Our experience with Orcutt Painting was exactly how you want a painting job to go. Rick Orcutt, the owner, got back to me immediately and set up the estimate. He listened to and answered all my questions and provided an extremely detailed estimate. Our painters were Sam and Andrew. Their work was exceptional--if I had to get any more painting done I would definitely request them. The job took three full days. They spent most of the first day prepping and repairing settling cracks and patching up flaws. In particular, our stairway had a number of settling cracks but now it looks absolutely flawless. And I would say that about all the walls they painted. Sam and Andrew were very professional and and friendly. They cleaned up at the end of every day and the very last day they did a thorough vacuuming of all painting debris. I highly recommend Orcutt Painting.

Orcutt Painting Co. delivered excellent service. They were flexible in painting small sections of the wall to allow me to make the right paint color choices. The staff was on time, efficient and completed the job when they said they would. In particular, I needed other related carpentry work done during the painting and Rick Orcutt helped identify a contractor and coordinated painting with the other contractor as needed during the job. They cleaned up carefully and followed up to assure that the work was done to my satisfaction. I would absolutely hire them again.

Rick, Greg and the crew were fantastic at every step. They were prompt giving me quotes when I called and started the work shortly after on my schedule. I hired Rick to work on our home for two different projects within the last 3 months. His crew essentially removed wallpaper then prepped and painted all of the trim, doors, windows and walls throughout the first floor and part of the second floor. Communication is key during any project and Rick was always very timely to return phone calls or emails as well as work with other trades in terms of scheduling. His crew is very professional and punctual completing the work on time and within budget. I have no reservations recommending that others use him and will definitely call him again when I need work done in the future.

Excellently! The people who came were pleasant, experienced and did an outstanding job. One very nice surprise was that they showed up on time to the minute! They cleaned up after themselves each day and did not create the sanding dust I expected to need to clean up after they left.

They did a great job painting. First rate. Rick is very professional and easy to work with. Our job was difficult because many of the contractors did not keep to their timelines, but Rick was flexible and understanding with us. He wasn't the cheapest estimate I received, but others were fairly close. However, he was the only one that I felt confident giving my money to and getting the finished product I expected. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs painting done.

The previous owner had done a poor job painting the trim - it was obvious that there was little if any prep work done, some the trim started to peel from day 1. Rick Orcutt arrived very quickly to assess the house and provide an estimate and pointed out some small issues that they were able to include in the job. they showed up on time and had the job completed fairly quickly. Started with a power wash and then primed the trim and spots of the main house paint that had also peeled to be painted. The house paint that we had did not exactly match the rest of the house so Rick had a color match done that worked out very well. Rick was very responsive on the phone and clearly wanted us to be pleased with their effort. I am happy with the work and the price was well below other AL providers that I had quote the job.

Rick and he's team arrived on time. Very friendly and ready to work. My rooms look beautiful I'm glad I hired them for the job.

The bottom line: Rick and his crew did an excellent job and we look forward to bringing them back for future interior and exterior painting projects. From our first walk-through/estimate meeting with Rick we felt good about the quality of work we would be getting. He was very attentive to the goals of our project and worked with us to define what we really needed (e.g. not all ceilings needed new paint) and ensure we understood how he could deliver the best work in our space (we have some tricky corners/transitions). Rick was also very accommodating as we added a few more tweaks following our meeting with a designer. Once underway, the crew was respectful of our space and did a great job tidying up at the end of each day. Rick and his manager, Ray, were both accessible and quick to respond to any questions throughout the project. Should we have had any complaints, Rick was willing to engage with us and discuss how he could fix anything with which we were not 100% satisfied.

