Description of Work: They took less than a cup of water from my water heater. I paid $89 for 30 seconds of work. Complete waste of time and money.

Description of Work: Background: I was already a SILA customer having purchased two of these units several years ago. |I wanted to purchase this unit to replace an A/C only unit in my wife's home office. The older unit would go to one of our bedrooms. |The price on the deal was actually the price of the unit alone - all the installation and profit were taken out. One of the representatives explained that that March is a very slow month. In order to keep their employees busy (not laid off) they were offering the deal. | |The deal: so when the rep came to the house we discussed an earlier quote for a much larger unit with three heads. After some discussion he made me 'an offer I could not refuse' on the larger unit, the three heads and full installation. |The installation took place the next day! |They did a great job at a superb price. |Lesson learned: buy A/C equipment in March!

Description of Work: Furnace cleaning and check up. This work was done professionally and in a timely fashion, but I reduced the rating because the parts identified as needing replacements on a future visit were never ordered or followed up by silva as we requested.

I did not solicit any other bids for the anode rod replacement, so don't have a baseline on the value for that service. However, it had been 7 years since the water heater was put in the house, so it seemed reasonable

Description of Work: Sila did the maintenance on the furnace and convinced us we needed to buy a maintenance contract. Then, coincidentally, our hot water heater died the day of the furnace appointment. We got another quote that was even higher to replace the hot water tank. (When did Hot Water Heaters go from $800 to $2,500!!??) So we went with Sila - they had the unit in stock and were able to install it very quickly. Sila is incredibly professional and responsive. If they only did sump pumps it would be one-stop basement shopping!

Description of Work: The technician, John, provided excellent service. He inspected and cleaned our gas boiler and made a number of recommendations that I will follow. He also looked at our AC unit and gave me suggestions on how to change the filters on a regular basis. I was very impressed by the professionalism and high quality of service that he provided.

Description of Work: Performed a hot water tank draining and check-up as well as a toilet check-up as part of an Angie's list special. Service person was exactly on time, did what was promised, answered all questions, and provided information on the new hot water tank standards that will be coming into effect in the near future.

Description of Work: Craig was here promptly at 7am, which was early. It was for a Furnace - Heating System Check up. He explained everything and made recommendations with no pressure. Thankfully, all is ok with our heating system, but we would definitely consider them if we do have a problem.
