The entire experience with Rick and his team was very positive. Right from the beginning, he operated with great precision, including setting up and keeping the initial appointment, providing a detailed and clear estimate, getting the job done as planned, communicating during the job, and quickly handling minor touch-ups at the end. One part of our job that was most notable was the painting of wood trim that required prep work including sanding and priming. Rick explained clearly the different options of how this could be done, and how the final outcome could be better if we used a oil-based primer rather than a fast drying Kilz. We went with the oil-based primer even though this added some time to the job, and we're happy that we did, because the outcome looks very good. When we have future painting needs, we will think first of Orcutt painting.

This was our second time using Rick - the first time we were extremely pleased, not only with his work, but with the overall quality of his entire crew from start to finish. This time around, Rick was quick to respond to my initial contact, he gave me an estimate that he stuck to, and his partner Ray was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The quality was fantastic, they followed up to make sure everything was done right, and they stand behind their work. I can't recommend this company enough!!!

The job was completed in one day, and you would never know the work took place - everything was left so organized and clean. I highly recommend this company for all of the reasons in this review - Brendan arrived early, was very professional and did a great job. Very pleased!

From beginning to end, the experience of working with Orcutt Painting was a breeze. I contacted Orcutt Painting to get an estimate on painting the first floor of my condo. Rick scheduled a site visit within the week and sent a reasonable estimate within 48 hrs. I don't know much about paints, but Rick took the time to explain my options and the relative benefits and costs of the various grades of paint. He also reassured me that his team could paint samples of my newly chosen colors and get my feedback before committing to painting a room. When the day came to begin painting, the Orcutt team was at my door bright, early and on time. The manager and painters all introduced themselves & explained the plan for the day. They carefully moved furniture and window treatments out of the way, protected them with drop cloths, and got down to work. When I arrived home at the end of the day, everything planned was complete. The rooms were left clean, furniture moved back in place where possible, and the kitchen and bathroom were usable. The same process happened on day 2. Rick originally estimated 3 days to paint the 4 rooms, but the Orcutt team was so efficient that they were done in 2. And, when I arrive home at the end of day 2, my condo looked spectacular! I did have one issue where, at the end of the project, the painters put back a wall hanging that I intended to throw out. Rick's manager called at the end of day 2 to confirm that I was happy with the results, and I alerted him to the issue. He immediately scheduled a return visit to take down the hanging and repaint the area. The painter who came to correct the issue was prompt, courteous, and, when he was finished, I couldn't tell that the area needed to be patched. I will definitely use Rick & his team for future painting projects.

Rick was very detailed and upfront in creating his estimate to determine exactly what we wanted to have painted in our home, so that there were no surprises at the end with respect to what should or should not be painted. His crew was very careful in their painting activities with respect to protecting our floors, which was well appreciated since our hardwood floors had just been newly sanded and refinished. We were uncertain of the color choice for our Master Bedroom and appreciated that Rick's team offered to paint the entire room in our proposed color (with the option to repaint) so that we could see whether we liked the color or not in the absence of the previous wall color. We love how our newly painted home looks and would hire Rick's team again if we have future painting projects.

The Orcutt crew was on time every day, courteous, quiet, and respectful. They painted efficiently and cleaned as they worked. The job went very well and was finished ahead of schedule. Note - Upon first day of painting, Rick and Greg pointed out several issues left behind by the plasterer and explained how they would have to fix the imperfections in order to provide me with the best end result. With over 30 years experience, we felt their recommendations were fair and accurate. They were right, the work performed was exceptional and we will not hesitate to use Orcutt Painters again and recommend them to friends. Each of the above individuals was professional and personable. Sam and Adriano arrived each day at the scheduled time . They described exactly what they were going to do that day as well as the overall plan to complete the project. Not only did they do an excellent job, but completed the work on the timetable they'd laid out. They covered the pieces of furniture that couldn't be moved out of the room, and when finished, left behind a room that was perfectly clean and in order.They were very considerate of us, respectful of our home, very polite, and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely use them as our painters for all future interior painting.

