The service has always been very good. They are very nice to work with and very trustworthy.

The first time they came they rebuilt a faucet. The guy was very easy to work with and was very knowledgeable. He also did a minor repair on a toilet as well. The second time they came it was to replace a flapper in a toilet and they still charged the same amount and I feel the price was very steep. It was a very easy job for them to do and they had the materials to do so but they wanted to charge way to much for the work to be done. I paid this amount and there was an additional item that was a little item to fix and they wanted to charge an additional $250.00 for the work even though it smaller. I did not have them do the additional job. Both of the guys for the work did great work. I will shop around to see what price I can find in the future. I would call them though as they do reliable and good work.

This was an emergency appointment on a Saturday. They had the water heater available and did the replacement under warranty. The guy who did the work was very nice and friendly.

I asked them for an estimate and they would not give me one without a $50.00 charge. I also asked them for a list of the manufacturers that they worked with and they would not give me any idea of who they worked with.

I have used them on many occasions and have always been more than satisfied with the results and the experience.

I've used Allen Plumbing for years. Yes, they are expensive, but this is an area where I believe you get what you pay for. My service window was between 8-10 a.m. and Aaron rang my doorbell around 8:15. I knew he was coming because Adam had called from the main office a few minutes before to let me know he was on his way. Aaron was professional, friendly, and thorough. I originally called to have one toilet and one sink fixed. When Aaron noticed the second toilet was also having issues, he brought it to my attention, explained the repair and added cost, and confirmed that I was OK with both. He had to leave my house to purchase some needed parts, and made the trip in record time. Despite the extra work and offsite trip he still managed to complete the job efficiently, and left the work areas as clean as he found them. I would not hesitate to use Allen Plumbing again.

Smoothly. The Allen employee was knowledgeable, well-spoken, and polite, and the work cost far less than a competitor had quoted.

Aaron extremely punctual and courteous. All costs prepared in advance and work performed as stated.

FYI: I posted this same review on Yelp.com I'm a landlord, so what matters most to me is reliability: top-quality work, reliable schedules, and reliable prices. I know I'm going to get all three from Allen Plumbing. To me, it's a lot like finding a good car mechanic: I stick with the one who has proved himself, not the guy where I think "This tune-up might be okay, but I know there are better mechanics out there. I might as well try some other auto shop next time". Four years ago I decided to replace two ancient oil furnaces. My oil supplier quoted a low price for installation of two modern oil-burning furnaces; then I realized he was low-balling me on installation so he could keep selling me expensive oil and a yearly service contract. Allen Plumbing said "here's our price for oil burners, and have you considered natural gas instead of oil? You've already got gas hot-water heaters. Either way is fine with us". Then Michael walked me through the trade-offs, and he was obviously experienced, and well-informed, and made it easy to understand (I went with gas). The installation was painless. This was after heating season so it didn't happen overnight. But I always knew when to expect them at the house, what the delivery schedule would be, and when the job would finish. I had the quote up front, of course, and it didn't change at all.The installation was painless and the operation has been flawless. I'm sure that the hardware will live out its expected lifetime and there won't be any trouble with it or with the new gas lines. Two years ago the rains overwhelmed my little sump pump and my basement flooded. Allen Plumbing sent a guy, a truck, and a bigger sump pump within an hour of my call - I felt like a valued customer. Recently I had Allen Plumbing put in a supply line for a new gas dryer in the basement. Michael said that the code now requires solid metal pipe for the dryer exhaust, and he had to replace the tinfoil-covered hose. Because I'm a landlord, I never question things like that - I trust Michael, and I don't ever want to say to an insurance company, "Yes, we had a fire. But my plumber never said I needed to change the exhaust pipe, so can't you be nice to me just this one time ..." At the same time I had a direct-vent Franklin stove put in my living room. Michael's guy did most of the work, but Michael did the final gas-line hookup and he checked every feature of the stove before he called the job finished. As always, the price was clear, the crew was skilled, the communication was clear, and the work is problem-free. I always call Allen Plumbing. They've never let me down.

