Description of Work: They installed a new thermostat and replaced a broken heating unit. They were punctual, professional, and pleasant, and went out of their way to get the work done before Thanksgiving. I have hired Keyes Electric before and would definitely do so again.

+ -1 moreSteve showed up early to give me a quote on a Saturday and was able to email it to me the following Monday. Based on the response from a co-worker with an electrician in the family, I was told that the quote "sounded right" for the work I needed done. Steve assured me that the work would be done cleanly and with very few holes made in the walls; the other electrician that gave me a quote told me there would be holes all over the place... a "mess" in his words. Once I called to hire Steve, he and his crew were out within three weeks and finished in approximately two and a half days. The work was clean as I expected, and was all done exactly as I had asked. He even installed some fixtures that I asked for after-the-fact, as well as a light and switch the was not part of the quote. He brought up an additional circuit to the attic in case I decide to add wired smoke alarms - I was not charged for this, nor did I ask (a plus).
Description of Work: I purchased a home built in 1922 that was wired for that decade - i.e. knob & tube wiring in the walls and to most of the fixtures, with some BX here and there, but a completely updated kitchen. With the exception of the kitchen, all of the outlets were two-prong (no ground), and there were a number of spots around the house that needed some additional outlets. For safety purposes, I wanted all of the knob & tube removed and replaced with updated electrical. I also requested some light fixtures and switches for some outlets that did not currently exist in the house. The house is two stories plus a full basement and attic (both of which are unfinished).
