JLM Gutter Cleaning Service

This yr they came after a snow storm and had to return due to a snow covered roof. Would have hoped that they would have showed up earlier in the season. Otherwise their service was satisfactory.

Great! We were fortunate enough to get it down in December! They caught a time when weather permitted cleaning. They were diligent in their communications which is always appreciated.

When I called to set up an appointment, they said they would put me on their list and the job would get done at some point. I was startled out of bed early on a Saturday by what sounded like an airplane landing on my roof. There was a group of men climbing on my roof with giant blowers. They were gone in about 10 minutes, and the job was done. It would have been nice to know when they were coming, but otherwise they did the job of clearing the leaves from the gutters.

When crew arrived, one man came to the door, gave me an invoice for the agreed-upon amount and took my check. Crew did work and was gone within 15 minutes. No one came to door to report on cleaning; there was no follow-up by company. I'd also asked them to be sure to include downspouts.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they did a fine job. They showed up on time and did a nice job.

Seems to me they should have been better able to plan the day well enough to fulfill their promises. And, if not, they should have contacted me early in the day so I didn't wait around for them. I told them to forget it.

Weather held them from making two appointment dates but they contacted me regarding the issue.

It had been very cold the night before and I thought that they might want to re-schedule but they came anyway and chipped the gutters clean.

They came when they were suppose to. They had reasonable rates. They cleaned out our gutters on a 2 story home and it took them less an hour.

I was impressed with the scheduling, as it was late in the season and the company was hit with scheduling over several cold days and snow storms. Only one reschedule of my job, and they kept the date on a Sunday before Christmas. Unfortunately, I had been assured over the phone prior to the job that the men would pick up everything they found in the gutters and leave the property the way they found it. Instead I saw them pick up some leaves and leave with a few buckets, but they also blowed the remaining leaves away from the foundation into the yard and left leaves scattered, as well as piles on tops of bushes that were thrown from the gutters above. I had to spend a few hours Christmas Eve morning raking myself. I did call the company the day after the job and left a message about this issue but did not get a call back. Overall, looks like a professional, competent company, and I am impressed that they were able to do a risky job in tough weather close to the holidays. However, I would expect a clean property after the job is complete with no work necessary on my part. I would be willing to try them again if they would guarantee this to be the case.

The crew that came to the house were very professional and went about their business in an efficient manner. The gutters were somewhat frozen underneath the leaves and pine needles and the guys scraped them down to the metal. All gutters were cleaned by hand. The yard was cleaned up very nicely as well. Will use them again.

I first reached into the Company the week prior to Thanksgiving once all of the area oak trees had shed their leaves. I was surprised that they had an approximate 3 week backlog. The original appointment was set for Dec 13th. They called me on the Dec 12th and told me that they needed to reschedule. Given that we had 2 snow storms back to back, I was concerned that the gutters were not going to get cleaned this season. JLM called me on the 19th and said that they would be out the next day. I was working from home the day they came to clean the gutters and I was mightily impressed with their work. Half of the house's gutters had not thawed from the prior snow storms so the workers chipped out the ice to get to the gutter debris. They also did a great job cleaning up. I slightly dinged them on Responsiveness and Punctuality but given their backlog and the crazy weather, I understood the situation. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Horrible. First appointment was cancelled inexplicably the day prior. They did call however, and we agreed on another date. They never showed up for the second appointment, nor did they give us the courtesy of calling to cancel. Now it is too late in the season to perform the gutter cleaning. Unprofessional. Wasted a lot of our time.

We'd purchases a great Big Deal for gutter cleaning service that expired during a period when life threw some crazy at us. We simply wanted to be credited the amount paid for the deal, but JLM had some trouble finding the record of our purchase. Because it took awhile to settle and schedule, they kindly honored the original detail, which we SO appreciated. The crew arrived on schedule and got right down to business. I'm not even sure how many there were, but they made fast and thorough work of tackling our really cluttered gutters. They did a pretty good job cleaning up afterward too. The estimate we received by mail in short order seems reasonable and we're definitely considering it. Thanks!

JLM did a good job cleaning out the gutters. I am dinging them slightly for being somewhat difficult to get in touch with (I have only ever talked to Anne, never the actual gutter cleaners), and for not doing a very good clean up after they finished their work. Minor items, but it's the little things that differentiate.

I was not home but the work was done and all cleaned up.

They came out when they said they would and did a great job. They cleaned up well and I as very impressed.

I called and left a message on Monday, October 7 asking for an estimate. The answering machine said that Ann was out of the office and would return my call on Wednesday. She returned my call first thing Wednesday morning and promised me an estimate within 2 days. She called back with an estimate of $125 one day later and asked me when I wanted the gutters clean. We agreed to Wednesday, October 16. The crew showed up at 7:30 am on Wednesday, October 16th and cleaned the gutters. They cleaned up all the mess from the gutters and left virtually no sign that they had been here (except for clean gutters). The whole experience has been positive and professional.

I used them for gutter cleaning on the house that I was living at at the time before I sold it. They came out and were quick and efficient.

The folks from JLM were efficient and prompt. They did a great job cleaning our gutters.

Communication was excellent from the time I bought the big deal. They were clear about process, scheduling and cost for addition. Outstanding work.

Well, it's hard to say how it went. This was a late fall cleaning, so hoses were not an option. The method they used was to put ladders up in the front of the house get up on the roof. They used gas air blowers to blow out the gutters from above. They walked over the rooftop to get to the back gutters (up 3 stories...yikes). I was around and saw some leaves flying around. Since I can't get up to the roof, I don't know how dirty the gutters were after all the leaves had fallen, or how clear the gutters were after the cleaning. What I can say, is that the full service only took 10-15min. My hunch is that a close-up cleaning from ladders, and checking the level and function of the gutters would probably be better. So, while I can't say if the job was done well or not, it seemed rather quick, and possibly not as thorough as the local guy that I have used in the past. That said, if the local guy was unavailable (I couldn't find locate him for a few yrs.), I would consider using JLM again, maybe talking through the cleaning methodology in advance to be sure it's thorough.

Overall the experience was great. They contacted my the same day and scheduled very quickly. Since it's outside work you do not have to be present when they are there which is a huge help. They did an amazing job on the day they said they would be there. They not only cleaned out all the gutters but cleaned all the debris off of my roof as well and left the entire property spotless. I will absolutely use JLM again to clean my gutters and for any gutter related issues that might arise.
