J & T Tree Care

Everything went pretty much ok. My only complaint was the truck ran over and broke one of my automatic sprinklers. Josh offered to pay for it and said he would come by in a few days to take care of it. That was 5 months ago and I'm still waiting. Update Josh did finally contact me and did come by with a check to take care of the broken sprinkler. Ten months later, but he did take care of it.

I heartily recommend them. Josh was very nice to work with, very professional and his crew did an excellent job. I was not able to be in town for the estimate, but he showed what needed to be done to my family and explained it again to me over the phone. We have not had any tree work done in many years and had some damage from the last hurricane, a couple dead trees. We also had very big limbs overhanging the house. In addition, we had recently had excavation work that had damaged the root system for a very tall evergreen tree that was close to the house. He looked at the trees we had concerns with. He made the recommendation that we remove more trees and that it was a much better buy to have a whole day of work done. He said that we really needed 2 full days of work, although the second day could wait. I explained my concern with killing trees we didn't need to and he shared that concern and explained that several of the trees were too close to the house and there were others that weren't in good shape. After researching tree work prices, the estimate was certainly reasonable. He was very busy and it did take some time to schedule the visit. I asked for a specific week when I would be able to be home and he accommodated that week. His team arrived right on time. They were extremely professional. The area was tight with lots of trees and bushes. Josh explained what branches would have to be cut from trees that were going to stay, and what damage would be done to the yard and bushes by their equipment. He did attempt to minimize this. They worked a very full day. Some of the work involved cutting trees very close to the house and the power/phone lines and they ensured there was no damage. As requested, they left some wood and even cut up some of it into the right length. They also did a good clean up and arranged for someone to pick up the very huge logs. Josh was honest, forthright, conscientious, very knowledgeable, extremely competent and had an outstanding, professional crew. Anyway, I was very pleased and will use them again for additional work.

Very well, J&T had removed these trees several weeks ago and I was talking with Josh (the owner) and did not know that they performed stump grinding as well. We agreed on a price and Josh said he would reach out to me in a couple of weeks to schedule. Josh called me last week and we had the serviced preformed yesterday, he did a great job. You would never know that these trees ever existed.

Excellent cleanup too. They will be coming back to remove the stumps too, will keep you posted.

There was a little delay in getting the crane , but they called and let me know that they would be late. The crew did an excellent job removing the tree and cleaned everything up.

Good service, would use again.

The job was the removal of two pretty large trees that were both in bad shape. One was half dead with rotted limbs as much as 8 inches thick. The other was storm damaged with a vertical split about 40 feet long. Both were close enough to the neighbors to cause trouble if they weren't removed properly. Josh came out a day or so after I called J&T to give an estimate. (in April) He noted how wet and soft the yard was and told me that we would have to wait till it was dry before doing this work. Fast forward to June - when things should be dry and we get 8 inches of rain. Fast forward to July and the place is nearly dried out - but thunderstorms are forecast so Josh of J&T asked if he could get in and do the work the next day. The next day at 7:35 in the rolled. The truck did make some marks in the yard - which is as well as could be expected since I didn't want to wait any longer to get the work done. They did put plywood down under the heavier chip hauling truck. J&T cleaned all of the branches and twigs so that I can now mow the grass that was covered by a downed branch for the last few months.

We contacted Josh from J&T Tree Care in May for an estimate. He quickly set up a time to come and take a look at the tree. I loved the fact that he was willing to come when I was available and didn't just drop an estimate in my door or send it by e-mail. I was able to get all my questions asked without back and forth phone calls and e-mails. Love the personal service!! Another big plus is that he was local and we could support a local business. We actually received a lower bid, but the personal service that Josh provided swayed us to trust him above all other companies we received estimates from. After we told Josh we accepted his bid, he informed us his schedule was busy for May and he could fit us in during the first 2 weeks of June. That was fine with us as our schedules were busy as well, and it also gave us time to inform our neighbors that their driveway would be needed for the tree removal. So, finally the day came! Josh and his crew arrived promptly around 8AM, just like he said they would. They didn't mess around, they got the crane, chipper and load truck set up and away they went! It was so fascinating to watch the tree climber choose his next branch carefully, hook it up to the crane straps and start the chain saw! Meanwhile, as each large branch section was lowered, the ground crew made quick work of it...chipping and cleaning up as they went. By the time the tree was completely down, they had quite a few massive logs set aside for the log truck. They quickly cleaned the area using rakes and blowers. When the equipment was gone you couldn't even tell they had been there except for some sawdust around the tree stump itself and the logs waiting to be picked up by the log truck. Another great thing is while they were setting up, our neighbor approached Josh and asked if he could also take down a pine tree in her front yard. So, as soon as Josh was done with ours, his crew went right over and took her's down too! I can't say enough great things about his service! Thanks Josh!!

