Peterson Plumbing

I got a prompt reply on 10/21/13 saying he was booked up through 11/1/13 and asked if I could wait. I said yes. He replied that he would be in touch. I sent a message through AL on 11/5 asking about when he could come. No reply. I sent another message directly using his website email address on 11/6/13. Still no reply. I thought that for drain cleaning there would be prompt service like with the Roto Rooter type companies. I asked for my money back. Peterson Plumbing did not have the courtesy of just sending me a brief email explaining that he was too busy. So why offer a BIG DEAL for drain cleaning if he's so busy with other work?

Mr. Peterson was great to work with. He fixed our problem quickly and gave us great advice on a couple of unrelated issues throughout our house.

I had a problem with water hammer. It?s a problem with air in the pipes, which creates pressure and causes the pipes to shake violently and make a banging noise. It can be very serious; the pipes can break and flood your house. It took 3 days for him to come back out. He did a patch job; he treated the symptoms instead of the actual problem. I followed his instructions, he told me to get a part. He was supposed to send me links to sites where I could get the part, but never did. I sent him a text message asking him to fit me into his schedule to repair the issue. He sent me a message back saying the pipes weren?t going to burst and if I was losing sleep over it to find a different plumber. This isn?t a trivial matter to me, the way he sloughed off the issue was totally inappropriate. I had a different plumber come out and he fixed the issue in 15 minutes. Rebuttal to his comment: I did not beat on the pipes. I hit the tool with the hammer per his instructions a couple of times and when I realized it wouldn't budge with the hammer I stopped. The reason I couldn't open it was because he used pipe dope on the threads of the water filter instead grease or lubricant. Also, he did charge me $300 for the whole house water filter installation. It was not for free.

He showed up on time and did the job.

Arrived on time with the agreed upon unit, assessed the existing installation and replaced the damaged in ~2hrs. Knew exactly what he was doing, and I got a nice clean installation. The only negative was that he didn't accept the Big Deal coupon, but a refund from Angie's List is on its way.

He was polite, on time, spent time explaining details of leek...offered advice and charges $75 for two hours of his time and energy.

Jake was prompt, very professional and did a great job. Only anticipated a garbage disposal replacement and changing of hose for faucet. However prior plumbing underneath was as he stated "100% wrong"....Without issue he dove into the job and did a fantastic job correcting the plumbing. My only concern was with the bill and it did not necessarily have to do with Peterson Plumbing. I purchased a coupon through Angie's List for $119 for two man hours of plumbing service which was conveyed when i scheduled the service. When I received the bill it was for $200. I had my coupon printed out and I was told I got a better deal through him....When I contacted Angie's List about where my $119 went they informed me I needed to fill out this survey. So in actuality I spent $319 with a receipt for $200. Jake did a fantastic job and was worth every penny yet where did that $119 go? Does Angie's List have it or was Plumbing Co.compensated ? It was an awkward and uncomfortable situation and I felt since I paid Angie's List I would give them the opportunity to explain this yet as I stated before they stated i needed to fill out this review.

He was personable, and timely. Even come out on sunday at no extra charge. He wasn't rushed and looked into all my problems. Very professional.

He was on time. He showed up with the correct toilet that I picked out. He took everything away, very neat and orderly. He charged less than the big box stores. He really knew his stuff. He gave me a quote on my hot water heater. I am considering him for the work. I was really surprised at the price. This was a great price. He guaranteed his work for a year, so if I have a problem, I can call him.

Jake is great. This is the second time I've had him out, and I've been pleased both times. He gets here when he says he will, he gives an estimate, he sticks to it, and he leaves the work area clean. He's the first plumber I've hired myself, so I don't have a wide frame of reference, but his prices seem quite reasonable to me. After checking the hose on the washer, he didn't find any clogs on the ends, but that just meant the problem wasn't what I thought it was. After he left, water started leaking from one of the hose connections. It looked like the threads may have been misaligned. I shut the water off and emailed him. He came back twice, once to try retightening the connection and a second time to replace the hose with a new one when the leak wasn't completely resolved. The new hose even solved my original issue of slow throughput. He didn't charge anything additional for those return visits or the new hose, and I appreciated him sticking with it and being so responsive so we could get our washer back to normal.

I made the call about the leak and he was on site within 3 hrs, same day. He was very courteous, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Value was repaired, start to finish, in about 20 minutes, if that. Fantastic service!

