He was diligent in tracking down the culprits and restoring the computer's operations (and my sanity). The price for several hours' worth of his diligent work was well worth it.

Description of Work: I have used Fast-teks three times-- to uninstall my desktop and to set up my new laptop. November 2012 Dave moved everything downstairs and this May Josh removed a virus and house cleaned my computer.

Description of Work: I called Dave at Fast Teks to call about some computer repairs that needed to be done I was impressed immediately with a fast response once contacted I then, presented to Dave the issues that I had- and he assured me that he could easily correct them A date for a home site repair was set up in less than 2 days- very impressed When his technician, Josh arrived- I went over the problems as mentioned to Dave, and Josh, who already was informed of them I was a little nervous, as I had already used 3 professional services and each one used- only made more problems for me. Josh assured me that these could be fixed; They entailed: 1) A deleted CD Burner/Player- by Mocrosoft during one of there many "Updates/Configurations" 2) Sutting down constantly which had not occured until recently 3) The need to move data/information to allow allow both drives to operate properly 4) The need to be able to download data to an external drive in addition to another couple of things that Josh recommended. These 4+ things wer every important as the previous Service- took my computer to his shop for a full day and only created more of a problem in that I lost information causing it to shut down very quickly each time it was turned off He as so bad that I remember that he kept telling me to "leave the Computer ON" The problem was---I couldn't leave it on because they made the problem worse in that It Automatically Shut Down and on and on

Description of Work: I had a Laptop with Viruses and a Desktop that was slow running. Dave Thibedeau was the tech. He was quite thorough, made some sugesstions for more memory, cleaned up the laptop viruses and ordered some parts. He'll be back at the end of the week. So far, I'm pleased with the service.

Description of Work: There were two separate occasions for me to use Fast-Teks. The first incident was due to my computer crashing. Before I called Fast-teks, I had called two other computer service providers. One couldn't see for 5 days and I am still waiting for the other to return my call. When I contacted Fast-teks they were at my house within the hour. The mother board had died on my computer. Josh(?) was able to retrieve my data and downloaded it onto another computer. As a result, I was without a computer for less than a day. However, I was informed the computer to which my data was downloaded would not last for long and to start looking to replace it. Throughout my search, I spoke to David a couple of times who provided me with very helpful information. I purchased my computer from Fast-teks and had them complete the installation. So far, I am very pleased with what I purchased. It has only the software I need and the hardware can be easily upgraded if needed. I would recommend Fast-teks to friends with no hesitation and will call them when I need assistance in the future.

Description of Work: System rebuild with data transfer from prior system. My old, reliable desktop got much older and much less reliable overnight. I had depended on our son for computer help (free, but with attitude), but he wasn't available. Not wanting to lug it down to Staples or Best Buy. I checked Angie's List and contacted Dave Thibodeau at Fastteks. One of his staff came to the house the next day (was available the day of the call) and the problem was found to be a particularly nasty virus. It was brought to the shop. The virus was resolved, but then other issues with the computer components came up. Dave described the issues, I decided to have them addressed as well, and they were.

Have used this company previously and would choose them again for any PC related issues. I have referred this company to a number of friends and they too have good results.

Description of Work: Analyzed DSL Internet connectivity problems, Some of them on our end, some of them with our provider. Advised us and helped us switch providers when we asked to do so. Replaced out-dated equipment. Solved other problems with my computer which is beginning to show its age.
