Bob did a great job he is very honest and a great guy I would not hesitate to have him work in my house alone or while their. A great experience.

On the day he was scheduled to come at 9 am, I got a call in the morning that he had been in an accident the day before, had hurt his back and would contact me when he was better. I hope he is well now. I have not heard from him. I waited for 2-3 weeks before contacting a different handy man. He was very prompt in returning my calls prior to the scheduled appointment. Since then I have not heard from him.

A better grade would have been received with the completion of request.

His prices were very reasonable. He was willing to do whatever we needed around the house. We would absolutely use him again.

Bob is a very nice guy who can turn his hand to anything. He is professional and on time. I think his prices are reasonable. I would recommend him.

He carefully explained what the possibilities were and what I might expect under each scenario. He fixed everything beautifully and it still looks terrific a year later. The price was very reasonable. He's much in demand and it can take a number of weeks before he can get to you but he's worth the wait. He did other work for me several years ago and was equally great. He's helpful, has ideas on other ways to handle the problem and his prices are not expensive.

The job required removing what was there, taking off, and then re-installing downspouts, cutting 8' clapboards to size, cutting and fitting pvc board, and clean up. Bob did the work when he said he would, and kept us informed along the way. He was quick and neat and did exactly what we wanted, and did it well. He cleaned up and left the area neat and tidy. The job came in under his original estimate. This is the third job Bob has done for us. The other work included painting and installing new ceiling light fixtures, all done with the same level of professionalism and expertise. We will definitely call him again. Bob always returns calls promptly and his estimates of timing are accurate. We think he is terrific.

I have worked with Bob Merlin at Merlin Handyman several times to do various repairs around my home, including painting two rooms, patching a ceiling, fixing a broken doorbell, and replacing glass in double-hung windows. He is responsive, sets up times for estimates and work that fit my schedule, and works quickly and well. I will definitely work with him again on future projects.

Bob has been very responsive - from responding to my initial voice message to our first meeting. He showed up on time so we could discuss the projects that needed to be done and let me know when he would be available to do the work. Bob is a pleasure to work with - all projects met or exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to working with him on all my small projects around the house.

I called Bob in April. Within a week he visited and gave me an estimate of 8 hours, $320 plus materials to do the fix-up job on my house. It was a little more than I expected but seemed fair for the time estimated for the jobs. Apparently he's quite busy as it took a month before he was available. We ended up scheduling a work day about 6 weeks after the first call. Bob arrived on the morning we scheduled, He brought everything necessary for the jobs. I thought he was a deliberate, methodical worker. No problems developed, and he finished the job in two hours less time than estimated. The repairs look nicely finished and complete. I asked him to paint the hard-to-reach shingles and he ended up painting all of them which I appreciate. There was a lot of cutting and fitting involved with the shingles and I'm glad I didn't try to do it myself. I was happy to see that he billed me for the time it took to complete the job which meant it was $80 less than estimated. I will definitely consider Bob next time I'm looking for a handyman.

I hate to praise Bob because he'll be in even more demand, but the fact is, he's terrific. He comes when he says he will. He does what he says he'll do and he does it well. His prices are reasonable. What more could one want?

They came when they said they would and gave me an estimate. That's when I found out they do just tile work.

I called Merlin Handyman to install a railing in the hallway of a triplex. Bob promptly responded to my call. He met with my brother and provided an very reasonable estimate, and completed the work just a couple of days later. He did a wonderful job. His workmanship is impeccable. My brother described him as very professional ("Bob really knows what he is doing! He's a great carpenter.) I already left Bob a message of appreciation and told him I really look forward to working with him again:)

Called and left a message asking him to return the call about some work I needed to have done. The phone call still has not been returned and it is over 24 hours later.

Bob's was by far the lowest. In light of that, I was skeptical about the quality of work he would do. I didn't need to worry -- he did a perfectly adequate job on everything, and better than expected on a few of the items. I appreciated that he was honest about his limitations; he downplayed his painting and electrical abilities, but did fine on both of those tasks. My one negative comment is that it took a very long time to get everything done. He did the work in drips and drabs over the course of more than a month. But he was always prompt in returning phone calls, and he showed up when he said he would. You can probably find people who will do a nicer, more polished job than Bob on most tasks, but I don't think you'll find a better price/quality ratio for everyday jobs.

Awesome. Showed up on time. Was thorough and clean. Explained as he went. Made sure he tested everything before leaving and was quick, reasonably priced and made the whole experience stress free.

The handyman sanded and repainted our rusty outside porch railings. He gave us a prompt estimate, came when he said he would, did a good job and the price was the same as the estimate, much lower than a professional painter. I would definitely use him again. An altogether satisfactory experience.

My previous DIY experience with hanging pictures was on drywall, so the plaster walls of my home here in Roslindale intimidated me. I found Bob Merlin through Angie's list. I contacted him in August, and scheduled service for September. He followed through by phone contact, and we established a specific date and time. He did a great job hanging about 30 pictures (and 3 plates!), taking about 4 hours to do so. The quality of the work was excellent, and in my opinion, the price was very reasonable.

He does a really job. He really knew his stuff and had a lot of experience. I told him exactly what I needed done and he did it.

Bob was very thorough, on time & his follow-up was impeccable. He really cares about the work he is doing & will not stop until it is complete & done well.