He was quick to respond. He was very polite and professional. The work was done in a timely fashion. He needed to go out for a part and returned quickly. The price was excellent, particularly for an emergency call. We had already called the plumber we've used several times (Wells) and they said they couldn't send anyone. We called another plumber Masi, who is local and they couldn't send anyone until the end of the week, even when I told them that we did not have any water because we had to shut off the main valve. We are very happy with this plumber.

Jake was awesome! My toilet started leaking at the beginning of the week. I had called a plumber that I had used several times in the past who was to come out on 7/17. That plumber never called or showed. I called Peterson plumbing the next day 7/18 leaving a voice mail. Within 10 minutes Jake called back and agreed to come out Friday as I was having guests arrive late that evening. He called before arriving, assessed the problem and provided me with a very reasonable price for what he thought was the problem. I liked that he gave me the price before starting work and advised that if it was more than what he thought was wrong, what the price difference would be. He fixed it promptly, made sure I was satisfied and was on his way. Jake was very pleasant and professional. I will definitely be calling Peterson plumbing for any future needs.

Peterson Plumbing was very prompt, I called them at 8 am and they were at my home by 9:30 am. They quickly diagnosed the problem and were able to tell me exactly what was wrong, what was needed to make the repair and approximately how much it would cost, asking if I wanted to go ahead and fix it before going any further. In our case, the pressure balancing cartridge need to be replaced, and we asked if the newer handle we had put on because the washer had broken in the older (original) could be replaced with the original. Within half an hour, they picked up the part and had it installed quickly and correctly, also swapping out the handle as we had requested. We would definitely recommend and use them again.

He spent 3 hours and everything went well. We had a small leak, but he came back and corrected the problem.

Peterson's responded promptly to my call for help, provided a verbal quote, and scheduled the service for later the same day, all in one short phone call. Then, he showed up on time with the new water heater!!! I had drained the old water heater and he went directly into the job of disconnecting the old water heater, installing the new heater, testing its function, and removing the old heater. The work required between two and three hours. I really like to know a lot about any service and repairs in our home and throughout the process he was very open in answering questions and explaining procedures. My wife and I had some questions about "elective" projects involving bathrooms and he provided very helpful advice about how to approach a project involving several trades and multiple fixtures. We will definitely call Peterson's again when we need a plumber.

My experience with Jake was great. He is very professional, shows up on time and gets the job done. His quote was also lower than others I had received. I hope to have Jake look after all our future plumbing needs.

He showed up on time for both appointments. 1st one ended without any work done but not his fault. turned out I had to get access to the main shut off for the group of town houses i'm in (it was located in another unit) there was no way to turn off the water in my unit...since it was the shut off valves I was replacing. he did not charge for that appointment and was very accommodating in rescheduling. he did not make a mess and what little mess there was he cleaned up after. he was polite and professional. I would use him again any time and recommend him if ever asked.

Jake was flexible in arranging a visit to my home and arrived the next day following my initial call. His first task was a simple one, just to re-pipe the PVC trap under a bathroom sink to align with a new bowl and drain that I had installed. The second job and primary reason for my call was that my AO Smith gas water heater was leaking from the pressure relief valve at the connection to the water tank itself. Jake tried to install a new pressure relief valve but found the threads to be rusted out. What i liked was that Jake seemed like he just wanted to find the best solution be it a new water heater or just installing the pressure relief valve. He did not try to overly sell one or the other. After determining that the tank had to be replaced he allowed me some time to think about it which is good that it was not a high pressure sales. I called him back ~3 hours later and knowing that I was without hot water he scheduled me for that evening. This was impressive as many plumbers would have just said i will come back tomorrow and leave us high and dry (pun intended.) The water heater was a power vent type so more was involved than the usual water heater. He picked up the new Bradford White water heater, arrived at our house and finished the work about 9PM. And although I am sure he was extremely tired from a long day he remained professional and courteous. The water heater has worked well with no issues since. We did have one small issue where the drain on the bathroom sink that he installed leaked just a little. You could tell that it was off center which was the reason for the leak. Jake quickly scheduled to come back and fix this and he did so. He also had noticed when he was installing the water heater that our line pressure was high so he even checked the external line pressure and adjusted it down while he was back to address the leak at no charge! Great professional service at a reasonable price! And a person that stands by their work! I would definitely use Jake again in the future.

Excellent! He came last week to give me an estimate. Today he did the work. He was punctual, cleaned up when he was done, had a fair price, and did an excellent job. If I ever need a plumber again I will call him.
