They did a good job, and were very trusting to let me pay how i wanted. They were great to work with and i will use them again.

I had a drip in the bathroom sink. He showed up on time at the time set up to replace the faucet. He gave me a price of $200 which I thought was high but was fine, because I needed it done right away. When he got into the job he said he had to go to the store to get a certain part and that the price would now be $415. It took him 45 minutes to go to the store that was less than a mile from the house. The work was alright but the price seemed very high and he tried to sell me on more work than I needed done, actually replacing the sink and toilet completely and the toilet is fine. For a very slight drip it cost me $415. I will not use this company again.

Overall, I was pleased with the work. Both the estimator and plumber who did the job were punctual, knowledgeable, and polite. They wore boot proctors in the house and cleaned up after they were done. My only complaint was price - though not crazy expensive, they were not cheap.

They were efficient, friendly and incredibly helpful with giving advice.

He came out the next day after we called him. He did show up on time and he was able to complete the job in about 45 minutes. He did check the pipe and made sure that it was draining water 3 times before he left. I was pleased with that. He called me down to show me one time before he left. I thought the price that he charged was good, too. They charged me for one hour's worth of labor.

I did think that their price was a little bit more expensive then I thought it was going to be but they did an ok job on their work. I guess if it came right down to it, I would hire them again.

They did a very good job on the work that they performed but their prices were a small issue. We were hoping since this was the second time that we hired them, they would come down on the costs but that really wasn't the case. It turned out to be a bit more costly then the first job that they did. I would hire them again because their work is very good.

Our furnace was not heating properly and the serviceman came right over when we called. He quickly diagnosed the problem, the furnace had not been hooked up correctly in the first place, and he was able to repair the problem quickly, I highly recommend their services, he saved us from having to replace the entire system.

I had a new stove for my tenant downstairs & needed my stove re-connected to the gas lines after being disconnected for new flooring installation. Allen Plumbing was able to give me an appointment to have our stoves hooked up the very next day & performed the work promptly after giving an estimate of the cost (we also had to have one of the gas pipes moved to accommodate the new stove).

Another plumber had told me that the repair would require either ripping out the shower or the kitchen cabinets to access the plumbing, so needless to say, I was extremely pleased with Anthony and James' resourcefulness and thoroughness in getting the job done in minimal time, with maximum convenience, and at a (relatively) good cost. My original interaction on the phone with Sherri was very pleasant and as I was not able to contact any other referenced plumbers, I was pleased with her responsiveness to my problem. The crew showed up at the time they were scheduled. James and Anthony expertly and enthusiastically diagnosed and repaired the plumbing, while keeping me informed of every step along the way. They also made sure to return the condo to a tidy state when they left. I have no qualms recommending this company to friends and I will be sure to hire them again for future plumbing needs.

My pull-out kitchen faucet as leaking badly and had folded my undersink cabinet. I called Allen and spoke with Michael who expained their service charges and arranged for a 2:00 p.m. visit. Their service plumber arrived promptey and arranged to order a Grohe pullout faucet that was a substaintial upgrade from my old Kohler faucet. This was on a Friday and he told me the faucet should be available by the day after the upcoming Monday holiday. Sure enough, it was and I made an appontment for 8:00 a.m. the following day. Right on time, Anthony arrived, installed the faucet, which is marvelous, and a new soap dispenser. I am very pleased by the service, the courtesy, and the eficiency of this small project. Allen's price is not cheap, by any means, but I will certainly use the company again. Three cheers for Allen Plumbing.

I scheduled an appointment for 8:30 a.m. on a weekday morning and the contractor cancelled 30 mins. beforehand saying two employees did not show and the weather was cold. I scheduled another appointment for the following Monday at 4:00 p.m. and the contractor called to cancel at 4:30 p.m. because he had to drive his girlfriend to the airport. I understand canceling once, but twice is not considerate and extremely unprofessional (I had to take off from work to be back at home).

