Description of Work: Painted and repaired wall in hallway. Replaced window screens and various other small jobs inside and outside of the home. Gave Bob a list of things I wanted done inside and outside the house. He gave me an estimate and a time frame and ended finishing sooner than expected. Showed up when he said he would, which is very important to me. Felt very comfortable with him in my home and did everything I requested and was done well.

 + -1 moreBob did the job over a number of days but his price was very reasonable and the work was done well. You can barely tell where the window was. Bob was apprehensive about working the with tiles because he hadn't worked with them before, but he figured it out and did a nice job.
Description of Work: I needed to match replace house tiles in a space where window was removed on second floor to match existing asbestos tiles and then paint them.

He is careful and takes his time. He was willing to jury rig a shelf for me. I appreciated he was will to do it quick and dirty.
Description of Work: He did small chores including putting up a shelf and painting two rooms. Price is per hour.

He initially said the work would only take one day, but it ended up taking three, which was due to a mutual miscommunication (he had put together playsets previously that had predrilled holes and precut wood, which mine did not). When he realized the scope of the job, he stayed the extra days to finish the work and was extremely reasonable about negotiating a fair price for the work. He even came back days later with stakes to attach to the structure to make it more secure, which he refused to let me pay him for. My children love the structure, and Mr. Merlin's work is extremely high quality.
Description of Work: Mr. Merlin built a custom playset for my kids in my yard.

He figured out why the previous marble threshold cracked (which had been installed by another person) and took measures to prevent the problem from occurring again. Bob probably hung at least 20 pictures throughout my house. He was meticulous in his work, and I loved that! I will ask him to come back for additional work when the need arises.

 + -1 moreBOB WAS TERRIFIC ONCE I ACTUALLY GOT HIM TO COME. THE PROBLEM WAS GETTING HIM TO COME. HE TOOK A FEW DAYS TO GET BACK TO ME, AND WHEN HE DID, HE WASN'T AVAILABLE FOR A FEW WEEKS. THEN HE HAD TO CANCEL OUR FIRST APPOINTMENT BECAUSE OF AN INJURY, AND HE WAS 20 MINUTES LATE TO OUR ACTUAL APPOINTMENT.
Description of Work: BOB WORKED ON MY KITCHEN SINK AND ON MY TOILET. HE REPLACED THE WASHERS AND HOSE ON THE SINK, AND REPLACED THE ENTIRE INNER WORKINGS OF THE TOILET. HIS WORK WAS ABOVE REPROACH.
