JLM Gutter Cleaning Service

The job went fine. It's hard for us to tell, because we can't see up there, but we think it went fine. We weren't home when they came in. We had a snowstorm, so we had to do rescheduling, but we definitely didn't have any issues with them.

I never even saw them. They just showed up, cleaned the gutters and gave the bill, which was easy. I did not have any interaction with them. I think the price was high; not too much but not less either. I would use them in the future if I need them.

All communication was via email. They came when they were scheduled to come, did the job thoroughly and neatly, and left. Will use them again next year.

Ann, the contact person, was most pleasant. The actual job was delayed due to snow storms but communication to reschedule was good. The price was also reasonable. They cleaned up nicely before leaving.

Very professional, cleaned up after, left an invoice.

They came cleared the gutters and left the bill for later payment. No fuss no muss.

Louie called to ask if he could do the job a day early. A crew of 3 arrived, quickly erected a ladder and worked from the roof. There was a $15 extra charge for removing and reinstalling my gutter guards. Took about 45 minutes total. Ordered under an Annie's List big deal. Very happy with service.

My husband and I are partners in a small business and, as such, pride ourselves on quick response and consider a job complete when, and only when, the customer is completely satisfied. JLM Gutter Cleaning is the ONLY company other than ours that returns our calls promptly. In a down economy, when contractors are struggling to stay alive, it is shocking to us that we have to chase after contractors to get a response -- sometimes they don't call back at all. Ann returned my calls almost immediately, and she is extremely busy -- the mark of a true professional. The crew arrived exactly during the time period specified. They introduced themselves, asked if I had any questions, and got to work. The job was performed quickly and thoroughly. I am extremely pleased and recommend them highly.

I called on a Wednesday to find out the availability and cost of having my gutters cleaned. The next time, JLM sent a person out to my home and gave me an estimate that I found reasonable. I called that afternoon to say that I wanted to proceed. I was told that a crew would show up on Monday. On Monday, 3 men showed up and were professional and did an outstanding job of cleaning my gutters.

As for an estimate on gutter repair and replacement- it was vague and incomplete- sent an email responding to their estimate (the estimate was emailed) never got specific answers to my questions or an adjusted estimate- they just wanted to walk me through it. Their suggestion/estimate would have replaced 2/3 rds of the gutters on the house, with the ones in the front, never addressed or replaced- it would have looked hideous!

Excellent job, will be setting up a maintenance contract with them for ongoing worry free service.

The JLM crew was on site at 8:00 am and completed the job at 9:00 am

Very poor communicators. Would not respond to request to discuss job on telephone. Wanted payment before services were to be performed. Based on the poor up front communications and request to be paid before performing service I decided not to use this vendor.

We took advantage of the Angie's List Big Deal with JLM Gutter Cleaning Service and had a wonderful experience. Ann made the appointment for cleaning that was convenient for my work schedule, and was also able to accommodate my neighbor deciding later that he wanted his gutters cleaned, also. The week of the appointment, Ann called to say they wanted to come earlier than scheduled due to predicted bad weather. JLM cleaned the gutters meticulously and took care not to disturb any of my plants in the garden beds along the house--in fact, not a blade of grass was disturbed during their visit. They cleaned all debris and barely left a trace that they'd ever been there. We had a Nor-easter 2 days after their visit, and my gutters were clean and ready for all the rain! I'd definitely use JLM again and would recommend them to anyone.

We purchased this service through the Angie's List Big Deal, so we got a great price. Three workmen came out and they got the entire job done in about 15 minutes. They were careful to work around my front garden, and did a thorough clean-up job. They were friendly and professional. Ann, the office manager, was very good about communicating with me. Would use them again.

We hadn't had our gutters cleaned for several years. JLM retuened my call promptly, gave me a firm estimate the next day and showed up as scheduled the following Wednesday. They were done and cleaned up in half an hour or so. Our house is over a hundred years old and three stories on front to back sloping lot. The long dry spell made the blowing out of debris easier. (No living plants in the gutters)

Went well. Call promptly returned. Arrived on day and time promised, did their work quickly. Only sign of their arrival and departure was leaf and debris-free gutters.

The crew arrived and promptly and efficiently "blew out" all the gutters. The accumulations at the downspouts were manually removed and wire strainers installed in the downspouts connected to inground drainage pipes. They picked up and removed all the debris removed from the gutters. The crew were very nice. I signed up to go on the twice yearly schedule of cleaning.

After some initial phone tag, we set an appointment date, the crew showed up on time and like a gutter cleaning swat-team, they scaled the roof, cleaned the gutters, and were done in a matter of minutes, without leaving any debris on the ground. I was very happy with the result.

VERY IMPRESSED from start to finish. I had asked for proof of insurance as they would be up on the roof. This was sent immediately to me. (I had called another well reviewed person on the list who was going to send insurance proof but never did) JLM was quoted a figure less than the other contractor and in the end charged even less than that. Very Reasonable. Very polite Very Nice. I see why they are at the top of the list.

The work went very well, and they were a pleasure to deal with. They were courteous, professional, and true to their word. I was more impressed with them in comparison to the companies that I had dealt with earlier.

They did the job but left over some debris. After I made a call to report it to the girl in the office she had someone out right away to fix the matter.

I emailed JLM to ask about price to clean the gutters on my 2 story 2500 sf home. Ann responded quickly with the estimate and let me know that if they could do the repair quickly/cheaply they could do it the same day as well. I scheduled the cleaning for the next week. They came the scheduled day, did the repair at no charge since it turned out to be a small thing and left an invoice. Easy, reasonable and quick!

They were really great! They came and cleaned the gutters, and then I had them check one that had been leaking. He took pictures and showed me that the fascia board was rotted. We had just had everything painted, so I was surprised that the painters hadn't caught it! They came back and repaired the boards. They were cautious and really seemed to know what they were doing. They were right on time for both appointments. I plan to have them back out in November to blow the leaves out of the gutters.
