Great experience overall. My calls to another prominent company were ignored for several days, then I was told they were booked for weeks. I called Sila on a Wednesday and, within 15 mins, had an appointment booked for Friday. The team showed up on time and were very friendly. They discovered that I needed to replace a part on the furnace (not an up-sell, I assure you) and were able to replace it right then. They worked quickly, took the time to explain everything to me, and happily answered my many questions. My system is running great. They'll be my first call if I have any future HVAC needs.

Guy was hands down the best HVAC person we have ever had help us in Boston. Totally transparent, professional, easy to work with. If you need help, I would recommend asking for Guy to come out if possible.

John G did a thoroughly cleaning of our oil boiler. We bought a new boiler 14 months ago and some sediment in the oil tanks caused it to build up a lot of ash. John worked several hours to have it look shiny and new again

They did a same-day house call. They cleaned the flame sensor to get it working again. Several parts were old and need to be replaced. They gave me a quote for fixing the rest. Brian and Kyle came out to the house. They were perfect - friendly, professional, explained everything to me clearly. It was $125 to come out and $90 every 1/2 hour for the diagnostic. Total: $305. A little pricey, but not bad to get your heat working again on short notice.

We have worked with Sila for many years. They installed 2 hot air gas furnaces at my South Boston rental property a few years ago. They have serviced 4 systems each year. Last month, they installed 2 new gas furnaces. The sales rep was great to work with and gave us a substantial credit to make the numbers work for us to install the 2 systems. The team of 7 arrived early the next day, installed each system, then an inspection by the lead tech was done after that. The job was done in one day. Everyone was and always is very professional and very good to work with. They do the job and clean up after. They provide 24 hour service which I need having a rental property. They are reliable and I can always get someone to go out to the house no matter what time it is. They always call you right back when calling after hours. The prices may seem a bit higher than other companies for emergency or any service but it's well worth it because they respond and show up. They also offer many specials for tune ups, plumbing, etc. I highly recommend Sila for any of your heating, air conditioning, and plumbing needs.

I went terribly. Ripped off. Made me pay over $400 because he "guessed wrong" about why my ac wasn't working. This was for a $129 check up deal through Angie's list. Came without the equipment needed to find out how much freon was in condenser so he guessed that he probably had enough freon to get it working again. He was wrong. And charged me for the freon he used to find this out. In fact, there was NO freon in the condenser, probably stolen over winter - and the condenser would have to be replaced. And I didn't tell them to do this, no I didn't approve this. They did this because they were so sure they knew that I just needed a topping off of freon to get things going. Not in the form of "would you like us to go ahead and put in the freon we've got? If it doesn't turn out to be the problem, then we have to charge you for the freon. And it's expensive." Nope. He called his boss and was instructed to just go ahead and put in the freon. And when I walked back over to see how he was doing, he had already emptied the freon and found out that it wouldn't solve a thing. And then he wrote up his bill. But no, he said, they wouldn't consider putting the over $400 they charged me for the "check up" and the cost for useless freon - their mistake - toward the cost of a new condenser. But his boss may consider giving me a $100 off a new ac. I said no thanks. I thought to myself that I better cut my losses now. You might show up with a new condenser but no tools to install it and charge me an extra day or more labor for that. Not the way to do business.

I have an excellent service plan! SILA sent a determined service person named John. It was a tricky problem because every time they got here the heat would be back on (3rd trip). John was so determined to figured it out he even called the maker. He came well prepared ready for several alternatives. He knew an arctic front was heading tonight. He just left (7:30 pm). My heat is on and the malfunction repaired. 👏👏John much appreciated! AND all three trips and repairs were covered by my plan. I will never complain about the high cost of the plan again.

The service work went very smoothly. I've worked with Guy a few times before and he's always been helpful and takes the time to explain the mechanics of the furnace. We took advantage of the maintenance agreement which included the servicing - a good deal for peace of mind.

Eric L. from Sila arrived excatly on time at 8AM as promised. He provided me with a number of options, and I decided to have a new hot water tank installed (the old one was showing rusty water). He was able to have the replacement tank installed and working within a couple of hours.

Im So upset. Company did a fabulous job on my central air conditioning problems. When I reached out to fix heating issues they came out. Change thermostats and insisted it was all set. I knew it Wasn't working but trusted him it would take just some time . I was right and they came out again and said they had to order a part. Never got back to me and waited a few weeks. Called again and said they would send out a supervisor because of all the problems I've had. Set a time, took A-day off and supervisor never showed Up. I called again to say forget it Phone representative confirmed it was on the schedule and had no answers. She convinced me to take a phone call from a manager and I waited. Guess what? Nobody ever called. You can't make this stuff up. Just terrible. Especially in winter and nessing with heat.

Sila met my highest expectations. Very professional, on time and knowledgable.

The overall Sila team was great from the debugging of the issue, explaining the options and replacing the HVAC unit. There were multiple sila techs that helped out which we’re all great and Guy spent time explaining the new unit after it was installed and we learned a lot about our new unit.

I had requested a quote and got an email wanting me to call them to discuss my project, that was the only communication I received. After two weeks I called them and got a quote which was higher than I wanted to pay, I passed.

Sila called me the evening before asking if I could reschedule to 7am instead of 8am which i very specifically said no to. Even after clearly telling them not to come until after 8am because I wouldn't be home the technician arrived at 7am and began working on the furnace without my authorization. They did not even bother to call or inform me that they had arrived, he entered the house without my ( homeowners) permission. When i arrived at the house and asked the technician about the appointment time, he told me it was 7am. I asked him to check his records and he laughed it off as if that didn't matter. I have no idea whether he actually serviced my furnace or not because i was not present. He was hesitant in giving any details on what work was performed except for a flue test. I am extremely disappointed with this service call because of all this.

Guy, our technician, spent a lot of time tracking down the required parts. He was very pleasant to work with.
