Response from JR's Landscape & Custom Stonework
Wow! I am shocked by this review. The only thing fraudulent is this review. It amazes me how some people can just throw out false remarks and statements and post it online without any repercussions. This customer stated that they contacted us in April and work did not get done until June. False. There project was performed and completed on May 14th. Were we delayed? We were coming off the worst winter on record and our season did not start until May. Of course we were! I would have loved to have been able to get to their work done in April. The weather just simply did not cooperate. When we did the work the customer emailed us and said the yard looked much better. The customer also stated in their review we were not responsive. False. I have 42 emails on record between our company and this customer over a 60 day period. That is not responsive?!?! They purchased a hardscape/landscape design deal for $49. For the record, we do not make a penny from this deal. The purchase goes entirely to Angie's List. The customer was asking if they could just apply this towards their project? We also tried on numerous times to set up this consultation. We never felt they were very serious about this but we still followed through. When a customer purchases this deal we ask if they need design or hardscape. We would have to send a designer or our company mason to provide a quote. When asked they said they wanted design. Our design estimator met with them for over an hour to talk. No design discussion at all, they wanted a wall. This was very frustrating because that was something we specifically asked. It was a big waste of our time. They had no plan, no budget, and really wanted to just talk about a wall. I told them our mason would have to come out to see them. He called at least 3 times which we have documented, yet he never received a call back. When we did not hear back we emailed the customer to find out their best call back number. Perhaps there was a better number to call. They did not even respond to that email. However, they did say they wanted to just do the ivy spray (which was another job). Therefore, we did not put them on the back burner we closed the file on the wall due to non response from customer and we continued on with the ivy spray per customer request. We completed the additional spraying work for them on July 14th which they paid in full. Why would someone pay for additional work to be done, then leave a review saying that additional work (that was paid for) was never done? It doesn't make sense. The one thing we can agree on is we both wish she never purchased that deal. This is very difficult to swallow. We wok very hard to maintain a top tier reputation and it is extremely disappointing that someone can come on here and say any false statement and attempt to tarnish our representation.
