Description of Work: John repaired a patch on my kitchen ceiling that was damaged from a bathroom leak. He contacted me within 24 hours of first contact, showed up next day for estimate and job was done the following day. He is punctual, personalable, good at his craft, keeps the work site clean and communicates the job progress. He did an excellent job that matched current design that you cannot tell there was ever any damage. I would definitely call him for another job and recommend him to my friends.

Description of Work: They came to give us an estimate on our kitchen ceiling. It was damaged due ice build up on the roof from the winter. He said that we didn't need to replace the ceiling and then proceeded to tell us how to fix it. We truly appreciated his professionalism and honesty. He very easily could have told us something we didn't need to do in order to get the job. If we do need a plasterer, we will definitely call him.

Description of Work: This company was hired to put up new walls and ceilings on the entire first floor of my home. They finished ahead of schedule and exceeded our expectations. They were neat, punctual, and communicated well with us. They even were kind to our children and chocolate lab. I own another property next to the one they worked on and asked them for a quote when they were done. John came right over and did it that day for free. I then needed additional work done in another room after some contractors left. I called them and he came and did the job in 20 minutes after I called him and did that for free as well. They take great pride in their work and customer service. I have used them in the past because of the beautiful work they had done decided to use them again. I am very happy with the results. His swirl ceiling is gorgeous.

Description of Work: My upstairs consists of two bedrooms, a dormered old cape, built in 1880. The guys came in to install 3/8" drywall over the paneling that has been in there since I bought the house and give it a skim coat of plaster. It is difficult for me to say this because of how well it came out up there, but since the work was done last week I've had to replace MY 2 vacuum cleaners, which they used on the drywall dust and debris from THEIR work, had Stanley Steemer in to professionally clean my 2 year old's carpet, the hallway, and the area rug in my bedroom, and had to hand scrub the bare floor over the last 4 days because they didn't put drop cloths down. AT ALL. Over the course of three days. I now have to spend money on carpet replacement for the upstairs, which was not in my budget. As a single parent, budgeting is everything. I was horrified at the state in which they left my upstairs, that they used MY things to clean THEIR mess, and have subsequently had to spend over $500 to replace my ruined vacuums and pay a professional to clean up what they SHOULD have. The walls came out very nice, with that I'm pleased... but I could never use them again, unless they incurred the cleaning costs afterwards. It's not just the work you do, it's how you do it that matters too.

Description of Work: John cut out and replaced two plaster sections in our ceilings--in the kitchen and bathroom. They look great, and he didn't rush through the job at all. He put on several layers and waited for them to dry. He also patched our bedroom ceiling and didn't even charge us for it, since it was only a patch and he didn't have to cut out the plaster.

Description of Work: I contracted J & M Plastering to apply a plaster skim-coat with skip-trowel texture finish all ceilings and walls of 1200 sq/ft third floor apartment in New Bedford, MA. Total of 5 rooms, plus entry way/stairs and 2 closets. I provided materials including: 14-50 lbs. bags of plaster, three gallons of bonding agent and water/electrical hook-ups. They provided two personnel with tools and talent. All work to be completed in two days.
