I called Bogen and described the work, which was not a big job or big money-maker for an electrician. Nevertheless, Ben agreed to do the work at the last minute. He took time from his busy schedule and even traveled a considerable distance to help us out, He was very professional, courteous, and just a nice guy. He performed the work quickly and even took a look at other electrical issues which had been concerning me. I will DEFINITELY call Ben to have any electrical work done in the future,

2 men came (the electrician and an electrical apprentice.) They replaced a ceiling light fixture and secured some drooping wires in my cellar ceiling. They were at my house for under an hour. I was told they would replace the transformer for my doorbell, but they didn't have one in the truck. He told me to buy one, and he would return next week to replace it. I bought 2 (not sure of which voltage was needed.) However, I never heard from him again. The work they did was fine. I was just disappointed that they never returned to finish what they promised.

Ben came up and I could tell right off the bat that he knew his trade and that he would be my choice of contractors. I was planning on getting 3 site estimates but I already had a phone call estimate and Ben was right on target with the extra work he would need to do to get the job done and up to code. He told me the height of entry of incoming home wires had to be 11 ft and mine was not...and also that I would need an outside breaker to be in code. He immediately went to the town office and came back in 15 minutes with answers...This impressed me and I said that he should proceed and do the job. Ben and his partner Minor came in about one and half weeks, as I was most anxious to get my upgrade done before I went to a new house insurer. Ben was able to make this happen. These guys are very good at what they do...Minor can weave a wicked wire in the dark with little light. As a team they cant be beat and get the job in record time. When they come they dont go home till finished. These guys are no nine to fivers. When done they clean up and go through everything with you including marking the new breakers as to what they shut off. I would use this company again as they are top notch.

We purchased this as part of a deal off of Angie's list for 2 hours of service to help with a number of small projects that had piled up around the house. We found Mr Brogen and his assistant to be prompt, efficient, and courteous. He went over and above what he needed to do at each step. We had a number of minor electrical fixing needs and wanted an estimate on a larger project. He provided explanations of what he was doing, and charged a fair price for the additional components that weren't covered by the Angie's list deal.

We are very pleased with the work done in our home by Bogen Electric. Right from the first phone call to the completion of the work the experience was excellent. Ben was friendly, professional, honest and left everything neat and clean! We would highly recommend and we will use Bogen Electric again! Thank You!

I contacted Bogen electric for a second estimate to install the electrical connections for a new hot tub. Ben pointed out some risks, which had been pointed out by the company that did the first estimate, but the way he reasoned through it and came up with what he thought was the best solution gave me a lot of confidence he was going to do a good job. Then, his estimate came in almost $1000 less than the first company! The work was done quickly and with out any incidents. I was completely satisfied and would definitely recommend and use Bogen electric again.

They didn't exactly charge me for all their time. It sounds like I was charges a lot for 2 switches, but they were here a long time. I have a 100 year old home, and it took longer because they had to work through horse hair walls and ceilings, and it is a difficult job. I thought their prices were fair. I found them on Angie's List, and I would use them again.

I reached Ben the first time I called, but he was enroute to a job, so he contacted me later that afternoon. We then talked about my work proposal and set up a consultation visit the next day. He arrived as promised and was very honest about the work that needed to be done and the length of time he would need to complete the job. He mentioned there was a new, less expensive option available at that point, but I had already purchased the switch and all the accessories. He made quite a few really good suggestions and pointed out other issues he discovered. I agreed to have him do the work and he was available the following week. Ben arrived as promised, completed the work as scheduled and it all looks and works great. He took the time to make sure that my wife and I knew how to properly use the switch and how to safely think about this temporary power option. He wiped his feet every time he entered my home, he cleaned up after himself as he worked through the project and he respected our property as if it were his own. He even helped me relocate a heavy piece of furniture up one flight of stairs, which made the wife extremely happy! I will definitely contact him again for future projects and pray that he's available. His fee was consistent with the quotes I received from the electricians that work at my place of employment, so it all went well.

Ben was very responsive from the beginning, from the first phone call to him coming out for the estimate, emailing me the estimate when he said he would. 2 days after I had approved the work he was here when he said he would be. Ben & Matt worked through the day, pausing only for coffee and lunch which I provided for them only because I was so impressed with their friendliness and professionalism. They got everything done they said they would, including a few things we threw at them last minute, they were very gracious and took care of it for us. If you are in need of an electrician to do the job right, pull no punches and treat your home as if it were their own home, call Ben, I couldn't recommend them more strongly.