Overall, it went well. The work seemed to be done very well. The only issue was the cost. I feel we might have gotten a better price through someone else. They charge $40 to come out, $100 to diagnose the problem, and those prices are put toward the work if you choose to hire them. If not, you're out the money. The price of the new hot water heater was probably a bit more than other companies, but the work was well done, neat, and the plumber was helpful and professional. I left him keys and he let himself in and out without a problem.

I came home at midnight on a Friday to find my kitchen sink pipes had frozen. I called Allen Plumbing the next morning (Saturday) for an emergency house call, and they returned my call within 15 minutes. Mike showed up within an hour and fixed the frozen pipes in about 10 minutes. He was friendly and kept everything clean. The price was a little high (I received another bid for $300 for the same job after I had agreed to hire Allen's) but their timely response saved me from paying much much more money to repair a burst pipe. And Mike gave me helpful advice to keep my kitchen cupboards open next time it gets cold, so hopefully I won't need to call them for the same thing in the future. But I saved the number on my cell phone so I can call them for any other plumbing help I need.

I spoke with Michael on the phone in the morning when I discovered the toilet was not filling. They were able to come over the same day at 2 PM as promised. Michael and his assistant James were friendly and professional. The job turned out to be bigger than I expected when we discovered that my main shut off valve inside the house wasn't working! They even contacted the city DPW for me to have them shut off my water supply from the outside main so they could do the repairs. It took them a little while to figure out why the water line was blocked, but they were able to clear the line of the muck that had somehow gotten in there. They were able to finish all the work in 2 hours and cleaned up my bathroom afterwards including replacing all the cleaning supplies and medicine under the sink. I am very impressed and will be contacting them to do future plumbing jobs in my house.

They returned our initial phone call quickly and showed up when scheduled. The information the plumber gave us was reasonably helpful. One problem was that he left the water line to the toilet loosened, resulting in a continuous drip. It was easy to fix, though annoying. They cleaned up reasonably well.

The owner was 2 hours late for apt. Made an apt for 4:30, called me at 4:45 and rescheduled for 5:30, arrived at 6:30. Then needed to borrow pen and paper to make notes. This estimate will cost me 40 dollars. Though it wasted hours of my time for a 5 minute consult.

Excellent, fast service. Called at 7:30am. A plumber came within two hours. Found and replaced cracked pipe. Was finished before 11:00 am. Seemed knowledgeable; was concerned that I should be happy. Will definitely use them again.

Sherri was great in scheduling the initial appointment. I called one day earlier to see if they could come out that day. She called back with a cancellation. The installation went very well with clearly quality parts.

We didn't use this company because they wanted to charge us $1,200.00 for the work. Nine years ago we had a heater installed for a cost of $500.00, and while we know that prices rise over time, this seemed a little ridiculous. We also didn't even get to talk to a plumber, or have one visit our house to assess the situation (the heater was leaking a small amount, and we thought it might have been as simple as tightening a pipe, but we weren't sure). Another plumber on the list will do the work for $850.00. They are both rated "A", and this seems far more reasonable.

The toilet problem escalated into a crisis that required immediate attention. I had called another A listed company but they couldn't come until the next day. I reviewed Angie list comments and chose Allen on the basis of similar kinds of jobs. Sherri was very pleasant, and was able to get someone to the house within an hour so we would not miss work. The bathroom sink also needed a faucet replaced, which we had not asked for in our initial call. He took care of that for us also. Pleasant, professional, and neat worker. I can't gauge if the price is reasonable, but it looked to be in the same range for similar work done for other Angie list members.

Allen plumbing was the best plumbing experience we've had. The plumber took and extensive inventory of our issues, helped us decide the best strategy for fixing them, communicated well with us during the course of the work, completed it in as timely a fashion as he could, given the age of the house and the complexity of the jobs. He was also the tidiest and most punctual trades-person I've met. I couldn't be happier.

Would have welcomed a friendlier, can-do approach.

Very responsive and professional. Good diagnostic talents and fixed everything. Rebuilt the outdoor faucet which saved me from replacing it. Everything is working fine and I have confidence in the work. A tad pricey, but I am happier getting a solution that will last over the long haul.