We are extremely happy with Orcutt Painting and the work they recently did for us. Rick Orcutt was very responsive and easy to get hold of. We've dealt with many, many contractors in our personal and professional lives and I found Rick to be one of the best I've ever dealt with for communications and customer relations. For example, he consistently returned my calls almost immediately -- in my experience, even brilliant contractors are often sorely deficient at this. Rick is an exception... We normally do our own interior painting but I don't have the equipment (or painting talents) to take on our kitchen with its 14' cathedral ceiling and immovable cabinets, appliances and counters. Hence the need for a painter. We actually had one lined up with an agreed upon start date but for reasons still unknown, he never showed up (and I have yet to hear from him so I fear something bad happened). At any rate, I had to scramble to find another painter quickly so I turned to Angie's List and contacted several highly rated painters. Rick was the first to respond, clearly understood what we wanted done, provided a written estimate very quickly, proposed a fair price and was able to meet our time constraints. We arranged a job site visit and his assistant Ray, came to the door at the scheduled time on the dot. Especially after being stood up by the other painter, I immensely appreciated this punctuality - a trait the company continued to display throughout the entire job. I also asked Rick to provide some references in addition to those on Angie's List which he did without the least bit of hesitation. Those references provided rave reviews, more than confirming the positive ones on Angie's List and my own assessment. As to their job performance, they had 2 painters (Robson and Anthony) on the job for the 3 days who did their work quietly, skillfully, professionally and without any extraneous drama. They were great to work with and did a fantastic job. The rooms were kept spotless with everything covered in the morning and then fully packed up at the end of the day so we had complete use of the rooms for the evenings. We're absolutely thrilled with the quality of Orcutt's work - the 2 rooms look beautiful. I highly recommend this company and we plan on using them again for our next major painting jobs. We had worked with Orcutt previously so it was a no-brainer to call them again. My wife and I were comparing notes after the job and she said "they deserve a walk-on-water review". This is it. They are ultra-responsive, clear communicators, take great pride in their work and handle themselves with the utmost professionalism. Truly a pleasure to work with.

The job went very well, They came right on time and did the job in the time and price as quoted. Things looked so good after the first day that I gave them add-on work. Would definitely use Rick and his guys again.

Orcutt Painting did a great job! They finished a huge job in two days, and we were very happy with the results. I would use them again, and recommend them to others.

Rick was professional throughout the process. We had one problem with a toilet that backed up as a result of paper being thrown into it by the workers. Rick immediately accepted responsibility, and replaced the ceiling in the room below and repainted it. I'm certain it won't happen again. Rick's pricing was fair and he stresses how he stands behind his work.

We needed some plaster work done in advance and they recommended a great provider for that. They painted our bathroom including the trim and painted our hallway and stairway. It had been previously painted by a different provider and it was a shoddy job, so we had Orcutt redo it. They did a great job! Fast, clean, timely, great work (I'm a perfectionist), fair price. All around excellent!

Because they did such an excellent job last year on our bathroom and hallway/stairway, we went right to them when we wanted to paint more rooms. They painted the two rooms quickly and perfectly!

I needed an apartment repainted a week before new tenants moved in. Ray and his crew were able to do so within the tight time frame and did a great job too. Definitely recommended.

The work was done well, with minimal interruption to our lives. We have lofted ceilings in the stairwell, upstairs hall, and master, and Robson and his guys did a very nice job of getting to everything. The guys were respectful of our requests and took care to not let our cat sneak outside. I offered a small side job to Robson and he stated he would be interested but that he needed to clear it with Rick, the owner, first, who approved it. I was impressed that he and Rick had a policy and followed it. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them.

This is my third or fourth time hiring Rick Orcutt and his company, and they have all been fabulous experiences. All the usual accolades apply: reliable, high-quality, easy to work with, helpful, and reasonable priced. Their work is impeccable!

They did a great job. Great team, went straight to work, wasted no time, and cleaned up worksite completely. The guys were pleasant and very responsive to our questions and requests. House looks great. Price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

EXCELLENT! We worked with Rick on the initial estimate and project scheduling. He was great to work with and is the one of the main reasons we chose them for the job. Greg was on site to manage the work and ensure everything went smoothly. The two guys (Randy and another) did an outstanding job. The attention to detail was great and we are very, very happy with the work. The transformation is incredible. I was on vacation when they did the work and they only had to come back for a few hours for a few minor things..that was it! We highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

Rick and his team were very thorough and professional throughout the entire job. We knew that Rick was very busy but he and his team got the job done very quickly (even working on a saturday). His team knew we had small children so they did a great job keeping the job site clean as well as helping to move furniture around to the kids could sleep in their rooms, prior to the job being completed. We felt that Rick's price was very fair and the work was excellent.

This is the 2nd time that we have used Orcutt Painting for a medium-size job. Once again, they exceeded our expectations. The customer services is outstanding, the quality is great, and the overall value is the main reason why we have used them for a second time. The crew, led by Sam, was very responsive to our needs, was very friendly and courteous, and was willing to modify the plan without any hesitation when we decided to make some changes to the color scheme after some work had already been completed. Rick, the owner, strives to make sure that the customer is happy in every regard. The estimates are extremely competitive.
