, esp. right before the holidays. I applaud their diligence in trying to figure it out. As it turned out, a whole other issue is at play and they did a temporary fix which isn't hurting the system at all. But we will not attempt to do this until the weather warms and we aren't dependent on heat. They did not charge us for overtime while the hours rolled over into the night time. Their diligence and attention to figuring out the issue is applauded.

The owner, John, arrived. He reviewed the system and he gave a few options. I had to have the chimney inspected prior to receiving the estimate. The owner called the city plumbing inspector to check the local codes. We are deciding on whether to use gas or oil. We are very satisfied with the company's response and knowledge.

I had scheduled routine maintenance on my Lochinvar Knight high efficiency boiler, and Total Temperature Control Inc seems to be the only MA company certified on this high end brand. Two days before the appointment, the boiler detected a sensor problem and went into lockout mode to prevent any further issues. No amount of manual resets would correct the issue, leaving us with no heat or hot water. I called TTC the next morning requesting they move up the appointment, and they were able to accommodate us. That afternoon, Ryan showed up and was able to perform the scheduled maintenance and correct the lockout issue. He also gave me a verbal review of the boiler and indirect water heater's installation (performed by another contractor). TTC's quick response saved me some big headaches, the price was inline with my expectations, and Ryan was good to work with. I expect them to be my go to source for my heating and also A/C needs.

They gave us good quotes. We elected to use someone else. They're very professional. They did a good job and got back to me in a reasonable period of time.

We developed a hot water circulator cartridge leak 48 hours before a walk through for a new owner for our condo. We called 4 plumbers no one would come out because it was late Saturday afternoon. They would come on Monday. Monday was the walk through. I called TTC and John responded came out did not have the part but made a call and came out on a Sunday morning to do the repair. My husband and I were so relieved and grateful. The cost is the only reason I gave 4 stars. John explained the reason for the cost being that repair was done outside regular business hours. John was our guardian angel and we are so grateful. Thank you, John.

We scheduled the installation for a first appointment on a Thursday. Both my wife and I were having breakfast ( 07:30) when the knock came on the back door. It was the electrician who came early to get a 'heads up' on the job. He first explained how the job would go, what guys would be responsible for what, and why he came early - to put it his way...we want you happy! After reviewing his part, the rest of the crew came. For the next couple of hours there had to be five maybe six workers involved to get the system in fast and correct. When all the work was completed, the electrician came into the house and took time instructing us on how to work the remote. What I enjoyed was not that he spoke as fast as he could and just left, but made sure we understood the logos and how to make that remote important. So here we a week later with a rectangle white box on the kitchen wall. It has a green light but no sounds. The best part of the entire job my first floor is very comfortable. No humidity in the house, no loud moan/hum of an ac in the window. We shoulda (!!) did this a long time ago !!!! Very pleased with sales and installation teams

As stated above, timely in all respects,good job and sold superior products. Company researched and provided, often filed, all rebate forms (a substantial money saving number). Good folks with whom to work from office to installation to follow up. We Highly reccommend. Do your research, don't opt for the cheapest. Only wish is that they oferred a service contract.

I don't have time to tell the story nor do I remember. They came, did what they said they'd do and I was happy. end of story.

They were very good. Our air conditioning unit is on the third floor. So, they had to get a very large ladder to service it. They went above and beyond to be able to take care of it. They were quick to respond.

The technician was right on schedule and took the time to explain to me what he was doing and teach me a bit about how the furnace safety systems worked. He also helped me solve a long-standing problem with the filter getting caught.

very professiona, John did the assessment and evaluated all the areas of my house and showed me the different types of heating options that would work. he spent the time to show me the qualities of one type over the other. He also explained how the systems efficiency would work in my type of home. He also explained to me about rebate offers that we're available from different companies. I chose a middle of the line carrier model gas system along with a programmable thermostat. within 2 weeks it was installed. the only issue was they had to come back to enlarge the size of the air intake, the new furnace worked very efficiently. I was very happy with the work, the equipment, the office staff were great as well. I would use them agin.

