He was going to clean our chimney but he clearly recognized that it was hardly ever used and did not need a cleaning.

I would and have recommended him.

I bought the deal and Up Yer Flue came and was very honest about the flue saying it was clean enough to wait until next year. So he did some tuck pointing on the chimney and add a cap. Work was done well and I would definitely call him again next year for the cleaning.

Owner accommodated my schedule but had to cancel. Was polite and professional.

Did as promised. Came on time and did as promised. He gave me a price on the phone and charged what he had quoted. He inspected the chimney and found what he described as a very minor problem. He said that it was not anything that had to be done but something I might want to consider in the future.

It went very well. The guy was great and very personable and very professional. Actually we ended up in a situation, it was an old condo and a new purchase for us and he told us the chimney was never used so it did not need cleaning but he did the inspection and basically told us we could get our cleaning at the end of the season for free. I thought that was big of him. It wasn’t his fault but he actually didn’t have to much work because it turned out that it was already clean. He was very honest. We have the certificate for cleaning and we haven’t used it as it is not time for us to get it done just yet. He contacted us back quickly and we scheduled it quickly. He wasn’t trying to sell us anything we didn’t need. I trust to have him back.

The provider came and inspected my chimney and advised to not do the service till I get an inside liner so as not to damage the mortar joints. He was very friendly, knowable and honest.

I called Josh and set up an appointment for him to come and check the flue on my fireplace. It wouldn't close, and at times I had a cold draft coming in the house. I also wanted to ask him questions regarding a gas stove insert and why I needed a liner. Three years ago, we had a micro-burst and the cap flew off my chimney. The chimney firm that replaced the cap told me I needed a liner if I planned to use the fireplace. Well, there was no problem with the flue, I just didn't turn the knob far enough counter clockwise to close the flue. Of course, I felt like an idiot! Josh answered my other questions, telling me that I had a terra-cotta lining and did not need a liner to use my fireplace. He cracked a window, checked the draft and told me it was fine to use. I then asked him how much I owed him. He told me nothing, he was happy to help. Needless to say I was very happy I called him. Not because he didn't charge me, but because of his whole demeanor. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and just a nice man. I need work done on the outside bricks of the chimney. I will definitely use Josh. I would highly recommend him.

He is unable to do the work for 2 months so I had to cancel the deal. He was very nice to talk with and it was such a good deal. I would wait but I need the work done sooner.

Josh came by early and inspected both fire places and gave needed information. We have never had a fire place before so he explained how they work and common things that can happen when used. He cleaned the vent pipes and resealed all the piping. Excellent work and explained in lay mans terms to a novice. I highly recommend using Josh for any maintenance or issues you have with your fire place.

They were very nice. They stayed in contact and tried to get a time scheduled but they were too booked.
