Description of Work: Workers were pleasant, professional & prompt. They completed the assigned task but OVERCHARGED for a part. I purchased a part from HD which "didn't fit."They had one on their truck & charged $59.00+tax. I paid $9.00 @ HD. So $99.00 for the work & surprise $59.00 for a dimmer switch.

Description of Work: They were a day late and didn't reschedule until well after the original appointment was to have started. Other than that they were very good.

Description of Work: I bought a package through Angie's list- $99 for two hours (I think)- they came late - but they had informed me that traffic was bad - so that was OK - when they arrived the lead electrician promptly informed me that because there were two electricians it would just be one hour worth of work for the two of them as they could get more done with two of them - which was fine... Except for the second electrician needed a lot of training and handholding - so I don't think he was as helpful as he could have been. In one hour they changed two GFI outlets and installed an outside motion light - just taking off the old one and putting on a new one. This may have been how long it would take anyone - but it just felt like they could have done a couple of other small items in that amount of time, but the first electrician had to help the second a lot. Also - for the two GFI plates - they charged approximately $40 - I could've picked a couple of those up for less at Home Depot - but I was told on the phone when I made the appointment that they do not really charge that much for those items. I should have known better. I was also told two different prices for their hourly charge if they ended up doing additional work - one when I made the appointment with the person on the phone and one by the electrician when he came to the house. Despite that - I did like them and I am happy with the work that they did get done.

Description of Work: First of all, I purchased 2 hours of electrical service to get my ceiling fan running. Instead of sending one guy, they sent two. Obviously one was an apprentice. They spent 15 minutes on the fan problem and determined it was a part that needed to be ordered and couldn't finish the job. Later on I noticed they didn't replace the housing cover at the ceiling and lost one screw to the wall plate. Next of course came the "is there anything else we can do for you". By coincidence, I did have a small job in the basement to do (putting two wall switches for the laundry lights. They did the job fine, but I wasn't watching and sure enough they went a couple minutes over the every half hour billing rate and it cost me another $145 for those couple minutes. I surely will never use them again, and I kick my butt for not using a local electrician. Thought I was getting a bargain.

Description of Work: Checked out a list of small electrical questions I had regarding my new house, including troubleshooting some lights that weren't turning on. No resolution on the lights within the time, but he tried and they were efficient, and he provided me with a potential solution that would be more economical than finding and fixing the problem. That said, while $99 for 2 manhours is a great deal, it would have been more efficient and effective had that fallen out as 1 man for 2 hours rather than 2 men for 1 hour, since 10 or so minutes of that hour were taken up in giving them the task list. So I won't use a deal like that again. No issue on their part --the coupon said it might be 1x2 rather than 2x1, and they were efficient-- but it ended up almost inevitable that they'd need an extra half-hour (@$145/30 min) to get to a more sensible stopping point.
