Everything went well

Verizon is good. We have the basic package. The quality is as we had expected it to be so far. The man who came to connect us was very punctual and very nice. He was very professional.

From the moment I called Verizon, considering a switch from Comcast, they did everything they possibly could to win us over. The phone representative was able to get me an installation appointment a couple days ahead of anything officially available, by talking to his supervisor about our need to have service ASAP. He offered me a better monthly deal than the one advertised, AND gave us $150 credit on our account (which covered the installation costs and the full first month's charge.) The technician who installed our service came right on schedule, and was both friendly and efficient. And the internet service we ended up with has also been notably more consistent than what we had previously with Comcast, which used to cut us off intermittently and return a minute later. About a month later, Comcast knocked on our door and offered to beat Verizon's price, but we're sticking with Verizon anyway. Too late!

The cost includes texting, GPS program, internet, e-mail, and picture messages. I have unlimited minutes, and as far as I know, I have unlimited data. I have not used their customer service recently, but every time I have, they have been helpful and responsive. I would recommend them to anybody. So far, my reception is very good. I do not have any experience with dropped calls or service issues. Everything has gone smoothly.

I bought my cell phone on line. So, I just used their website. The connection is all right. I have chatted with them on line and they were polite. Quality is all right. I have had questions and they have been responsive. I will continue to use them.

Verizon is alright. I don't have any big problems with them and we continue to use them. They have good coverage for cell phones.

When I initially signed up for the deal with them it happened to be a better deal with the total price being for the three separate services I had before. At this point I do not think their prices are a big deal. I pay the bills online but I feel I am being overcharged for their services. They are not great but have made repairs fairly promptly.

I think they are a good company. Their service is good and they are very helpful over the phone. I haven't had any problems with them so to speak.

I am not sure what I would recommend about Verizon at this point. We have been using them for about 6 months or so, and it's certainly an improvement over cable. The quality has been good. They were prompt when they did the install, but we haven't called on them since. We will continue to use Verizon.

I use them because the others in the family also use them. So, it works out cheaper that way. I am doing better with their plans than my colleagues, who are using another company. I have not had any problems with the phone or their service. They were good when I went to purchase the phone.

They were too expensive. I am changing services today, and will get the same bundle package for much less with the new company. I would recommend Verizon to others, if they could afford it.

The service was free. I have had them for ever. They are responsive. What I dislike about these kinds of services in general is that it always becomes a sales call. It is pretty good, and they are responsive, but sometimes, being responsive doesn't mean that I am entirely happy with them.

They are a good company and their service is generally good. They are a little pricey.

We were with another company and we switched to save money. We also got better internet. They actually came to our door and let us know that FIOS was being installed on our street. That's why we made the jump.

It's very reliable. My overall experience with them has been good. I plan to continue using them in the future.

I don't have much good to say about them. I've had a few run-ins with them where they've tried to change my service and upgrade it; they try to trick me into paying more. They are not very responsive. But basically the service they provide is excellent. I would continue to use them in the future if I needed to, but just because of a lack of a better choice.

I don’t have a contract with them. They bill me on a monthly basis for all the services. Most of the communication service providers use marketing tactics to keep the customers from discontinuing with the service. I stay with Verizon because they own and know the wires. They know the system. I wouldn’t go to a cable provider for telephone, as I happen to be in the cable TV business. I think that Verizon has the greatest footprint nationwide, for self-service. My system is minimally ever down. However, I have a large issue with the data services and they are being very difficult on addressing the issue. I’ve also had a problem with the billing and they’ve been very difficult about providing the resolution. If you wade through enough menus, you can get through to somebody from Verizon. If it is for the home phone service, I get a local representative from my area. If it is cell phone service, then it is questionable where the representative is from. If it is cellular data service, then there is even a smaller pool of people addressing the issues. If it is internet service, I can usually get to a smart representative. Being in the industry and understanding the technology means that I can wade through a lot of nonsense that it is thrown at me. So, when they fail to address my issues properly, I ask them to connect me to somebody who knows what he is talking about, before I call their manager. I don’t allow them to lie to me and put their company in a bad situation. I understand and I try to ask the right questions and do not allow them to put their foot in their mouths.

I've had a great experience with them so far. They have responsive customer service. I get better reception. I'm a very happy customer.

We've had it for 2 years and we haven't had any problems with the internet, it's fast enough. The kids play games and it works well for them and it satisfies all of my needs. I feel like the high speed internet is well priced, too. I'm pleased with them.

We've had our land ine for 8 years. We like this service from Verizon. We get caller id and along with the line for free. The phone line is clear and the price is good. We've never had any problems with them and they've been very satisfactory. We like it.

We have a family plan with Verizon that has 5 phones. Their service is pretty good. They give us the basics and that's good but I'm not all that excited about how expensive they are. I don't feel like they're more expensive than any other company but I think that's a lot of money per month in general.

He spent a lot of time preparing the computers to accept Verizon's encryption, first removing their original encryption. He explained to us the use of everything. Verizon transferred the (5-year) e-mail address book from our previous provider to the new Verizon internet service, but only for one user. He also explained how to use the very complicated remote controls, which were programmed separately for each TV set. A tutorial is available on the TV sets for instruction on how to use the many buttons on the remote, which can perform a lot of very sophisticated procedures. However, I several times caused the TV program I was watching to disappear while experimenting with these controls. Luckily, my husband has an engineering vocabulary capable of reading about these things. Other instructions were given to us in a handy card-file box.

The service was generally all right, but it was their tech support that was unbearable. I must have spent 60 hours on the phone with then over two months. They repeatedly gave the wrong instructions for configuring hardware; their tech support people treat you like you couldn't tell a mouse from a doorknob. They only know to read the scripts they're given -- even when you've given them facts that conflict with their scripts. They tried to sell me hardware that they're supposed to provide for free. After 5-10 calls, I got bumped to someone who knew what he was talking about. But he sent me faulty hardware and then he couldn't tell me how to configure it. I moved to another big Internet Service Provider. I'm not a big fan, but their tech support people are much easier to work with and generally seem to know what they're doing. Verizon DSL. It's not worth the trouble!

Our internet experience with Verizon is so-so. It was difficult to get it hooked up in the beginning. There were lots of problems in getting the modem to work and the service connected. The customer service people were professional and eventually we worked it out, but the process was cumbersome. Now everything works for the most part, but at $38/month, I think we could probably get a better deal. Is Verizon worse than other internet providers? Probably not. They are a little on the mediocre side, but then again, it seems like most internet providers are a little on the mediocre side.

Seems to work very well from Sharon MA. I know with DSL you need to be close to a node to get fast reliable service, so it will probably vary from town to town. Price is great compared with cable. Home installation was easy.
