When he cut the first of the 8 holes for lighting in the living room ceiling we discovered 4 layers of ceiling/drywall etc that previous owners had put up over time. So for every hole he cut he had to go through 4 layers on each! Extremely time consuming. The only electrical wires in the room were in outlets that were a couple feet from the floor so he had to snake the wire inside the wall from the outlet, up towards the ceiling and across the ceiling and come out through the hole he drilled for the light fixture. This was not an easy task. For each of the 8 lights he cut out he had to measure perfectly so that each light was the same distance from the next and to make sure all 8 were centered in the room. All the lights were the same distance from the edge of the wall. Once he got the wire up the wall to the first light he had to snake the wire to each of the other 7 holes he drilled in the ceiling but he could only snake it so far before he would have to drill through a ceiling joist. And when there was a spot where two rooms met on the second floor he had to drill through 2 joists together. He had to drill through these joists from the previous hole above the ceiling drywall using what looked like a 4 foot drill bit. Amazing! I don't know if my description here can give you a visual of the work Mr Santana did but it was just amazing. And the ceiling is a popcorn ceiling. He never bumped it once. We didn't tell him ahead of time that we wanted the lights that were the bright white lights (not the ones he had on his truck) so he took a break and went to the store to purchase what we wanted no problem and he asked if we wanted to change out the two recessed lights in the kitchen to match the ones he was putting in so everything would be the same. Which we did. It came out beautifully. He worked from 9 to 5:30 and the final cost to us was $1700.00 for the additional kitchen fixtures. We couldn't have been more pleased with his work

I contacted Dan through text message, as his voice mailbox was already full. After letting him know that I want him to drill another hole for the second island lighting and installed both of them, he gave me an estimated quote, which was pretty closed to the actual cost. Dan and his fellow were very professional.They solved my problem less than one hour. I would use them again if I have any electrical problems in the future.

Mr. Santana responded to an email sent through his website regarding our need for work. Over the telephone, we set up a time for him to come out and take a look at our home. He made himself available within 24 hours and was on time for the appointment. He spent about 30 minutes speaking to me about our needs and walking room-to-room. He also made detailed notes on our basement and garage since both areas will play a role in the wiring process. Two days after he visited our home, he emailed a very detailed estimate for the project. The estimate was higher than I'd been expecting. I spoke with him about it and he politely and thoroughly outlined what went into both his vision for the work and the costs included as a result. His explanation made sense and I can see that the error on pricing was likely my own as a lay person rather than his as a professional. We have decided to put this project on hold for the near term, but I wanted to update A.L. on our interactions with Mr. Santana. We'd have no reservations with calling on him again for future work. Update: We ended up having the work completed by Mr. Santana. He and another worker put in home runs for cable TV and Internet, plus data, between our second floor and our basement. All work was very tidy and they cleaned up after their work was complete. The total charge, while still not inexpensive, was ultimately less than the original estimate. I would recommend this business to others and would use them again ourselves going forward.

I called, he responded in a timely manner, showed up on time, professional and completed the job. This is the 2nd time I've used the services and would recommend and use again.

Dan and Jim called to let me know they were on their way. When they arrived it took Dan about 10 minutes to diagnose my problem - a short in my bathroom plug was keeping everything down the line from working. It took him and his dad about half an hour to replace the plug - it actually had a burn mark in it!! They got everything up and running and replaced another outlet cover that was broken. They were great and I will hire them again without question. Really nice people.

I emailed Dan from his website on New Years Eve. I never expected to wake up to an email response the next morning. He asked me questions via email so that when he arrived he would have the necessary parts.He arrived on time and went quickly to work. The work was done efficiently. He explained everything he was going to do and how much it would cost before work was done. I expected to be tied up for the most of the morning but he was in and out very quickly. They cleaned up all mess made. I cant wait till my next job with him.

Dan and his team did a great job. It went like clockwork from the beginning - Dan called to set up an appointment, confirmed, and on the day of the appointment called to let me know he was on his way. He provided his quote within a couple of days via e-mail, and answered all my questions. On the date of the work and he and his team were punctual and got right to work. The work was very professional, and the work area was cleaned up before they left. Dan took me through all the work they did, showed me how everything worked and ensured all was right and I was fully satisfied before he left. He was well within his quote and I know I got a top-quality job for a very fair price. I will continue to use Dan for my future electrical needs.

