J & T Tree Care

This company was too busy to help us. We were told we would have a quote in 24 to 48 hours at most it took over a week to get anything.

J&T determined that the tree on my property was not currently at risk so there was no reason to contract J&T at this time. The tree on my neighbor's property does require work. I passed this information on to my neighbor. It's now up to my neighbor to decide if they will contract J&T.

He was professional and it was obvious he took pride in his work. They left the yard cleaner than when they found it. I plan on using them again in a few months.

We needed to have this extremely large silver maple tree removed because it was showing signs of significant decline as well as insect damage. Additionally, we were having a new, larger yard shed being delivered within a month and needed to clear additional space for the larger building.. Josh (the company owner) told us he should be able do the job well before the shed was due to be delivered and with exception of a one week delay (due to a death in the family of one of his key crew members - totally understandable!), he came through on his word. We had received quotes from 5 companies, both large and small, with 3 of those companies quoting lower than J & T. We ultimately decided to go with J & T because of the measures they would take to assure the safety of our home and property and also the safety of their crew members. The one difference between J & T and the other companies we had consulted, was that when they cut a tree limb, they use a crane to lower the limb to the ground vs. just cutting it and letting it drop, thus causing a lot of deep gouges and ruts in the surrounding soil. Also, when considering that this giant tree was only about 25 feet away from the house and 1/4 of the tree limbs hung precariously over the house, the use of the crane provided us with great assurance that no damage would occur to our home or property. Josh also took great care to avoid heavy equipment being placed on or near the septic system and leach field. My husband was home the entire day of the take-down, and he was very impressed (and had a bit of boyish-fascination) with the skill and precision demonstrated by the arborists doing the cutting, and especially the crane operator. He was also very happy with how the entire crew worked together, like a well-oiled machine, running the operation efficiently and with great safety in mind. When the job was done, there were a few minor tire ruts in the lawn, but nothing that couldn't easily be re-leveled....most importantly, no damage was done to the house or septic system, and they did a great job cleaning everything up afterwards. As Josh had assured us, all the larger limbs (10-20+ft. long, 2 ft. in diameter, about 25-30 of them) were picked up and hauled away within a few days of job completion. Josh and his crew did an incredible job, start to finish, on this behemoth tree! Considering the time and the amount of work that had to be done to remove this tree, the price was more than fair. The entire crew were very professional, courteous and respectful throughout the entire day-and-a-half process. As a Horticultural professional myself, I would highly recommend J & T Tree Care for any and all tree care and/or removal needs.

We contacted a couple of contractors and J&T was right in the middle. He said he had a number of jobs lined up because of the severe winter and we responded that we were in no hurry, just give a few days notice. We also told him we wanted the stump ground to below the surface and he said they normally cut it so close to the ground it is not normally needed. If we still thought we needed it, he would come back later and do it. So he quoted seperately a price for the take down and stump grinding. Weeks passed and my wife called him to check that he didn't forget about us. He called back and said he still was backed up but we were on his list. Another three weeks passed and he called and said they would be there in two days. Sure enough, promptly at 8AM he showed up on the promised date with his crew, with more people than I had expected. They took the tree down by climbing it, trimmimg of the branches on the way up and finally cut the top off.Then as he climbed down a section would be lopped off. All the while my grandchildren enjoyed the show and all this took less than an hour, including a clean up that would have made you believe there was never a tree there. I paid for the tree being taken down and said they would come back for the stump. They were right, there was less then 1 inch showing but I still wanted it ground below the surface. Again, several weeks went by then one day they came by when my wife was home and finished the grind They did an excellent job and worth the wait. I am planning on removing some large pines at some point in the future and I know who I'll contact first.

Josh was great. We had a delay due to dangerous weather but his crew was here the next day to do the job. Everyone was polite and very efficient.

It was excellent. They were a little bit cheaper in price than the other people.

We scheduled the work, but several delays made me wonder if it would happen. At a later point in time, Josh called to say he could schedule and complete the work. Once this happened, Josh did what he said what he would do. They left no debris, and came to collect the tree trunk on the day he said he would.

Contacted J&T Tree Care through Angie's List and received prompt contact from Josh who was very personable and easy to work with. He made special arrangements to come by and assess while I was around (difficult with my schedule). He and his team arrived on time for the removal and knocked the job out in an hour from start to finish. They were very efficient and organized, took care to consider the impact of their equipment on my lawn and did a very thorough job with the cleanup. I didn't price them out but believe I received a fair price for work performed - I would use them again and recommend to others.

