Description of Work: I received three estimates and Salem Overhead Door, Co., was the in the ballpark. I chose Salem Overhead Door because of their professional attitude when I called them on the phone. They explained everything from the beginning clearly and concisely. |The day they showed up to give me the actual estimate, it was snowing pretty hard, but they showed up on time. I was impressed. |I would recommend Salem Overhead Door, Co., to anyone looking to repair or replace a garage door.

Description of Work: I called and they came out the next day, looked at my garage door and agreed it needed to be replaced. He explained everything and we looked at catalog and selected a door, set up a date to have it installed. The installer arrived on time installed the door, took the old one away and cleaned up. I was very pleased with everything.

Description of Work: Someone came to fix our decrepit garage doors that were half off the track and extremely unsafe. The doors themselves were fine but he put them back on the track and replaced a few things. He fixed everything that was broken and the doors work super smooth now.

Description of Work: The two men who installed my new garage door were very professional. They explaine and answered all my questions. After the installation they cleaned up all excess materials, took the old door away and swept my garage floor. Very very pleased.

They helped us select the right style of door for our home, taste and budget, which turned out to be a large wooden door that we opted to stain ourselves and have them install when we were ready. They gave great advice on how to approach the process and were so on top of scheduling the installation that they called us when we didn't call them for a few weeks. Melissa and Bill were particularly thoughtful about details; Melissa when we were selecting the door and Bill when we were discussing the installation and accessories. Both were very good at articulating what we wanted when we couldn't quite explain it ourselves.

+ -1 moreI really liked their service and the people. They showed great customer service. The people were so personal and they did a great job with everything. I did use them before when I had to change the lock on the door. They did great then as well. That is why I went back this time. They came here when they were supposed to come and they were very pleasant. They really do aim to please you. I even had the owner come out and check out the job. He was very willing to come out. I feel that I could call them anytime for anything. They are always available. Even the office staff is polite.
Description of Work: I had a high quality, insulated garage door put into my single car garage by Salem Overhead Door. They also installed the automatic door opener with the remote control to open and close the door as well. The door also had a light on it.

+ -1 moreTHEY RETURNED MY SECOND CALL VERY PROMPTLY (I THINK THEY MUST NOT HAVE GOTTEN THE FIRST MESSAGE FROM THEIR ANSWERING SERVICE). THEY GAVE ME A CLEAR ESTIMATE AND OVERVIEW OF THE WORK. THEY MADE CLEAR THAT HALF OF THE COST WAS PARTS, SO THAT I KNEW I WAS PAYING FOR THEIR EXPERTISE (WHICH IS WHY I'D CALLED INSTEAD OF DOING IT MYSELF). THEY ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY CHARGED LESS THAN THEY ESTIMATED.
Description of Work: REPAIRED BROKEN SPRING AND PULLEY SYSTEM ON ONE SIDE OF A DOOR, ALSO REPLACING THE OTHER, MATCHING OLD ONE ON THE OTHER SIDE.