We had a punch list of electrical stuff from a home inspection that we wanted to have an electrician review and estimate. We were under a tight deadline where we wouldn't be able to get an electrician to visit the house. So Ben was able to do a ballpark estimate over the phone on a bunch of different issues that appeared in the report. He had alot of good ideas to think about concerning the issues we were facing and was talking about various ways we could do things (ie generator options) without having to spend a ton of money. I asked on his availability and he said he usually can be out on a job site within a 2 week time frame. I will definitely use him after we settle on the house.

Originally I had scheduled them for another job, but they had to postpone the work for a week due to a scheduling foul up. Since I'm having a lot of electrical upgrades done, and another electrician was able to do the original job two days later (instead of more than a week), I changed the scope of the project. The men were helpful and professional, and helped me to decide exactly how to place the outlet. The decision made was a good one! The receptacles are very tight, and I do hope they will loosen a bit, as it is awfully hard to plug and unplug some of my small appliances. They cleaned up, but left streaks of plaster on the counter. On the other hand, I'm just as happy doing the clean up; somehow paying electrician rates to have the counters wiped down doesn't make sense to me. I may call them again, but think the other electrician was a better choice for my needs.

It was a very good experience. They were nice and available when needed. I would use them again. He was also professional, prompt, and effecient. I would recommend their services to anyone.

I used an Angie's List $99 special but had them do a few other projects. They were very good and showed me some things which were not up to code so we got those done. They were quick; I told them where I wanted the plugs and they knew what to do. The workers were very clean, prompt and I will use them again in the future.

We had a big deal coupon for electrical services from Angies list. The electriction arrived on time and solved the problem. we are very satisfied.

It seems our wiring was somewhat messed up, a previous electrician did not do good work, so It took a while to complete the procedure.

Had to make a second trip. Happily, the second trip came shortly after the first.

Called after buying the big deal, was prompt. Did what I exactly asked for.

I bought an Angie's Special Deal for $99. for two hours of electrical service. I told Ben Bogen that I was having a difficult time finding the light fixtures and ceiling fans that I liked and that did not appear to be a problem for him. When I finally had the fixtures about 6 weeks later, he promptly scheduled the appointment. Minor, who came to do the work, answered all my questions, including my options for moving my internet connection from the basement to the first floor. He was very pleasant, professional and worked efficiently. He did a very good job installing the fixtures. He offered explanations about how to use the ceiling fan, the correct bulbs for the fixtures, etc. and left the fan rotating in the right direction for this time of year. Both work areas were completely cleaned up when he finished. I would have preferred to have him take the broken fixtures with him but I should have mentioned it to him. I am very pleased to have had the work done without any problems, and done professionally, efficiently and the areas left clean. it was indeed a very Special Deal!!

My home can be hard to find, but Ben remembered my directions and found the house without calling for help, as most people do. He and his assistant arrived on time, got right to work, and were fast, competent and professional. They were more than willing to answer questions, and brainstorm/problem-solve on the spot. (I love creative problem-solvers.) They completed all the work in the time of the agreement, and stayed a little extra to give me an estimate on further work. No extra charge. They were courteous and personable--a great team. I would hire them again without hesitation.

They were wonderful. I will use them again. They were really good.

Ben evaluated the situation accurately, gave me a very realistic assessment, and performed the work beautifully and in a timely fashion. He was totally professional throughout and easy to work with. He is a bit more expensive (but not high, as these things go) relative to other electricians I've hired, but well worth the price. Great guy, great work, and I'd hire him again in a heart-beat.

The job was done as thorough as it can be! Ben explained every step of what he had to do. Our 100+ year old house had old wiring (of course) that needed to be replaced from the box to the lights (the electrical box is at the other side of the house). Installed a dual light switch for recessed lights and a spot light. I added to the job while Ben was there to put in a outdoor outlet which he did without any problems. After two plus hours, the job was done!!!

They came and checked to make sure that everything was okay and did an inspection of the house. They fixed an outlet connected to my irrigation system that had been causing it to shut off. They were very diligent and pleasant to work with. I would use them again in the future if anything else comes up.