Service call went well. Arrived on time and completed work with no problems. Very professional. I have used this company numerous times over the past several years, they are always helpful and very responsive. I would highly recommend them.

I would tell others that they are the best in the area. They just did a really good job. They told me exactly what they were doing and they did exactly what they told me. Their price is average.

TTC showed up quickly, which was nice. However, a couple of days after the install, my wife and I came home from work to find the house filled with an overwhelming gas smell. We immediately called the utility (WMGLD). The technician from WMGLD used his electronic sniffer to determine that the gas smell was coming from the gas line running into the hot water heater. He informed me that the coupler that TTC used was 'leaking like a sieve'. After the danger had passed and WMGLD corrected TTC's mistakes, I immediately emailed the owner of TTC attempting to understand how he might consider compensating me from nearly killing my family through negligence. The next morning, I got a call from the man who performed the actual installation who was insisted that the real problem was that I didn't call TTC when I smelled gas, which was baffling to me because when I smelled the gas I had no idea that TTC was even at fault. So, he thought it was sufficient to somehow shift a portion of the blame to me and then end the call. Eventually, I heard indirectly from the owner by way of the receptionist who apparently insisted that I would get no remedy until I produced a bill and a report from WMGLD. So, in summary: TTC's bad workmanship almost killed my family, I was charged full price, and TTC attempted to make the argument that the situation was my fault for not calling them immediately instead of the utility. I might consider working with TTC again if I suffer a major head injury that impairs my decision making abilities. If I eventually get the formal report from WMGLD, I might reach out and attempt to get refunded some portion of the price paid, but I don't think I would like to waste one more second of my life dealing with these unprofessional hacks.

One year when they came the fellow doing the work disclosed that he and another technician were "racing" to see how many ppl they cd service in a given time. Not the smartest thing to tell a paying customer. I think their work is standard, not exceptional. They're close by and big, so usually available. I'd prefer building relationships with smaller businesses who value customer relations. They're not bad, they're not great either.

John came at the appointed time to give me an estimate. He was very complete and professional. The estimate was delivered quickly and professionally. He responded quickly when I later called him with questions and concerns . The workmen came on time and completely the work carefully and completely. They were professional, neat, and helpful. They answered all of my questions, walked me through the system, and left the house as neat as it was before they came. I was told it would take 2 full days for the work to be completed and it was done in a little less time. The women in the office helped by completing all of the forms necessary for rebates for the equipment. I was very happy with the service I received and the level of professionalism of all involved. I would recommend them highly. Although the price was higher than the other 3 companies that I got estimates from, I felt much more confident with this company and thus chose to use them.

Dave did a thorough job troubleshooting our system, and identified the problem in one our sensors after about 1.5 hours. He did not have a spare sensor available, so he wired the system to operate in its absence until the part could be replaced. We had a working furnace through the storm. On the following Friday, Rob came by and installed the replacement sensor. Overall, a very satisfactory experience, at a reasonable price.

The only problem that I had with them was that I thought that they overcharged for the parts otherwise they were good. They took two days to fix the system. I had looked them up online and found that price that they charged for the parts was more. I was little upset with that. They came on time and they did the job. I think that it took them a little longer time than it should have to figure out what was wrong but they did figured it out.

It was a positive experience. We used them this time because they have done other work for us. They seem reliable and their service has been consistent. The price seems neither high nor low.

We did not end up using Total Temperature. We called several companies for estimates. They did fairly well with the estimate. They explained what was going on and what needed to be replaced and why. The technician seemed to know what he was talking about.

Total Temperature Control is thorough and accurate in what they do and say.

I paid about 1200 on the job. They were efficient. I have used them several times now and I have always been happy with their service. Their price was a little higher than what I had expected it to be. I will use them again in the future.
