Description of Work: I called to get a quote. First, the company requires 50 to show up and give you a quote. The plumber looked at my project for two minutes and then asked to sit down and chat out the project. Then he asked about how much I want to pay, and would it matter if the project cost less or more. I said I wanted a quote as I was paying $50 dollars for it. I asked for it to be written up. He said the $50 was only for a verbal quote and the written quote would cost a few hundred more!!! Meanwhile, it was hard to pin him down on even a range for the price of the project. At first he said the project was going to be over $1000, but anyone could say that. Then only after proding from me did he say the project was going to cost between 3 and 4 thousand. The whole proceedure, particularly about asking me for my price, rather than just giving me a price, as I had paid him, really turned me off. I don't trust this company because of it and will not hire it.

Description of Work: They came out and evaluated our water heater, which had a rusted pipe and was spraying water onto our basement floor. They were able to tell us that it was still under warranty, and gave us 2 options for repairing it. We chose the full tank replacement (recommended) option over the rusted pipe replacement, which turned out to be the only option once he started dismantling the water heater, and found the rust went into the tank itself. They removed, replaced and reinstalled the water heating unit within 4 hours, which was far faster than expected.

Description of Work: Allen has done some good work albeit pricey. I called for an estimate on an expansion tank for our furnace and he said the materials alone would cost $300-600. Shocking since another plumber/heating specialist quoted about $100 in materials. As good as their work is, it's not worth the exorbitant cost. You can find better help elsewhere.

Description of Work: Michael Allen was responsive, professional, and intelligent about the work we needed done. We were desperate with sewage backing up in our home due to tree roots. He reworked the entire plumbing with a minimum of mess. It's rare to get someone this good.

Description of Work: DIAGNOSED OUR FAILED HEATING SYSTEM. FOUND TWO PROBLEMS --- LOOSE WIRE CAUSED ALL FLOORS TO FAIL (FIXED FOR FREE), AND AIR IN SYSTEM CAUSING NO HEAT ON TOP FLOOR (WE'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE). HEATING DIAGNOSTIC (PLUS REPAIR) WAS $150. BLEEDING THE SYSTEM WAS $100. WAS POLITE, PROFESSIONAL, AND ON-TIME.