We had used Josh previously and called on the day of the windstorm because we were basically unable to get in or out of the house and driveway because of the very large downed tree. It was a day of widespread damage in our general area so I was not certain when we would be able to get help. He responded quickly by phone and by the afternoon he came and removed the driveway obstructions as well as bringing a heavy timber to help support the front porch roof until house repair could replace a column which had been knocked out by the tree. Two days later he arrived early with the necessary equipment and crew and sawed up and removed the tree (which had a 5 ft base diameter) leaving an amazingly clean worksite. He also sawed the large portions for firewood for us. There had been no snow at the first storm but within a week or so there was a second storm that featured very wet and heavy snow in large amounts that knocked down or cracked the about 1/3 to 1/2 the limbs of another large maple in the yard. This did not obstruct or threaten immediate problems for us or the neighbor so we were able to give Josh time to try to keep up with all the bigger problems with tree damage in SE Mass. A few weeks he came by with crew and equipment and again did a fine and clean job. About a month or so later he brush cut the field filled with multiflora rose and saplings. Josh is a pleasure to work with, returns calls promptly, lets you know when he is coming and cleans up the debris as if it was his home. We will most certainly use him in the future.

I?m always amazed at the capabilities of J&T Tree Care. Although Josh has removed several trees for me, he provides a host of other services. I needed to have some overgrown bittersweet along one side of my property removed. Josh told me he expands lawn and has the equipment that can grind out the bittersweet. His crew came and the lawn expansion machine ground out a few decades of growth in less than an hour. I gained back over 10 feet of new lawn the length of my property in minutes which would have taken me all summer to remove by hand. After Josh finished the job, he informed me that he can bring in soil so I can seed that section of my lawn. Again, Josh provides more than just tree removal services.

J & T Tree Care came to my house ad his team went right to work removing my tree and my neighbors. His crew raked the lawn, and performed some light tree branch trimming that made the place look new. Josh is very attentive to detail and responds within an hour to an Angie?s list request. He arrives when he says he will and his crew is very polite and thorough. He always leaves your property looking better than before. The crane service was positioned in my driveway, but the lifts that stabilize it never damaged my driveway or lawn. I was very pleased he used the right equipment for the job.

They came out when they said they would. The workers were very professional. All the work was completed just as we were told it would be. They even racked up the leaves they dropped and used a blower to pick up the saw dust. We are very pleased with this company, from the moment Josh (the owner) came out to look at the work to be done, to completion of the job. This is a top notch company. We highly recommend them and would use them again the the future.

I was in a bit of a bit of a bind time-wise, and Josh was able to get the job done quickly for me. He did the work on a Sunday, which was appreciated. Josh was very communicative - he told us exactly when he'd be at the house, and arrived as scheduled. The work was done quickly and professionally. I would absoutely use J&T Tree again, and would recommend them to family and friends. I checked 'N/A' on price becasue I didn't get any other estimates. Though I trust that I got a fair price.

Great job & fast WOW! Other than 1 worker ripping a hunk of tree & walking it thru my garden destroying a few lilles, I have no complaints=these guys know trees :-)

He was very nice and gave us his estimate orally. We did not receive anything in writing.

Everything went well, and the gentleman provided very helpful information. Furthermore, he was very responsive and showed up right on time.

I would give this company an A+ rating for their services. When contacting J & T less than one week ago, the owner, Josh, returned my call and scheduled to inspect the damages that same day. He was very professional and his price was very fair. Today was the day that I received the call that they were in route to perform the services. They were very prompt and completed the job in no time.

They arrived within an hour of calling them following an emergency where a tree fell on my house during a blizzard. They came back to cut and remove tree that was on my powerlines and they removed several other trees that were a danger to my property. They were responsive, thorough and very reliable and offered a fair deal on the job.

J & T Tree Care arrived on time with a crew who were very courteous and well trained. They quickly got to work and had the entire job done in about an hour. They cleaned up after themselves and made the site look better than how they found it. The tree and large branch were taken out without them ever touching the ground. In all, I?m very pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, and safety shown by Josh and his J&T Tree Care crew.

Josh Nickerson, company owner, & his team were professional in how they dealt with the customer, performed the work as agreed upon and did a great job in clearing up the job site when done. They experienced some equipment problems but immediately resolved the problem in order to complete the job. Josh was also great in keeping us up to date on the timeline as we had discussed. I would recommend J&T tree company without reservation.

The morning they came they called first. They arrived with a great crew and a HUGE crane. They had one tree already cut down before I could get back to the yard from moving my truck out of their way! FAST! The walnut tree which had to be 100 feet was lifted over the house along with about 5 birches. They crew was respectful of all of our surrounding plants, fences and patios we had just had put in as well as the newly sealed driveway. In less than 2 1/2 hours they cleared 7 trees out, chipped them and cleaned up our yard beautifully. Josh went the extra mile and saved the main trunk of our walnut which he placed along the far edge of the property and offered to come back later in the day and cut it into manageable pieces so we can split it and burn it next year in our wood stove. He called later in the day to let me know he was on his way. The entire crew worked smoothly and efficiently and Josh was great to work with. We will be using his services in the future. Thanks!

He called the night before said he would be here first thing in the morning. he was here in the morning and made fast work cutting all the branches over hanging my yard. very pleasant to deal with and they cleaned up after they were done.Good job.

Josh was very helpful and patient in examining the work to be done and made useful suggestions on his initial visit to the site. He always called thereafter before he came or if the bizarre winter weather made delays necessary because lack of frozen ground prevented his use of the necessary heavy equipment on the job. Because of the amount of work and the unusual weather he had to return 3 or 4 times but he always came when he said and stayed with the job until it was finished. My wife just smiles when she looks out on the field now and today a neighbor who stopped by for another reason made a point of saying how good the field and yard looked. We will certainly use him again as the need arises.

Everything went very well and they cleaned up the mess after they were done. They were also friendly.
