American Gutter Cleaning

What I really loved about them is that they re so fast and clean in doing the work that you are excited to use their services again. They are very competent and hardworking people. When I called, they came right away.

American Gutter Cleaning has been wonderful. I can depend on them to come and stay on schedule. I really like them and they to a terrific job cleaning up when they are finished. I would recommend their service.

This company is okay. They leave me a slip in my mailbox when they have been here. It's so convenient. They keep my gutters clean. I never see them. I have used them for several years, but recently I have noticed that my house gutters generally do not need cleaning as they do not collect leaves. No one from the company told me this, even after several visits. On the other hand, my garage gutters definitely need cleaning, since a tree sits right overhead and they tend to clog. Unfortunately, American Gutter Cleaning has forgotten to clean the garage gutter in two of their last four visits. I needed to call them both times and ended up paying more.

We called American Gutters based on recommendation from friend. When we called for initial estimate and appointment dealt with a real person (and not answering machine) who was very friendly and immediately gave estimate based on length of gutters. Came a few days earlier than originally scheduled and called ahead to let us know. Did the work quickly and efficiently, took all debris with them, and cleaned up after themselves very well. Sent us an invoice which was nice. Checked for rot in wood and let us know there was none. Follow up call to verify work was done to our satisfaction. Did not try to sell us any additional services on the spot.

We called the company to get on their schedule. Their process is that they will call the day before to let you know that they are able to come by. So, we got a call from them on a Tuesday and they said they would show up before 4pm on Wednesday. They ended up arriving at around 10am on Wednesday. While they were very quick, thorough and professional, it would be nice to plan a little bit more in advance schedule-wise to ensure there is someone to meet them.

The gutters were cleaned satisfactorily at that visit. It was recommended that we have the gutters re-nailed and 80 feet of drip edge installed and a price was provided. We called them this month (April of 2007) to schedule this work as well as an additional cleaning and we accepted the terms and faxed the copy to the company on April 9 2007. I called the office today to see when they would be here and was told within the week. They could not provide an exact day/time due to weather. This was understandable but I requested someone call us before they come as we have many other projects that could be impacted by their presence (installation of exterior door as well as house painting). She said this is not their policy. I said I would have to insist on a call. She again said no. We told her to cancel the order and she abruptly said we were canceled. The customer service is non existent. We will use someone else! Estimate was for $120.00.

I called they told me they could do it the week of 11/27/06, no one needed to be home just leave on outside water, and they would leave debris in a bag for me to dispose of. I came home on the 27th found bag of leaves and a bill for $75. Just like they quoted over the phone.

Very fast and efficient. They did a good job.

American Gutter Cleaning has cleaned our gutters every year for the past few years. They are prompt and polite, you hardly know they are there. Every year they give a call to schedule the next cleaning, which is helpful to those of us who are prone to forget these things until the snow has already flown!

After sending in my deposit of $225, just two days later I received a call that a crew would be arriving on Monday morning. The crew that conducted the work cleaned the property thoroughly and also left pieces of downspouts in the event I want to extend the spouts further from the house. When the porch gutters were replaced a crew member informed me that some of the wood was rotted and needed to be replaced, work which was performed at an additional price. I would hire this company again to perform the work. I'm waiting to find out the final price.

THEY HAVE BEEN VERY PROFESSIONAL OVER THE PHONE. THEY GIVE YOU A SCHEDULED BLOCK, AND THEY SHOW UP SOMETIME IN THAT BLOCK. SINCE WE DON'T HAVE TO BE THERE FOR THEM TO DO IT, THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH HAVING TO WAIT.

In the process, they ripped off a lot of paint, left a mess all over driveway, and threw out irreplaceable brackets original to the house. It took several phone calls to negotiate the price down after making them realize they did irreparable damage. I would avoid the firm at all costs.

THE PRICE AND QUALITY WERE GREAT. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND I LIKED THE IDEA THAT I DID NOT HAVE TO BE HOME WHEN THEY CLEANED THE GUTTERS.

I am very happy with these folks and recommend them highly. I have used this service for years. Their price is always the best and their reliability is exceptional. They call during the spring and the fall to remind me that it is getting to be time and they always keep the appointment, even when it is set up months in advance (well organized.) One year we were switching away, the other service failed to perform and American Gutter stepped into the breach and got to me very rapidly to do the job before things froze. They do not need you home for the service, as long as they can get all the gutters and your water is on. They clean up well. I never have messy debris left all over the lawn. They do leave the debrise behind in a trash bag but my town always takes it with the trash.

WE HAVE USED THEM EVERY FALL FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS AND HAVE BEEN HAPPY. THEY ARE FAST, PROMPT AND NEVER LEAVE A MESS.

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY TOTALLY DECEIVED ME ABOUT THEIR ESTIMATE.