Rick Orcutt promptly scheduled an in-home quote. He accurately assessed our plaster ceiling condition and recommended a primer coat followed by two finish coats. This turned out to be important, because I saw the surface after the primer and one coat, and then after the second finish coat, and I am very glad that we decided to take his recommendation. Rick gave the most detailed job description including specific Benjamin Moore paints that we selected. He worked with our schedule, and his price was also competitive. The quality of work was excellent, and the job was completed ahead of schedule. Afterward, Rick came on a Saturday to personally inspect the ceilings. There were a few spots that needed a touch up, which he scheduled for Monday morning. The final result is beautiful, and we are completely satisfied.

How'd it go? Let me count the ways! First, Rick Orcutt was very responsive to our initial phone call and quoted us within a week. When the job was complete he called to make sure we were happy with the results. We were thrilled that he valued communication with the customer. Second, the foreman, who checked on the job at least twice a day, and his team of three were such a pleasure to have in our home! It was clear they loved their job and enjoyed working with each other; not one day did we mind having them around! Thirdly, they were respectful, polite and very accommodating if we had questions. Always on time in the morning and a complete clean up and set up for the next day's project were the norm. To say the results were fantastic is an understatement! I enthusiastically recommend Rick Orcutt Painting!!

It all begins with Rick. He is responsive, attentive, and fair. We found ourselves on long backlogs wherever we turned for painting and dry wall repair from last year's ice dam scourge. The difference between Rick and most every other contractor who had a backlog: he would return our calls, let us know where we stood in the queue, and commit to us. Ninety percent of everything is showing up, but knowing that someone will be showing up is critical. His guys were pleasant and professional and easy to work with. They did solid and efficient work and the results are impeccable. Rick cuts a fair deal. If you're looking for professionalism, attentiveness, and unassailable work, Rick is your guy.

Overall working with Rick Orcutt was the best contractor experience we've had to date. He was responsive and flexible when arranging a site visit to provide an estimate. He quickly provided us with an itemized quote as requested. Scheduling the work was also an easy process. Once on site, Rick and his crew were all a pleasure to work with. They worked efficiently and ensured they kept the house as clean as could reasonably be expected. The finished product looks great. On top of everything, we appreciated that Rick gave us time to ensure everything dried well and came out looking good. There was no pressure to pay immediately. You can tell he and his team take pride in their work.

They were so great to work with! They came on time, worked around our schedule, and were incredibly professional. The rooms look amazing. The day that they finished we had a radiator leak and damage some of the wall parts that they had just finished! Rick and his team came back as soon as the wall was dry and fixed it! They were trustworthy. We will definitely be using them in the future for all of our painting needs.

We were extremely pleased with the work done by Orcutt Painting. Rick contacted us, scheduled an onsite visit and provided a quote when he said he would. He was able to schedule us quickly. His crew came on the dates stated, cleaned up at the end of each day, and finished the job early. Three areas needing patching where outdated wall plugs were removed. The Orcutt team did a fantastic job with the project in several ways. We had recently purchased a home that was well-maintained, but dated -- wallpaper, carpeting, old electrical work, old horse-hair plastered ceilings. Here's what the team did for us. First, Rick Orcutt was incredibly responsive, courteous, and insightful in every one of our communications. When I wanted an estimate for the job, he got back to me right away and was willing to find a time that worked best for our schedules. Every time that I needed to talk to him after that, he got back to me promptly. He also was clear and honest about timing for the job any limitations or hurdles that he anticipated before the job or had encountered in the course of doing the job. Second, the work they did is excellent. Many of our walls were covered in wallpaper. Now the wallpaper has been removed, they look like new walls. We feel like we got a fully renovated house for great value. Third, Rick and his team worked with me to coordinate the work with our other contractors, and provided feedback and guidance along the way. We had electricians, flooring and plasterers come in, and where that work affected what the painters were doing, the painters were able to communicate with me and come up with solutions to keep the work moving as smoothly as possible. Fourth, Rick and his team manager gave me great advice along the way -- e.g., how to sequence the contractors, how to handle the crown molding, what paint colors to choose. They provided that important skill of balancing respect for what we wanted to do with providing useful suggestions that we might not have considered. I highly recommend Orcutt Painting. Great company.
