The technician who serviced my furnace was knowledgable, friendly, and prompt. I would highly recommend Sila and will be using them for any future heating needs I have.

They missed the appointment (No show).

Sila, after originally misdiagnosing my furnace troubles, stepped up and were awesome. They sent an emergency tech out, no additional charge, to get the correct diagnosis (needed a new furnace). The next day they had their project team out and after we agreed to purchase through them on a Friday, they had their install team in on Monday morning. So far so good. Helped me get a smaller, more efficient furnace, and didn't replace anything I didn't need, like a/c. I've used Sila for years for other HVAC and plumbing jobs and their always professional and timely. Not the cheapest, but you get great service.

The Tech Guy came out this morning for my heating/boiler unit and figured out the issue in the matter of minutes, he was professional and quick to resolve the issue. Would totally have this company/Guy service my boilers again.

Had my yearly furnace inspection done on 11/15. Guy from Sila was very courteous and quick. Pointed out a problem and addressed problem with the CO test port.

Run don't walk away from these criminals. Charged me $1350 for about $700 (maybe) worth of work. Not sure how these guys get a good rating, might mean Angieslist is the paid advertiser pack of lies we all suspected. Wish I made $500 an hour. Do your self a favor and find an actual honest company. They are out there, hard to find in HVAC but Sila are criminals, liars and happy to take advantage of people in a tough spot. Said I would need another $3000 worth of work and that replacing my HVAC system would cost $40k!!! Worst type of people and type of company, plays on your lack of knowledge, marks up everything to an absurd amount and lies to your face and steals your money... Not sure how you sleep at night guys.

We have had several Sila visits in recent months - all exceptional. VISIT 1: We had old pipes and valves that limited our dishwasher, so we had that replaced. While there, the Sila agent suggested we replace some of the attached lines and managed to streamline our hookups by removing some of the unneeded valves and connections no longer needed. VISIT 2: We similarly had a great visit and instal from David, who did a very beautiful install on our new water heater. He removed the broken unit, improved the connection design, put in improved valves and labelled each with a tag, then tagged other connections through the basement.

Eric was an excellent plumber; on time, professional, efficient, courteous and fastidiously clean. Sila are a very reputable company. They’re not cheap, do deliver excellent value for money.

It went well. They come on time. They are professional and let you know when they are coming in advance. I only call them when they have a deal available.

Good communication. The technician was running late from another job, so I received phone calls apologizing and updating me on the time frame, which was just a couple hours later. They have always been very courteous and responsive.

At first, it seemed like Sila was willing to work with us on the project and pricing. Dale, the project manager tried to work with us on the sale and installation. We came to an agreement on the price and I signed the paperwork that was needed. The installation manager called me the next day to set up a time for installation and for a project walk through the same day. They were supposed to arrive at 2pm but never did. We called them but never got a response. They were scheduled to arrive at 7:30 am the next day and no one showed up. After calling the office, I get an email from the project manager saying that they could not do it for the price quoted. Long story short, bad communication, no due diligence, and a lot of wasted time. Bad business. Very unfortunate. I would not recommend them.

Great experience. Technician was efficient, knowledgeable, punctual and pleasant. He fixed the problem and had all the right equipment with him to do the work. No time was wasted. First time I used this company but definitely not the last time!

Project was done expertly. Cost was double what I expected. Evaluation was $ 89 plus the installation of $359.

Sam was courteous and kept me informed of every step he was performing.

Eric Lundquist, from Sila in Stoneham, replaced my outdoor hose faucet. He was friendly and professional. The work was done in 1 hour, and I am very pleased with the results.

On time, cleaned up after he was finished. Very professional.

Our central air unit died and we called Sila due to the good reviews. Turns out they won’t install a new AC unit if the furnace is more than 10 years old (ours was). So we had to do both at once (ouch). They started off quoting us $11k over the phone, then it jumped up to $16 when they saw our system in person. (1950 sq foot house). Finally they came back with $13k for the cheapest system in our size range. Overall I think we really overpaid and it left a bad taste in my mouth. That said, Sila gets an A+ for availability and service. They came and installed next day which was essential because we have a young child and it was over 90 degrees that week. Actual installation was great. System works well. Next time I’ll anticipate a system replacement before we get to an emergency situation. I think this could have been done for thousands cheaper, on a longer timeline.

It went well overall. I was about to give up on Sila due to some miscommunication. Since I had a year maintenance contract gave it a last try and John G showed up. John diagnosed the issue and together we came to the conclusion that it was better to replace the equipment that they couldn’t service anymore starting 1/1/20 anyway due to new regulations on Freon. He tried to get it done in a day, two carrier a/c units + 2 carrier furnaces, and even when getting close things got complicated last minute. he worked from 7 am to 11 pm that day. After troubleshooting the issue the equipment are up and running with no problem. I know a might have paid more than with another hvac company, however to me it was key to get John and his guys to have this done because I trusted him.

Sila is great and professional. They are definitely more expensive than other providers but worth the cost.
