Description of Work: Josh started with a visual inspection (and help of his phone camera and flashlight) of our wood fireplace chimney that had very small amount of creosote accumulation, and concluded that it was in excellent condition and did not need a sweep at this time. He gave thorough advice on how to start and burn clean fires, the best wood to use, how to store the wood, etc. He provided a maintenance and service report. He was very courteous, very knowledgeable and I am not sure another chimney sweep company would not have done a sweep anyway and charged a lot more. Overall very satisfied, will call him again after burning the remaining 1/2 cord of wood.

Description of Work: Josh is fantastic. All the reviews I read proved to be spot on. No up-sell or cross-sell, just honesty. We've been in our house for 15 years and never had the chimney swept or capped. A few weeks ago, a bat flew in the house from the chimney. Went on AL and saw a $175 prepay from Up Yer Flue. I told Josh I was looking for a sweep and cap. He showed up on time and said the chimney was incredibly clean and didn't need a sweep (how many other companies would say that?) and showed us the video he took of the inside. We went ahead with the cap, and Josh just applied the $175 prepay towards it. Very Fair. Very honest.
