The quality of the painting is excellent. Everything looks fresh and new. We were able to select the paints and the colors with the owner. His employees are friendly, very courteous, and very flexible. They were completely unobtrusive, worked around our use of the rooms. They cleaned up very thoroughly. There were three and at times four men working concurrently, which made the job go very quickly. We are very pleased with the company and its quality and service, and would not hesitate to use them again.

The owner returned my call a few hours after I had left a message. He came to see the job within a week and emailed me an estimate and a contract the next day. I agreed to the terms and returned the contract. He phoned to say the walls would be patched a certain day. The work was neatly performed. Forty-eight hours later two painters came to perform the painting. They asked me to inspect it before they left. I found one small problem which was fixed. Two days latter a Manager who had been here organizing the work came by to pick up a check. He checked to see if I was pleased with the work. The following day Rick Orcutt called to check the work and said if I had any problem with the work in the future, it would be taken care of. The workers were polite, neat and skilled.

I found Rick to be friendly and honest. I could sense that he is very customer-oriented. I felt his estimate was extremely fair and reasonable considering what I needed to have done. The only reason I didn't hire Rick was due to timing. He advised that he wouldn't be able to start until late-August which I completely understood - he's very busy and I was a bit impatient - I was looking for the work to be done yesterday! I'll be on vacation in late-August which would mean pushing this out until early or mid-September and I didn't want to wait that long. I went with another contractor who was able to start in early-August. I would without hesitation hire Rick for any future job and in fact plan on calling him next Spring to have the exterior of my house painted.

It was easy to set up a time to meet and get quotes. They were able to squeeze in with very short notice, and were responsive to my concerns about lead dust.

Price was too high and it took them forever to get back to me

It went great. They were punctual and efficient. Did a great job. Got here on time and always cleaned up when they left. Excellent experience.

Rick never showed up to check with the contractor as promised..no show/ no call. To date, we have tried calling him 4 times and emailing once to ascertain a start date. No response. We are beyond disappointed in a company that Angies List rated so highly and a man we trusted to be a professional. If he is unable to take on additional work or honor he commitment he should just say so.

First class job from start to finish. Rick, Greg and Crew were a pleasure to work with. Team was skilled, prompt, clean and professional. I will use them again as we repaint the whole interior of our home.

Rick provided me a quote for interior painting on my new house. We ended up going with someone else who was less expensive, but I had a very good experience and would call him again. He was very professional and responsive to my needs.

Very well. Rick Orcutt responded right away to my inquiry. We immediately scheduled a time to look at the job. He was extremely professional and clear throughout the process. No surprises whatsoever. The painting crew was equally excellent. Great at explaining the process, great attention to detail and very courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to use Orcutt again, probably without even seeking competitive bids.

This is our third time using Orcutt. We just bought a new house and everything was newly painted but we wanted to change the wall colors, while being careful to keep the wainscoting, moldings, and baseboards intact. From the initial contact to the final day of the project, Rick and his crew had been professional, service-oriented, and easy to work with! They spent a good amount of time doing the preparation, did a refined job painting and fixing defects on the walls, addressed all my concerns, and cleaned up the condo thoroughly after the project was completed. I was very satisfied with their service and the final result. Three months have passed. No new cracks or defects have emerged. Everything looks as if they?d just been freshly painted. I highly recommend Rick and his team for those looking for quality painters, and will hire them again for future projects.

ANOTHER SUPERLATIVE JOB beautifully done by the Orcutt crew!! Always on time, always neat, quiet and clean, they worked tirelessly and skillfully. The job involved large areas and hard to reach places, as well as high, oddly angled ceilings and walls, They are experienced professionals who take pride in their work and really care about the result. Greg heads the team. He is patient, discerning and an absolute pleasure to work with. His ideas and suggestions were invaluable. We so much appreciated his input. Rick arrived promptly at 9am on a Saturday morning. He took his time and provided valuable feedback. The job entailed trim, walls and ceilings for 3 bdrms, dining, family and living room (vaulted ceiling), 1 full bath, hallways and stairway plus 3 closets. I asked Rick if he could expedite his proposal to me since I wanted to make a decision by Sunday morning. I had it in my email Saturday night. Even though I didn't choose Orcutt Painting this time, I would not hesitate at all to call them next time.

Rick Orcutt and his guys (Greg + others) were great! We were moving into a new condo and needed to paint pretty much every surface. Rick sent one of his guys out to the house to look at the job and then promptly sent me a written price proposal. After comparing prices from 4-5 other companies we decided to go with Orcutt. It was not necessarily the cheapest quote, but they were able to get started right away and we valued the other positive reviews here on Angies List. Around the same time frame, we were having our floors refinished and Orcutt was very accommodating of our schedule to be sure the floor guys could start on time. Rick also offered to have his guys come back and touch up and baseboards that might have been nicked by the floor guys. Greg and the painters were very professional and respectful of our new house. They did the work quickly without rushing and the results are great!
