The job involved a lot of painting of trim and detail work. Preparation of surfaces and application of two coats of paint made for a lengthy job to allow for complete drying between coats. As problems appeared throughout the work (settlement cracks, damaged wood that needed to be patched) each was handled in turn. Only additional cost as a result of issues noted during actual work was I opted to have one room completely painted, ceiling to floor, (had scheduled ceiling and trim only) to better handle more damage to walls than I had originally noted. The additional cost was minimal and the results spectacular. Each day they arrived on time and set up causing only minimal disruption to my routine and thoroughly cleaned up before departing at end of day. They took photos of how each room was arranged and furniture was returned to original location and decorative items placed exactly as they were before the work began. Crew were unable to complete full range of work on schedule due to the problems encountered/mentioned above, but arranged to return at a time of my convenience and not only completed the scheduled work but took the time to touch up a few areas not included on the job but noted during the punch-list walk through. I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and attention to detail.

The crew was very professional and neat. They kept us updated daily on their progress. All furniture was moved and covered during the painting, and was returned to the original location after each room was done. They used Benjamin Moore paint, and every area painted came out great. I would recommend Rick and his team.

Rick's crew did a very good job to fix our basement. It was a long process due to the insurance papers, etc. But Rick was able to fit our project into his schedule and moved the project along without long delays. Rick's estimate is reasonable and the quality of the job is great. All the cracks/baseboard gaps are fixed. His crew was very friendly. They also did a very good job cleaning up after the work was done.

We have used Orcutt and continue to use them for each of our home remodeling projects. Even when we have found areas of opportunity, Rick has had the team come back to complete touch-ups and the like. Professional, timely and courteous.

We had three companies bid on the job, and we chose Orcutt due to their strong reviews and fair price, as well as our interactions with Rick and Reinner, both of whom were very friendly and professional. We had just purchased the townhouse and had a general contractor (GC) doing a large amount of work, and we asked the GC to coordinate with Orcutt while they came in to paint to ensure everyone remained in sync and on schedule. Our GC, unfortunately, was not as communicative as we had hoped, which caused some frustration for us and for Orcutt. Orcutt came in immediately and did a bunch of prep work and prepared to do most of the painting before our floors were to be refinished, which would restrict access to the townhouse for a week. However, the floor guys suddenly moved up the schedule, which threw everyone off, including Orcutt, and this wasn't communicated to them immediately like we had asked; we had to let Rick and his team know instead. Despite the inconvenience this caused for him and his schedule, Rick was very understanding and took everything in stride. He switched his scheduling around, and as soon as the townhouse was available again, he immediately had Reinner and his team go back in and finished the job quickly. We were not around while the team was doing the actual painting, but we checked in frequently and were really happy with how everything looked. No mistakes with the different colors we requested, all of the pre-existing drywall cracks and imperfections had disappeared, and everything looked fresh and new. We did a walkthrough with Rick soon afterward. He pointed out that the pencil marks we made on the walls prior to painting had bled through (had no idea lead pencil could bleed through even new paint so quickly) and said his team had used a bunch of stain remover to take the pencil marks out. We found a couple of spots where the pencil was still showing, and Rick sent his team back in to remove those as well. By the time we did a second walkthrough a few days later, those marks were all gone too. I've worked with a number of contractors, and this was one of the best experiences I've had with one. Rick and Reinner were both very responsive, friendly, and professional, and Rick kept us up to date with his team's progress; no need to chase anyone down, no concerns about when the job would be finished, and we couldn't be happier with the results. I've already hired them to do another job on a second property. I highly recommend them

Rick and his crew are amazing! Not only is the quality of the painting superb, but the professionalism and responsiveness were like nothing I've experienced before. Rick called me back immediately and was extremely timely and detailed with the quotes. Brano and his colleague who actually came and did the painting were curteous, quiet and extremely meticulous. you can't believe how good our house looks now! if you are looking for a high quality paint job with a company you can rely on, call Rick asap! You won't be disappointed. I plan to call him back when we are ready to paint more rooms.

I contacted Rick Orcutt in February as I wanted to set a date for painting the house when most of my family would be away in May. I heard back immediately, and partner Greg, came to assess the work needed and give a quote. The quote was slightly more expensive than quotes of others whom I had contacted, but was well within the ball-park. We set a date, subject to some leeway depending on weather. I checked nearer the time to find that our date was adrift by only 3 days due to rain. The crew turned up promptly when expected and from beginning to end, worked quietly, efficiently, effectively and professionally until the job was complete, leaving the place spic and span at the end of each day. Care of plantings around the house were of crucial importance to me, and I had been bracing myself for disappointments, but I don't believe a single branch was broken. They did a great job with that. Greg also kindly accommodated a late request to have finished the front of the house by a certain date so that some dusty lawn repair-work could take place there. The weather broke just before the completion of the painting job, but as promised, the crew returned immediately conditions were suitable again, and finished off the job. Overall, the experience was a very good one, and Greg, who was on site almost every day, was a great listener, advisor and manager.

What a fantastic experience! So pleased with the guys from Orcutt Painting. The painters were meticulous, completely cleaned up after the job and even rehung a very fussy window sheer setup. Rick Orcutt is absolutely a dream to work with. I wouldn't waste your time looking elsewhere; I didn't. After reading all their reviews, I didn't bother calling anyone else and I'm so glad. We will be having them back to do the basement after it is finished. Thanks again, guys!