Josh quoted me the price to cut down the tree and scheduled the job for the following Sunday. The crew showed up on time and in a couple of hours the tree was down, yard was cleaned and the job was done. What more can you ask for? Would definitely hire J & T again.

I run a business that is open 7 days a week and has customers come in and out all day long. J&T Tree service came in on time and did an excellent job not just cutting down the trees but also coordinating their activities such that there would be no interruption in my business. Josh and his crew did outstanding job and I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

They showed up when they said they would.and removed five trees in various location of the property. Very pleased with the work. Will only hire them in the future.

Josh did a great job communicating and keeping me up to date on the schedule. The work required a crane and a lot of coordination and everything went off without a hitch. His crew was efficient and they removed all trees on time and on budget and did a nice job cleaning up afterwards. I could not have been more pleased. In this day and age it is a treat to find a business that does what they say they are going to do, and does it well. Bravo.

Unfortunately, addition to tree removal services, we also needed several trees pruned (very large, tall holly bushes that grew into trees over time). This provider indicated that he only performed tree removal services, and that the additional work needed to be performed by a landscaper. Since we wanted to work with only one vendor, we chose to have the work performed by someone else.

We used J & T Tree service last year to cut down about 6 trees. We were so pleased with their work, when we decided to have tree stumps grounded down, we called them again. Josh called us right back the same day we left him a message. He came out that week, looked at the 7 tree stumps we wanted to have grounded down, and gave us a quote. He came out the next week and grounded down the stumps. He did an excellent job. We would use his services again if needed.

Josh and his crew came in and scraped the sand and rocks that were on the uneven part of the property, leveled the land, which was full of rocks, roots, and a stump, and contoured the property to look like a landscaper came in manicured the lawn. Josh took care of every detail. He had the loam delivered and he and his crew spread it perfectly. With a little starter fertilizer and grass seed, I now have the beginnings of a lawn that I?ve wanted for years. J&T Tree Care is easy to work with and shows up on time and gets the job done quickly.

I contracted J&T Tree Care to remove two pine trees, one large difficult tree and one tall one, which were not looking very good and threatened to come down on my neighbor?s property. These trees were nestled behind one of my sheds in a location that wasn't easily accessible to a crane or bucket truck. The crew arrived on time and got to work. They removed the two trees, never once touching my shed. They even trimmed some other branches to clean up the area. I wanted Josh and his crew to take this on because they've removed three other trees and demonstrated a high degree of professionalism, is well organized, cleans up during the process and after, and generally provides an excellent service for a reasonable price. Moreover, Josh is a tree guy who knows tree removal and doesn't do this just a side line business - This is his business.

The tree was a danger and we needed it out of there asap, the timing just did not work out to use J & T, if another problem comes up, I would not hesitate to call them

Josh returned calls and showed up for appointments on time. His estimate was competitive with all bids received. Both he and his crew were polite, courteous, and considerate. A large crane was brought in to lift the trees away from the house. All branches and trunks were chipped on site. Clean up was well done. The work was done in about 4 hours. We could not be more satisfied with the work. I would not hesitate to hire J&T Tree Care for future work and recommend them to both friends and family.

I had used J&T before and had an excellent experience with them. They had removed several trees last summer. When I installed a new shed this week, I had to reconfigure the ramp to to elevation differences. Unfortunately, there was a very, very large stump in the way of the new ramp. Never planned on grinding it before. I called Josh to see if he could come out to grind it. He was out the very next day and the stump was gone less than 24 hrs after I called. They also spread the saw dust around for me in that area. I highly recommend Josh and his company for your tree removal services. His team is very good at what they do. They clean up debris very well, are always prompt and extremely easy to work with.

Did a great job & will be calling Josh again in a few weeks for a couple more trees. He is very knowledgeable about the trees, etc.

Josh came and provided a very reasonable quote for contouring my front lawn and removing the soil. When we came I asked him to do more than what he quoted and he added the extra work for practically no up charge. His staff is very professional and they clean up after themselves. I've used J&T Tree Care for tree removal, lawn expansion, and now rough landscaping. I'm always impressed at the professionalism and affordability of this company.
