Gary Ferzoco Electric

Gary was seriously backlogged when he called the same night I purchased the Angie's List deal; stated that the online data had requested persons contact him before purchasing the deal as he had been backlogged for a couple of weeks. He was ultra polite and allowing that my needs might take a while to be met, or he would refund if I couldn't wait that long. I decided based on his presentation that evening and the fact he called ASAP to explain the situation that I'd give him a try. We set a tentative date/time 2wks out. However, the following morning he called to see if he could arrange to swing by the house and have me show him what work needed to be done so he could be prepared for the appt. He also stated he wanted to show me his credentials. I had him come by the following morning. Having 2 licenses from the state myself I immediately recognized the legitimacy of his licensure and also his liability insurance. He was thorough and quick, but always stopped to answer questions that I had. I felt confident when he left that the work would be done well, but wished it could be done sooner. He said that if anyone cancelled he would call me immed. A few days later someone cancelled for the following friday so we moved up our date/time. He did the work professionally, cheerfully, and explained the Mass. state codes as regarded what work he was doing, involving me in the process at several points. He got the 2 outlets perfectly placed and level. He tightened all the loose bits and replaced a light bulb for the ceiling vent. He patched a hole he had cut for an outlet that we agreed wouldn't work b/c he discovered water pipes behind that piece of wall. He found 3 code violations and explained HOW they were violations when checking my fuse box. He is returning this week to address those code violations. Hire this guy. He's worth it.

I would definitely call Gary again if I need electrical work done. He was the first contractor (ever!) to show me all his credentials and proof of insurance voluntarily up-front. I appreciated his methodical approach to problem-solving; there was clarity in his thinking and his assessment of the problem. Even though we suspected it was most likely a straightforward problem (just replace the GFCI), he started with the fundamentals to make sure it wasn't anything more serious. In the process, I learned enough about what he was doing that each step made sense to me. Gary is a likeable, personable guy, and he cleans up after doing the work. He was late to our appointment but called to tell me he would be late. I don't have a problem with that, because things crop up unexpectedly sometimes in life. I just ask that people are considerate of my time too, which he was. Also, he came on a Sunday morning (even though it was not an emergency) because he was going to be in the area and knew that if he didn't do it then, I'd have a long wait. All in all, a positive experience. I would definitely recommend Gary to anyone looking for a good electrician.

In addition to being very prompt in arriving to the job, Gary did a superb job on fixing the problem. What I appreciated the most was the methodical way he approached the problem and informed me of what he thought the solution(s) could be. When it was apparent that it was a part issue, he did investigation on the part (which is no longer manufactured) and found the perfect replacement/substitution. He has a very personable style and was very considerate in cleaning up after he was done. In addition to the great work on the lighting, he also looked at and fixed another unrelated electrical problem at no additional charge.

He showed up the first time seemed very nice showed me his license and insurance coverage. Said he had to get supplies and would be back in a few days, called and said he was sick, than called and said he would be there the next morning, bottom line never showed up

I called Gary and we scheduled for him to come out to give us an estimate on the project. He was on time and carefully explained the entire process. He also took pictures of the box and the area where the box was located so he could replace in the same area. We accepted the estimate and he came out a few days later to start the job. He started early and completed the project within the time frame so we would not be without power which was great for us. He then returned the following day and labeled the panel and made sure there was power to all outlets etc. in the apartment. We are thrilled with our new panel and not having to deal with those old fuses. Gary did a great job, he was thorough and very considerate. We would definitely use him again!!

I made an appointment on Tuesday and had to rush home to meet him at 3:00. He called me about 3:30 to inform me he wasn't going to make because he was stuck at another job. So then we rescheduled and gave him the option of morning or afternoon. He chose the morning because of prior commitments in the afternoon. So we agreed on Friday morning at 9:00. He didn't show and I called him twice. He finally called me 20 minutes after 9:00 stating that he was sick and couldn't make it and to reschedule for Monday. I decided to refund the deal and to go with another more responsible company. I would not suggest him to anyone

I was able to get an appointment quickly. He came on schedule and completed the work without any issues. I was very satisfied and will call him again for future electrical needs.

Gary came over to do an estimate for what the work would involve and cost. Although the final costs were a little higher than he thought it would be, he was much more reasonable than another estimate. Gary is very personable and will explain everything that he needs to do and why. As others have written, he shows you all his credentials and is ready to answer any questions. I never felt rushed. I felt that it was important to Gary that I and always understood what was involved in the repairs and why. Also, as written before, he will always call when he is delayed, and that frequently happened. I think he tries very hard to be available to everyone, probably prioritizes emergencies (and mine weren't) and it causes delays and changes that he can't always control. One would need to be comfortable with this. Gary and his brother came to do the work. They both work very well together. They are very knowledgeable as they come from a family of electricians. They worked throughout the day, while, on occasion one would go out for any necessary materials. The final work is very neat and organized. They cleaned up and left the area better than it was before they started! A bonus, for me, was that when I showed Gary, during the appointment for an estimate, an overhead bathroom fan/ light, that was sounding horrible. He explained that he thought it was something that I might fix and really enabled me to venture into doing it myself. (He also thought I would be able to fix my doorbell but I was glad that he was around to actually do it for me. He didn't charge anything extra.) In the future, I would call Gary if I had any electrical concerns.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Gary and Greg were gracious, professional, fast, and detail oriented. Got all the work done within the time frame, and they went above and beyond to educate on what steps they were taking and why. I cannot recommend them enough, and would certainly hire them again.

It was fine. I luckily found an Angie's coupon for Gary in the best deals. It was an easy job, great price. Gary is a nice, personable man. Knows what he is doing, and is willing to spend as much time w/ you as required. I will definitely call him again if need be.