SELECTED AGC AFTER COMPARISON SHOPPING FOR BIDS AND LOOKING AT REFERENCES ON ANGIE'S LIST. THE COMPANY WAS RESPONSIVE IN RETURNING CALLS, AND MET A COMPETITOR'S PRICE (MY COST WAS ABOUT $5/LINEAR FT., FOR HIGH-QUALITY ALUMINUM SEAMLESS). WORKERS SHOWED UP ON TIME, AND WORKED CAREFULLY DURING THE DAY. ALSO MADE SOME MINOR REPAIRS TO FLASHING AND RE-ATTACHED CONDUIT RUNNING TO SECOND FLOOR AT MY REQUEST. I WAS PLEASED BOTH WITH THE WORKERS, AND WITH THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE JOB. HAD TWO MINOR CONCERNS, WHICH WERE HANDLED WITH A FOLLOWUP-CALL PRIOR TO MAKING FINAL PAYMENT. WORKERS RETURNED IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS AFTER THE INITIAL INSTALLATION, AND CORRECTLY FIXED THE ISSUES. ONLY SIGNIFICANT COMPLAINT WAS REGARDING CLEAN-UP OF NAILS AFTER THE JOB. THE OVERALL CLEANUP WAS GOOD, BUT I FOUND APPROXIMATELY 30 NAILS IN THE LAWN, DRIVEWAY AND MY NEIGHBOR'S DRIVEWAY AFTER THEY LEFT. A METAL DETECTOR MIGHT HAVE HELPED PREVENT THIS HAZARD. OVERALL, VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK.

THEY WERE RESPONSIVE & THEY WERE TIMELY. THEY HAD GOOD SUGGESTIONS AND KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED DONE. THEY DID REPLACE THE FASCIA BOARD. THE TWO GENTLEMEN THAT WERE HERE WERE NEAT AND CLEAN, AND CAREFUL WITH MY LANDSCAPING. OVERALL THIS WAS A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THERE WAS A MINOR GLITCH AND THEY PUT THE DOWNSPOUT IN THE WRONG PLACE, BUT THEY CORRECTED THAT WITH NO PROBLEMS

I ASKED THEM TO COME IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. I WAS CONTINUALLY PUT OFF AND IT TOOK THREE TIMES LONGER THAN I WAS TOLD IT WOULD. EVENTUALLY THEY DID COME, AND AT THE TIME I THOUGH THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. HOWEVER, I RECENTLY TOOK A LOOK IN MY GUTTERS. THEY NOT ONLY CLEANED THEM, BUT THEY ALSO UNINSTALLED GUTTER PROTECTORS I HAD IN THE LOWER GUTTERS. THE TYPE OF THINGS TO PROTECT FROM GARBAGE ACCUMULATING IN THEM, SO THEY DON'T NEED TO BE CLEANED SO OFTEN. I'M FURIOUS. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, THEY ACTUALLY DAMAGED MY GUTTERS IN THE PROCESS, WITHOUT EVER SAYING A WORD TO ME ABOUT IT. I WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN, AND NOW I HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN PUT NEW GUTTER PROTECTORS IN. THE MONEY I SAVED BY USING THEM, WILL BE NOTHING COMPARED TO HOW MUCH IT WILL COST TO FIX WHAT THEY MESSED UP.

THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY OFFER A GREAT PRICE AND GOOD CRAFTSMANSHIP.

GREAT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH, VERY ORGANIZED AND RESPONSIVE.

INSTALLERS WERE PRETTY PROFESSIONAL AND PART OF THE GUTTER THAT WAS INSTALLED WAS INSTALLED ADEQUATELY, BUT THE PERSON WHO RUNS THE OFFICE IS INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH TO RESOLVE AN OUTSTANDING ISSUE. WHEN THE ESTIMATE WAS DONE, THE MEASUREMENTS WERE TAKEN INCORRECTLY; THEY FAILED TO INCLUDE THE WHOLE PORTION OF THE HOUSE IN THE ESTIMATE. THEY DIDN'T INSTALL GUTTERS ON ONE WHOLE SIDE OF MY HOUSE BECAUSE OF A CLAIMED WIRE INTERFERENCE AND BECAUSE IT WASN'T IN THE ESTIMATE. WHEN I CALLED, I WAS TOLD IT WAS MY PROBLEM, BECAUSE I SIGNED OFF ON AN INCORRECT ESTIMATE. VERY HOSTILE AND NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY UNAPOLOGETIC FOR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY, I WAS REFUSED.

THEY DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, BUT JUST APPEAR TO CLEAN YOUR GUTTERS. THIS IS GOOD BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED TO BE HOME, ETC. HOWEVER, I EXPECTED THEM TO COME SOONER THAN THEY DID.

I DIDN'T HAVE TO BE HOME WHILE THE SERVICE WAS DONE, WHICH I FOUND VERY CONVENIENT. SINCE I CAN'T SEE IN MY GUTTERS TO KNOW IF THEY'RE CLEAN, I APPRECIATED HAVING THE SMALL BAG OF DEBRIS THEY LEFT ME IN ADDITION TO THE BILL LEFT IN MY DOOR AS PROOF OF THE SERVICE. ALSO, THEY SENT ME A REFRESHINGLY COURTEOUS PAYMENT REMINDER WHEN I FORGOT TO SEND IN MY CHECK OVER THE HOLIDAYS. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE OVERALL.

THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND RESPONDED PROMPTLY. FAILED TO HOOK UP ONE DOWNSPOUT.
