Description of Work: My experience with Sila was entirely positive, start to finish. The inspector and installers showed up early for their respective appointments (but respectfully waited until their appointment times to knock on my door). They were friendly, efficient, and worked very clean. What could have been a stressful experience (full replacement of a gas furnace) was handled seamlessly by all Sila employees involved. I enthusiastically recommend Sila for any heating/air conditioning needs.

Description of Work: Anthony performed a thorough pre-winter cleaning and evaluation of my gas furnace, walked me through what he would be doing at the outset, and discussed and documentd his work when through. I never felt any preasure from him to pay for add-on services while he was working, and his answers to my questions were complete and informative. This is the second time I've used Sila and will use them again as needed. Great service, people, and peace of mind. Thnak you.

Description of Work: We had Sila check out two central A/C units that had been neglected for years. They could have recommended all sorts of parts, but didn't---instead they recommended that we run them until they wear out and replace them with new higher efficiency units. The technician was very professional and I appreciated his honesty on the state of the equipment.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal on Angie's List for a tune-up of my Mitshubishi air conditioner and heater. The technician came out, checked out the system and recommended that I order a new filter which I did. The next day a puddle of water appeared under the unit. I called Sila, got immediate service and a wonderful technician Bobby came out, did a temporary fix but said that I had a crack in the water pan. I said that I had not had a problem before the tune-up. Sila ordered and installed the pan free of charge. They were prompt and professional. A man named Domenic who did the follow-up kept me informed of how everything would be handled. | |Bobby just left he replaced the part, made sure no leakage occurred and changed the filter that I had ordered very quickly and very pleasantly. | |I can't say enough about the customer service displayed by Sila. | |

Description of Work: The actual service man was very pleasant and professional. I did get the impression from simultaneous ads on Angie's list that the visit to flush the water heater was a lead in to selling me a replacement for my water heater. I was not entirely comfortable with that. |

Description of Work: I got a quote from them for converting from oil to gas. They only do part of it (the furnace and the hot water heater, but they don't pipe gas to the stove and gas fireplace. So we picked another vendor that did all the HVAC plus the plumbing work so we would only need 1 company instead of coordinating Sila and another company that would do the rest of the job. When they came to give the quote, they were professional and seemed to know their stuff.

Description of Work: They replaced an old water heater with a brand new one. I was completely satisfied with every aspect of the service. The only reason I gave them a "B" grade for Overall and Price, was because they stated after the installation, that they would need an additional $90 to remove the old water heater. There would have been no charge for a normal removal, but they said the old unit was wider than our basement doorframe so the extra charge was to break up the unit to get it out. I was at work - - my neighbor let them in to perform the job so I didn't witness the removal. Overall I am completely satisfied and would use them again - - I just would have like the extra charge information earlier.
