Description of Work: There are several items that he didn't do correctly, and we had to pay for someone to correct a few of them. The lighting is still faulty, there are different types of railing tops, some flat, some rounded. Carpentry work is not squared and plumb. He told us they would make sure all nails and screws would be removed, and a couple of years later, I am still finding them in the yard, some found with my lawnmower. Screws at the end of ramp only partially found wood, and came loose. Not being a carpenter, I did my best to fix it so my disabled son didn't catch his wheelchair as he came and went. He didn't get a building permit until the city put a stop work on my son's much needed ramp, porch, front wall, door, and window.

Description of Work: We arranged to have him come to my house for an quote, but it fell through due to the Friday snow storm. I have been trying to reschedule the appointment multiple times and he never returned my call. I have since then found another worker through word of mouth and it is going fantastic!!!

 + 0 moreWe found this company by using a Groupon. It did take a while for them to schedule the job because of how many Groupons they sold. However, once we agreed that the job had to be done soon, the owner, Joe worked with me to pick a good date. It required some warm weather as they were going to install ceramic tile on our breezeway. He came over to estimate the job and checked with us beforehand to get the color of grout we wanted. We discussed the prep work that was needed and he agreed to have me do that to save me money and him time. Joe came on the day he said he would and worked all day. The job took longer than the Groupon allowed for and we agreed on a reasonable cost for the extra time. Joe and his assistant were friendly, professional and did a beautiful job. Joe was knowledgeable about the job and was able to give me good advice for the prep and for the final cleaning. The breezeway looks great.
Description of Work: Installed ceramic tile that we had purchased on a cement slab in our breezeway. The job took parts of two days because they had to come back the next day to do the grouting.

 + -1 moreAs stated above, I had arranged for work to be done on my property and had Home Facelifters come out to see what they could do.Because of their situation and mix-ups in communication, that work was not done. I then left the state. In the meantime, Phil's son contacted me to try and resolve the situation for me. I did appreciate this as before I had left the state I needed to get a lot of work done on my house and I was not able to accomplish that because I was waiting for someone to show up. Through some back and forth phone calls, the issue has been resolved and I think that the main thing is that this company did make a large effort in order TO resolve the problem and communicated with me about the situation. I understand that events do happen that prevent everyone getting satisfaction and I appreciate that Home Facelifters was willing to make that happen for me.
Description of Work: I had called Home Facelifters this past summer and someone came to look at the work I needed however through some mix-ups work was not able to be done before I left the state. Then the company endeavored to follow up with me and went out to my house to help me with the job I originally needed done.

 + 1 moreThey said they do a little bit of everything so we didn't have to worry about calling different contractors. They do small, big and medium jobs. Whatever we seemed to need them for it worked out for us pretty well. Their price was fair and the quality of work was good.