Orcutt Painting Co. was a great choice for the work that needed to be done in our house. We had significant damage from ice dams of last winter. Rick sent Ray out quickly to give us an estimate. Since we were not sure about the condition of the walls in several rooms I asked Rick to split the job by first removing the wall coverings. Splitting the job gave us time to decide whether to patch or replace the walls. The team came out with Sam in charge. They covered the furniture and wall to wall carpeting and did an excellent job of removing the wall coverings and cleaning the walls. Sam responded to all our questions politely and professionally. They thoroughly cleaned up and left the house very neat. We were satisfied with the work and recommend them.

They patched meticulously and they cut in rather than just slather tape everywhere, which requires more skill. This means my window muntins have perfect edges. They did everything they said they would. They came promptly, worked diligently and were really neat. They have skilled and trustworthy staff and took care every day to be thoughtful in my house. Lucas and Richard did most of the painting and have been a pleasure to deal with.

This was the third time we used Orcutt Painting and continue to be extremely happy with their work and way of doing business. We were selling our condo and the work needed to be completed on a very tight schedule. They were very accommodating to our timeline to fit us in. The promptness, professionalism and courtesy was top notch. The quality of the work, rcare they took to prevent any ancillary damage, cleanup after the work, etc. were all great. The price was right. A family run business that is proud of what they do.

We were completely impressed by the work of the Orcutt team. The walls and trim in the house look great, and the work was done quickly and professionally. Greg was extremely responsive and communicated the project status with us regularly throughout the process. We will definitely use them again next time we have a painting project.

I hired Rick to take care of a rental property that sustained damage due to the crazy winter. Rick was very responsive and we were able to schedule an appointment a day later. He came to provide an estimate which we received sooner than expected. The pricing was reasonable and, based upon my first impression of Rick as a professional, knowledgeable and responsive person, I did not hesitate to hire him. Rick was very thorough in walking me through the entire project. He also spent a good deal of time talking to my tenant about what she could expect from them, what they would take care of i.e., the moving of furniture, artwork, etc. and what she would be responsible for i.e., the moving of small, delicate items. He put both of our minds at ease. The job went smoother than expected. They were able to finish ahead of schedule to accommodate my tenant and the work was excellent! Very professional, thorough and so nicely done. This entire experience was seamless and I would not hesitate for a moment to hire him again.

I can't say enough good things about them. We have used different painters over the years before but we found Orcutt from Angies' List. Rick called us back quickly and promptly, came out to give us a very reasonable estimates and advice. Were able to scheduled the work quickly, and everything was done within 2 days (similar to another reviewer, Brano and his colleague showed up 30 mins early on each day, work diligently the whole time, cleaned up thoroughly - you wouldn't even know they were there). I took half a day off each time to stay home but honestly I would be totally comfortable leaving them there by themselves. Would definitely use them again for future painting need.

Did an excellent job. First day patched holes and got everything ready. Showed 30 mintues early. Second day also showed early and painted our living room exactly as we wanted it done. We need more painting and wll definitely use them again!

You don’t even know they’ve been there quite frankly. They are really great to work with and the owner is great. They are very reasonable.

I was very pleased with the work. The walls in the living room had cracks that needed repair and that was done perfectly. Robson did the work and was professional, polite and thorough. Ray did a walk through after and addressed any questions I might have. Overall, I felt quite satisfied. I've had painters who were less careful and not as expert. Orcutt did a great job.

Rick Orcutt came out very promptly and gave us a thorough estimate, after discussing some options with us. His price was very reasonable for all of the work. We had used Orcutt Painting a few years ago and were extremely pleased with their work and the cost. So, we went with them without hesitation. The crew was ready to begin promptly at 8am each day and were very conscious of trying to minimize the impact of all this work on our daily living. The manager, Greg, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Throughout the process, he provided many great ideas that we had never considered. Rudy and the rest of the crew were very nice and friendly, and, most important of all, they did a great job! The whole job took 6 1/2 days. We have a fairly small dog, Puggle. We were able to keep him out of their way most of the time. But, they were very friendly and patient with him when he did go to greet them. After making some changes in our initial plans - some that we initiated and some that Greg suggested, we were very happy with the final result. In addition, the final cost was about the same as the initial estimate! But, it seems that we got a lot more for our money. They didn't "nickel and dime" us.

The team did a great job. They took their time with the prep work, resulting in an excellent finished product. We are very happy with the result.

Rick's crew was hardworking and very easy to have around. They went out of their way to be accommodating when we were around. We felt very comfortable having them in our home even when we weren't there. We would definitely use their service sagain. We highly recommend Orcutt Painting.

Rick and Greg were amazing! Professional, responsive, personable. They nearly instantly responded to calls/emails, patiently answered our questions, and clearly cared about the quality of the work and our satisfaction. I was most impressed when Greg called to warn me about a room that was "getting really bright" - he held off on the third coat, predicting (absolutely correctly) that we would prefer a more toned down look. When we agreed with his assessment, Greg arranged to do two test patches of a lighter color - we selected one of them for the final coat, and the final result is perfect. It's clear that this business operates with integrity, and I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone.

This is the second time we've used Orcutt and were equally happy with the work done. They were responsive, fit the job into our rather tight schedule, arrived on time and carried the work out quickly, thoroughly and professionally. They also did an excellent job at cleaning up after the work. The company owner subsequently stopped in to review the work and ensure that were satisfied Another excellent job.