Not good. Never showed up for the appointment.

The electrician did not show up. In fact, I was never able to get him to come out. I had to hire someone else.

Gary was fantastic from start to finish. He was always on time and if he was going to be late (for as little as 5 minutes!) he always called. The work he did works and looks great. He figured out how to get lights where we wanted them and always called if something might not meet our expectations to go over options. A+++ work all around. He even let our dog out during the day!

BrightonJob went very smoothly. I got a little education in electrical wiring as Greg was doing the work.

i cannot say enough good things about gary other than; he is honest, knows his stuff, fully explains the cause and what he will be doing, listens to you and either agrees or tells you what he would do, tries to fit you in if you need the work done asap, in fact he contorts himself to do that, and he calls to make sure everything is working if he corrected a problem, and he always lets you know if he will be late or has to reschedule and explains why. gary is in great demand and he tries to answer every call, usually does, and get out to look at the work as soon as he can. all i can say is you may be frustrated that he can't do your work in a week or two but gary and greg are well worth the wait, just cool your jets and you will be happy in the end. my lights had been flickering, especially the kitchen, and after i showed gary the electrical box on the house exterior he immediately said it had to be replaced. i have had two electricians over the years try to figure out why the kitchen lights flickered and other things. they never even thought of, or looked at the exterior box. he did say that the kitchen lights did not have the correct whatsamagigee and he would put in the correct thingee which could be covered by insulation. since it cannot be raining or cold when the work is to be done we had to wait on the exterior issue but gary assured me that it would not present a hazard. gary is so knowledgeable i trusted his assessment and he was correct. from talking to people they told me that replacing the exterior box was a big and hazardous job (working with power company feed to the house). gary and greg did the work and i am unbelievably happy with what they did. the cost was less than my neighbor, an electrician, thought it should be. gary explained everything (i probably only understood the technical part 10%) that was going on and what he was doing and why. we scheduled all the other work and he and his twin brother greg came and did the work. gary was great telling what type of recessed lights i needed as well as where. we weren't sure about the dimmer so we agreed to wait until after i had lived with the lights for a while. the work was wonderful, they cleaned up well, and patched where they had to take out plaster to install items.

We contacted Gary for electrical services in our home. We had an appt set for a couple of days after contact with him to come by and look at the job. He had to postpone our initial meeting as something unexpected came up at another job that he had to finish. He postponed our meeting for a couple of days. His schedule was very full, so he came by on a Sunday morning. We were not in a hurry to get the work done, so the delay was fine with us. He also managed our expectations regarding time frame. After an hour of looking at and review our list of items we wanted done, he introduced us to his brother. If he got the job, his brother would be working alongside him. Both Gary and his brother are very professional, showing us their license at the initial meeting. Gary initiated the conversation regarding insurance and had proof of insurance faxed to us. We had a long list of items done, including converting a fuse box over to breakers, adding outside lights and electical boxes, removing wall sconces in three rooms with new overhead lights and ceiling fan, adding lights and electical boxes to our garage and basement, changing out dining room, kitchen and porch lights, converting outlets to GFCI (I think that is what it called), adding an outlet and exhaust light and fan to our bathroom, adding a light to our attic and changing out light switches. Gary overestimated the time that it would take to complete the job, but given the house was built in 1930 he anticipated there would be a few problems he would encounter. He takes the time to explain (very thoroughly) what he had planned for the day. He is very good at communicating changes, updates and his schedule. He was punctual (7:30 am on the dot!) everyday he was at the house. Would definitely recommend.

lGary is a professional. He calls IF and when he's running late. He doesn't leave you looking out the window, wondering whether he'll come. We installed a new electrical outlet put and upgraded others so that they'd be grounded. He worked quickly and skillfully and was always mindful of keeping the work area clean. Gary also presented his license and insurance documentation when he arrived. Insurance is important, but might sometimes be over looked by the home owner until it's needed. He's a keeper, as they say.

Gary's communication was excellent - timely and clear. He worked with me to find a date/time that was mutually agreeable even though my project required minor labor. He quickly completed all the tasks and gave me a a progress report shortly after the work. Gary is a consummate professional and I would be happy to hire him again.

It took some time to get the appointment but I presume it was due to the promotion offer they had issued which resulted in their tight schedule. We had a promotion for 2h of electrical service, we two qualified electrician worked for one hour 10min each for a total of 2 hour 20min of service. As the promotion was for 2h we paid an additional $40 for the remaining service. One electrician worked mainly on the repair work while the other helped us figure out the other electrical issues with the house and what we need to do, and then helped other electrician to finish the job. They are very knowledgeable and professional, and the promotional offers give you an opportunity to have the do some work and at the same time obtain a proper estimate of any additional work that you want done in your house.

When I called Gary, he was very apologetic that he would not be able to perform the work for a couple of weeks due to his busy schedule. Since he had such great reviews on Angie's List and it wasn't an emergency, I booked the work. I received a call from him a week or so after, and he was able to come earlier due to a cancellation. He performed the work stated above, was professional, thorough in explaining all that he was doing, and cleaned up everything after he was finished. I'm thrilled that I found Gary through Angie's list and feel totally confident in his work. Not only is he a great tradesman,but he is a super human being who is a delight to have around. I will hire him again for any other electrical work and wouldn't hesitate to refer him to others.

Overall, went great. We were not in a rush, so timing delays were a non issue for us, and frankly, had I wanted him to complete the work sooner, I feel that he would have made that happen. Otherwise, As across the board.

Very thorough in his explanations about why certain things will or won't work. While the outlet swapping didn't end up working out, I understand why and know what needs to happen in order to get it to work in the future if I want to spend the extra on it.
