"My furnace was blowing hot and cold air. First trip to the house was to diagnose the problem. New part (Flame sensor) was necessary. Second trip to the house for repair could not happen because technician brought part that was incompatible. Third trip to the house replaced the part, but system was still blowing hot and cold air. Fourth trip to the house was cleaning rust accumulation in tubing/pipes, which apparently solved the problem. Too many trips to the house. I can not help but wonder whether a bad flame sensor was the actual cause of the problem not, since replacing it alone did not solve the problem."