Allen Plumbing did an excellent job, very professional from first inquiry to installation. Provided quotes on different tank makes, allowed me to choose the brand of my choice. The job was not an emergency replacement but Allen Plumbing performed the job within days. The service tech who installed the tank was very professional. Hot water tank is working as expected.

Over the weekend I noticed a steady leak in my water heater. On Monday morning I contacted Allen Plumbing and Heating Inc and within several hours they had someone at my house. The installation was quick and I was charged the exact price I was originally quoted. The installer was professional and friendly, and the overall service was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Submitted a service request via the web site; received a prompt follow-up call and scheduled an appointment. Home office provided updates on plumber's ETA (they were on time). Plumber very professional - explained all the options, answered all my questions, gave an estimate before doing the work, had all the necessary tools and materials ready to go, was meticulous (drop cloths, slip on covers for his work boots, etc.) and helped move furniture back into place after the work was done. I haven't had to hire a plumber or HVAC service company before (that's why I said "n/a" to the price - I don't worry as much about cost as I do about establishing a relationship with a competent and trustworthy company). Based on the work they did, I'll call them in again for plumbing and heating work.

I found this company on angieslist. I callerd them to ask an estimate for installation of a stacked gas dryer/washer unit in a closet where the water, gas, and vents were already in place.The installation was going to be a little bit difficult due to space constraints, so i said that it would be ok to move the plumbing a little bit to create more space.This estimate process looked more like a house renovation estimate than a simple appliance installation.I was quoted $ 2,300, for two men for most of one day. surprised, i asked how much i would paty if the work happened to be finished much faster than anticipated. I was told that would be a job well done, for the same price.I did not select them. another plumber did an outstanding job for $ 200. this company is trying to take advantage of customers who appear to be able to afford a large bill. Stay away from them.

Unfortunately I've needed a plumber a few times lately for several different items - leaking dishwasher, toilet replacement, garbage disposer repair. Fortunately I know to call Allen Plumbing. They're extremely professional and thorough. They're excellent at diagnosing the problem and offering the best, most cost-effective solution. I'll call them again in a heartbeat, though I hope I don't have to.

We called Allen Plumbing when we brought our newborn home from the hospital and discovered that while we were gone the hot water heater had stopped working. They called back promptly to a late-night emergency call, but in talking to us made us realize we could wait until the morning and save the after-hours surcharge. They called when they said they would me in the morning, came promptly, resolved the issue, and took the time to look at a couple of other potential plumbing problems with my husband that we had questions about after that was done. Overall we were very impressed with their professionalism and level of service in a situation when we were very frazzled and tired.

We have used them in the past and they are our plumbers. They are extremely professional and are very easy to work with. They always answer their phone. They send people out very quickly and also clean up their mess. They are very tidy and they go through everything with you. It is a good value for what they do. Everything that they have done for us has stood up well. They are amazing. They always figure out the problem and they fix it. We have had different guys come out. The guy who works at the office is extremely friendly. He always remembers who I am. They are just a great company.

