JLM Gutter Cleaning Service

It was exactly what needed to be done. I got three estimates, they were in the middle, but they were going to do everything I needed. They did an excellent job.

JLM scheduled the service promptly, did the work as scheduled, and I was pleased with the thoroughness.

Very responsive, emailed them and they got back to me right away. They were out with the next day with a crew to clean the gutters. The price seemed very fair too, I didn't shop around but $135 vs. hours of me on a ladder is worth every penny. They also provided a quote to install gutter guards.

They came on time. Did the job as expected.

Called Thursday to get my gutters cleaned. They came Saturday and did a great job. Even cleaned sticks from my roof.

I hired the company through an Angie's List email deal. They didn't show up the first day we had arranged. I called the office and the person who answered the phone wasn't sure why that was but -- maybe weather -- but we scheduled another day. When I came home that day I wasn't sure if they had been there or not. So I called again. The owner said there should have been a receipt under the door but since there wasn't he would send someone or come himself, have a look and leave a receipt. No receipt or communication at all arrived but I was pretty sure they had done it because we weren't getting any water in the basement. Now, one year later we got an "ONGOING GUTTER MAINTENANCE PURCHASE ORDER" in the mail, which also says "This purchase order is for your convenience, you, the customer, may cancel this purchase order in writing at anytime...." For a company so lax with paperwork they sure got this in. The purchase order is in the recycle bin.

JLM was very responsive to the inquiry I sent via Angie's List and we set up a date/time for them to come do the work the next week. They do 2-hour time windows, which is good but not as great as an exact time. The only glitch was that the day was too rainy for them to work but I didn't get any advanced notice (they called at the start of the 2-hr window they were supposed to be here) so I stayed home from work in the AM anyway. But they scheduled anoter visit a few days later and this one went off without a hitch. The team was on time, was professional, worked quickly and neatly and handled a few minor curve balls without problem or extra cost. They even found and cleaned a smalll side gutter I didn't realize we had. I gave them a "B" on price simply because I don't know if $225 is a good or bad price, so best not to give the top grade on that if I don't know fo sure. I would definitely recommend them and will plan on using them again next time.

JLM was easy to work with, easy to schedule, came on time, worked very quickly, and did a great job. I've only been in the house 3 years. I can't get up high enough to directly see all the work they did. However I hired them because of drips, icicles, and ice patches on my front walk and steps during the previous winters. After their gutter cleaning those problems never happened again, so there's evidence they did a great and thorough job. I'm very happy with it. I also had asked them to check out the state of the gutters and let me know if any repairs were needed, especially in that area that was dripping. They let me know that just the cleaning should be enough. Since I wouldn't know the difference if they had told me I needed to do repairs, I'd say they are honest! They did great work, and everyone I interacted with was very courteous. They didn't need me to be home so the work was very convenient, but still someone did call to tell me when they'd be there so I was in the loop. I would definitely work with JLM again, in fact am considering signing up for regular service (just haven't yet decided how frequent to make the interval).

The cleaners were fast, efficient and thorough. A tad messy but after all, this is to be expected with gutter cleaning. They did the job without my being home which was very nice. I was very pleased with this service and would use them again.

Everything went well, and they did a good job. They provided excellent advice on preventing water from going between the gutter and the fascia board, too.

Had some minor difficulty connecting and trying to get estimate. Job was done well. Did find the replaced parts of downspouts lying in my yard the next day. Would have been nice to clean up after. Overall the work was good.

They were quiet and quick about the job. I was very satisfied!

It was quite easy to arrange. From Ann in the office returning my call promptly, to getting the crew out within a week of the call. They cleaned the gutters and inspected them. They identified a problem and made a suggestion on how to correct it.

They said they were to come anytime from noon to 3 pm on May 6th. I was home by 12:30 that day and when they had not come by 3 pm, I contacted them and was told they had come earlier than they expected. They said they had left a note by the front door or in the mailbox (we do not have one). There was no note. My husband got onto a ladder to check if they had performed the work. There was sand and debris in the gutters so we called them and asked them to come, providing photos of the house so that they would know what it looked like. They came, and stayed for only a few minutes, saying they had performed the service previously. The gutters have sand and dirt in them. We would have expected that to be cleaned out too. Their quality is fair at best. We will not use this service again and would not recommend them.

It was one of those specials, it was like a deal of the week or deal of the day and I had them for gutter cleaning. I did not check the gutters but I am assuming they did a good job. End of the day, they said they would and it was the price they said it would be. They came when they said they would. They left the bill for me and I paid it. It was nice that they came when they said they would. They did a fine job.

They called me very soon after I got the discount coupon thru Angie's list. They set up a time, came when they were supposed to and did a great job.

I signed up for the $99 Angies list big deal promotion. Louie and the crew came out and quickly cleaned my gutters. They did a good job cleaning it. They did clean up after the cleaning, but I did notice there was still some leaves dried up on my front steps. Overall good service and definitely very professional and friendly. Would use them again!

I did everything, like scheduling the cleaning, by email so that was very simple and helpful. They came on time and they did a good job. I got a $15 Angie?s List discount. I would recommend them.

I wasnt home but as far as i could tell and since the water if flowing much better now, they did an excellent job. The only strange thing that happened was that after they left another group from the same company came out to do the same job. (mixed signals?)

I asked for a specific day and time when they would come to clean the gutters as I wanted to be there. They provided it and came as scheduled. It was a crew of 4 people. They climbed the roof and cleaned and flushed the gutters. They spent approximately 1 hour. They picked up majority of the debris from cleaning. It has been four months, gutters are still flowing, so they must have done a good job of cleaning them. Overall, I am happy with the job they did.

I wasn't home when they did the job. The person who was said they were fast and did the job but commented that they were extremely loud given the relatively early morning hour. (Not too considerate of the home's inhabitant nor of the neighbors.) Haven't experienced any terrible problems with the gutters over the winter so must assume they did their job.

Great! Gutters are cleaned and they leave a pen with note in your mailbox to let you know they have been there. I may take them up on some gutter repair work in the near future. Anytime I email their general email, I always get a prompt response!

Just to make an appointment was very difficult, they wouldn't respond to my phone calls. They said they put a sealer on the gutters, then when it was warmer out here it started leaking in the corner. They were supposed to come back to replace the corners, but they never called me back. So I'm not even going to call them back because he wouldn't respond, it's just frustrating. If you're going to be any business you would think that they should have some customer service. It was horrible. They didn't respond to my phone calls and they did a job that wasn't right. None of my expectations were met. I guess the price was okay for what they did. I should of done more quotes but it was such a small job.

I had used them previously and that's why I chose to use them again. The price was fine. I think they were in my proximity. They were relatively inexpensive. When I called it was easy to set up an appointment and they kept their appointment. I would consider using them again in the future.