I have been working with Dan for quite a few years. He has always been very professional and I trust his work. He is the only person that will ever do electrical work for me. If he is unavailable right away, I will wait. However, if it is an urgent matter, he goes above and beyond to get in to fix my problem. The BEST thing about Dan is that after all these years, I am still able to get the personal service that he started out with. He is a great person both personally and professionally. Excellent. Dan was very responsive with my initial request providing an estimate along the same lines as others but was quick to respond, friendly on the phone, easily answered my questions offered advice that was useful, and although a small item, offered a operational checklist to be placed on the fuse panel for when power went out. Dan arrived on time as scheduled. Reviewed my request and got to it. Was quick in accomplishing the work. Together we did a test run with our new generator and then he took his time walking me through the process until I was comfortable and had answered all my questions, not just about his work but about the generator I had purchased form Home Depot as well. When Dan first arrived I also asked him about an additional ask that had come up. Putting in a ceiling light and two switches. After the initial project was complete we discussed the light project. Dan was very helpful in offering a very workable alternate solution, but being professional he did explain he had another client to attend to so we scheduled him right then and there to return in just a few days to accomplish the light. His return trip was equally uneventful and his recommended wireless light solution works perfect. A little pricey but highly recommended. As a side note, quite the young man. Very accomplished, professional and personable.. A great combination for success.

Initial message left and call returned in 2 days. A couple days later Dan came for look / estimate. Scheduled work for following week. Dan called the night before to make sure I had done my part of the process, and then showed up on time next day. Dan and father worked very efficiently and professionally. All work completed and future work estimated. Highly recommend !!

I called Santana Electric asked for an estimate for work I wanted done. He came as scheduled on the morning of October 26, 2013. He spent about 15 minutes looking at what I wanted to worked on said he would send me an email with the estimate. I told him cost was a concern and that I had an idea of a ball park figure for the cost of this job. Well, here we are November 3 and no email, no written estimate and contact from him at all. I guess when I told him cost was a concern and I had an idea of what it should cost for such a job he couldn't inflate the price so he left me high and dry. I should have know when I saw him pull up in his new loaded white Mercedes SUV. He wasn't getting several auto payments from this job.

Job competed in one day. Showed up on time .

Our problems could have been huge. Glen diagnosed both issues properly, and in both cases it was good news, and not as serious as it initially looked. Glen was always accomodating on dates and times of service, and arrived on time, every time. He was neat and professional, and communicated in a no nonsense way that made it easy to understand the issues.

Dan came and gave me an estimate the day after I called him and the estimate was right on the money, even though he ran into some interesting 'old' wiring and lighting. He showed up on time and with a smile on his face. Pleasure to work with and the completed work was awesome. His dad is just as pleasant and knowledgeable. Will have them back for future projects. Dan and his father came and were wonderful! They did everything we needed and gave us an Angie's list discount. They were efficient and even cleaned up after themselves! We are going to use them again for some bigger jobs!

The whole experience went exactly like other customers described... Mr. Santana was here 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment and everything was done with the utmost professionalism! Mr. Santana absolutely knows his profession and we will be using his services in the very near future.

Awesome. Dan was incredibly responsive and was able to stop by a day earlier than expected. Our septic high water pump alarm had turned on three times in the last few weeks. The septic company had replaced the float and thought maybe the circuit breaker was "stuck", but this didn't solve the problem. I contacted Dan based on his reviews. The best thing was that he suggested running an extension cord and trying that until he could get there - assuming the pump was fine and it was a wiring problem. No one else had suggested this and we kept having to "conserve water". He got to our house before we even had a chance to run the extension. He quickly diagnosed the problem, repaired it, and did a few other things according to my husband. Then, he texted me to let me know the job was done and followed up on the service call. Very, very professional. A big plus to me, he is a licensed Master Electrician in good standing.

Great!! Dan Santana and his assistant arrived a little before the scheduled time and worked diligently until they finished. They were friendly and courteous. I was impressed with their professionalism and plan to use them again for another job in a few months.

I originally contacted Santana Electric because I needed an electrician to certify that there was no know and tube wiring in the walls so I could have some installation added. Dan Santana came out on a Saturday afternoon to give me an estimate, and I inquired about the other things I was looking to have done. I decided to have everything completed in one day to save time and money. Dan and his father came out on Monday, July 1 to complete all the work. Because this is a 100-year-old home, they encountered a few roadblocks along the way, and spent much longer than they intended, but they charged me exactly what was originally quoted. The ceiling fans work wonderfully (especially in this crazy summer heat and humidity), and they look nice too. I have a few other minor electrical projects (replacing outlets, new bathroom light fixture) that need to get done sometime in the future, and I will definitely call Santana Electric for those projects.

Dan and Juan hooked up my hot tub with a GFI Box. They also put a timer on my pool pump, and replaced my kitchen light fixture. They were professional and very courteous. The work was done very well. I would highly recommend Santanna Electric.