First trip out, Allen Plumbing came out for a high water bill, the City said I needed to hire a plumber to exonerate my systems to make sure that there was no leaking toilets, etc. Allen plumbing came out and found nothing...I wrote down the meter number overnight and then when I woke up in the morning it had moved, so I turned off the toilets one-by-one and eventually found that all 3 of them had problems. I contacted them and let them know that the $180 I had spent to have them look at this the first time was money I basically threw away, so they "offered" to credit me the $180 to fix the 3 toilets that had problems with leaking. This time, Michael Allen came over and not one of his underlings. Michael is a sharp guy, but I always leave feeling like I've been give the runaround. He has a fixed price for his work, so that to me, means that if you're paying him to fix a toilet, it gets fixed. He estimated about $800 for all of the toilets...I just wanted the problem to be dealt with, so I reluctantly agreed, he was going to credit me back for the initial visit, so that would be about $200 a toilet...he then left and came back an hour later with some parts, he proceeded to fix the toilets by installing new flappers, which seems relatively easy and not worth $200...well if that was the end of the story, I'd be really happy. I paid my money and I got my toilets fixed, even if it was too much. I like Michael, he's a pretty sharp guy, and one of these toilets is ancient and I didn't know how to fix it myself, but the other two, I definitely could've put a flapper in those two...and also one of the easy toilets which he put the new flapper in, was never fixed, it continued to leak and leak....and run up my water bill. Michael offered another credit towards installation. He offered to install a new Toto for something like $1000, with a $200 credit. That seemed ridiculous to me, as that is $800 for a $450 toilet, that means he's still getting (with the credit), $350 for installation. I quoted other places and they said it would be around $250 to install a toilet and that's without any credit...I've paid a lot of money for these 3 toilets and I got 2 working with new flappers which cost about $30 in parts and about 3 hours in labor (if you count going to the suppy store)...I spent close to $800 for this, not a good value. It almost feels as if I said I was having computer trouble and I came over to your house and said I'll fix it for $200. Then you agree, and then I say okay, give me the $200, then I reboot your computer and the problem is fixed, that's how bad I felt. Down the rabbit hole... I won't deal with them again, even though I think they do some good work here and there...I still have yet to install a new toilet and the toilet is in a bathroom that is seldom used, but I'm about to embark on another journey with a different plumber.

Called a week before we needed them. They were extremely professional and attentive. We were having new kitchen appliances delivered and needed them to come out the day before delivery to disconnect all the appliances and the gas lines. They called that morning and told me that they were running ahead of schedule (unheard of) and asked if they could come 30 minutes early. The service guy was very knowledgeable. In fact, thanks to his attentiveness and skills, he discovered that our gas line into the kitchen was not properly aligned for the make and model of gas range that we had being delivered. (No thanks to the appliance sales company who came out and never bothered to tell us that the range wouldn't fit). So they immediately scheduled another service call (at no charge) for the morning after the delivery of the appliances so he could rework the gas line to work with the new range. Overall an amazing company. Professional, caring and extremely flexible. I would recommend them to anyone.

I've been using them for years. They are down to earth and very responsive. They will not force you into getting services that you do not need. They are just wonderful and they have been wonderful in the past. I will definitely use them in the future. Their price was reasonable. I feel comfortable with they working in my house and if somebody else comes with the lower price I wouldn't accept them, rather I will go with little higher price.

He was very knowledgeable, and spent a lot of time helping us decide among the various options open to us. He really seems to know his stuff, and I was very confident that he was doing a good job. On the down side, his price for one of the things we were considering was a bit higher than another estimate we got. I think he charges a bit more than others, but I think the quality of the work is high.

Very well--appointment was scheduled at my earliest convenience; problem was quickly diagnosed; options (and price ranges) were presented and discussed; water heater was replaced and hot water available again within 5 hours of first arrival. This is the second time I've used Allen, and I will definitely do so again.

Absolutely first class in all respects, except rather pricey. But you get what you pay for... Expert advice, courtesy, cleanliness and execution....

Everything worked out fine. I think they're a little pricey but you get what you paid for and I'm pleased that they know what they're doing. I've had other plumbers look at my boiler before and they weren't as confident about what they were doing so the price for Allen Plumbing is worth it for me. I've referred this company to others as well. I am happy with them.

I don't remember how much I paid because my wife did the payment. They were very professional and always returned my phone calls. They always came back after themselves. They were just easy to work with and the work was very well done. I worked with a guy named Adam. He was extremely friendly. They follow up with a phone call and make sure everything is still working and fine. It's the same with the chimney people that Allen's Plumbing recommended. They are friends with the chimney people because when I called them for plumbing, they hooked me up with the chimney people. The gas company had dropped the gas; we had to get the permit before they turned it back on and that was just a big mess. Allen's Plumbing was amazing with helping us to get that back on. They got us the permit, made sure the work was done, and took responsibility for a company that actually did the work. I don't think a chimney repair place is there in Angie's List.

I liked that they got it right and got it set up to react to the thermostat unlike the previous plumber. They are expensive. They have always come when I contacted them. I would use them in the future.
