We use them literally every single year. They come every spring to check and service the air conditioning and they do the same for the furnace in the fall. They are a great company. They are fabulous. They are one of the few places that show up exactly on the day and time they say they will. That is very rare in this area of Cape Cod. I called them two years ago on a Saturday of a holiday weekend for a problem with our air conditioner. I thought they would come out the following Tuesday and they came within a couple of hours. They were terrific. All of the different service people they had sent to our home have been more than polite and neat and clean. They are very efficient and are in and out quickly. They are cordial and friendly. We can't say enough good things about them. If they ever go out of business they will have to adopt me.

Our kitchen remodel went very well. Winslow provided a really good design, as well as service and product that were exactly what we wanted and on par with other estimates we received. They had sound advice and were efficient and punctual. We are very happy we hired this company for the job, especially because they could do all facets without hiring sub-contractors.

The story from start to finish is that we couldn't have been more pleased. There were many people at various levels involved in the work and everyone was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and so customer oriented. The job took 3 days and we had no interruptions in service. We would highly recommend E. F. Winslow to anyone and they get an A+++ from us.

I was experiencing poor airflow on the second floor and asked Winslow to come out and take a look. The first guy went up to the attic, inspected the air handler/duct work and stated that the installation of the plenum and duct work needed to be redone. He pointed out that the plenum made an immediate turn coming out of the air handler and some of the duct runs were unnecessarily long. I could see what he was talking about and agreed. He then said that a separate estimator needed to come to the house in order to write up an estimate for the work. Fair enough. The estimator came a couple of days later and proceeded to explain that my entire handler set up and cold air return was the problem. He went on to inform me that the airhandler needed to be moved and new cold air ducts needed to be channeled through the wall of the upstairs rooms. About a week later I received an estimate in excess of $10,000 - without ever addressing the plenum of duct runs. The ability of this company to ignore what appears to be a simple and direct fix in favor of a complete reworking of the upstairs HVAC was ridiculous. I will never call them again.

I haven’t decided which company to use yet but he was professional and his estimate was fairly thorough. The estimate didn’t include everything that we discussed but I think they would have done a good job if I had asked them to refine their estimate.

EF Winslow was very professional. They gave us literature on the models of furnaces that we could install and provided some choices. They were very punctual and called back in a timely fashion when I had questions along the way. It appears that they are a quality operation and our furnace installation went smoothly.

The person threw tools on top of my rose bushes. I had to go out and explain that the tools should be put on the lawn or the dirt, but should not be put on top of my roses. He did not ask for me to turn on my hose so that he could wash off the septic hose before pulling it out of the septic tank. He just took the filthy septic hose and threw it on my lawn. He then wiped his feet in the snow before coming into my house to hand me the bill. It seems to me to be professional, he should have changed his shoes before coming into my house. If I have this company again, I will be prepared to state to the company that I expect the operator to be professional.

Winslow recaulked the pipes, it was probably a spider web/family that had clogged the pipes so the water could not pump out of the house. They were on time, called before they arrived, were quick and efficient. I use them all the time now for any heating or a/c problem. Down the Cape where I live many times service providors don't show on time or even show. At least I know they will come and come back with no problem if something is not right.

Very professional, excellent workmanship, finished in a timely manner. Actually completed the job under the estimate.

I had no hot water, logged onto Angie's List and chose the plumber with the best reviews. When I called the receptionist was very helpful, advised me to check the installation date of my water heater because the part may be covered under warranty and promptly made an appointment. The repairman was at my door within one-half hour and the repair was complete in the next half-hour. It was a defective thermocouple and, sure enough, was still under warranty so I only paid for labor. I would definitely call them again.

The contract went very well and was administered in a professional manner. The workmen were knowledgeable in what they ere doing, had the proper tools and were extremely punctual. The materials were ordered in a timely fashion and once the job started it was completed on time and on budget to a very high quality standard.

We called Winslow for an estimate. A salesman promptly called us back. He came out and did an estimate on the cost of replacing the oil furnace with a gas one. They coordinated the job with the gas company who needed to install a gas line. The crew arrived on the date that they committed to us and installed the furnace in one day. We were without heat for less than 8 hours.

Very good experience, even if painful in the hip pocket.

They were terrific and responsive. They did a quality job and cleaned up after themselves.

They are dependable, courteous, they stand behind their work, and are available 24 hours a day including weekends.

On 1/12/2009, Winslow charged my credit card $159.00 for a service call they never made. When I called to advise them of their mistake, the person I spoke with "Tom McGrath" was insistent that a technician had been at my house on the evening of the 30th and had checked my furnace but that found it could not be repaired. Only after I threatened to file complaint did I get him to listen. He was rude and very unprofessional in his conversation with me and only made the situation worse. After checking with his tech, he called me back and said that there had been a "miscommunication" between two different techs but still insisted a tech had been in my house and looked at my boiler (never happened!) but since they were not able to repair, they would credit my account with the $159.00 they had originally charged. Now, I happen to know that Winslow charges for all service calls regardless if a repair is made or not, because in the past I had to pay for a service call, even though they had not been able to effect the repair because I had marked my calendar incorrectly and was not at home when the tech came to my house. I will never do business with Winslow again and would never recommend them as I believe they have very dubious billing practices. ($159.00)

The plumber came on time, listened to my description of when/where the leak began and worsened and listened to my idea of the cause of the leak. I helped him "trial and error" to discover the cause of the leak. He had to remove a portion of the ceiling (horse hair and plaster) but got must of it into a bucket and cleaned up the rest with a brush and dust bin that he brought. He quickly replaced with busted plumbing with the least disruption to the tiling (and therefore least expensive). He was professional and social and pleasant to have work in the house.

I have used this company for the past ten years. I feel that they are a reliable company. They will do the work the right way the first time. You get quality results.

Both my toilets had a high pitched "whining" noise for a few minutes after flushing, so I called Winslow. The service man told me my toilets were very old and my 2 options were to replace the guts of each toilet or buy new toilets that would use much less water. I chose to think about it for the time being. I paid a lot for a few minutes of advice, but they have a good reputation for their work.

They are really good and very professional. Other people said the job was too complicated, but they did it without a problem. They showed up on time and were easy to work with. They knew everything they needed to be able to do the job. They did it all without any hassles.

E F Winslow Plumbing & Heating came out fast and got our boiler running. This was on a Sunday, and we were very impressed with this company. There were no hesitations or complaints on their part about coming out. We were so relieved that this contractor was so willing to help us out.
