This is the second time we’ve used Silmac. Joe really takes the time to work with us to determine the best and most cost effective way to get the outcome we want. He and his team are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They also work quickly and clean up at the end of every day and at the end of the job. No minor detail or request is overlooked, even after payment. We highly recommend Silmac!

Joe and his team did an excellent job with our basement! Joe is very responsive, managed all parts of the project very well, including permitting, solving new issues that came up unexpectedly, responding to inspector needs, addressing our additions to the projects, and trying his best to meet all our timelines. Even if things got delayed in some parts, it was very helpful that Joe was always able to communicate and keep us posted on where things stand. The pricing was fair, and I could trust Joe to provide good advice on the right services and materials to use. I recommend Joe for any home project and would be happy to use Silmac services again.

Coming from a long line of builders, I couldn't recommend Joe and his team more highly. I've worked with Joe on a number of projects he is the best general contractor I have ever worked with. He is professional, communicative, incredibly talented, hardworking, and above all an honest person and a joy to work with. I've never worked with a general contractor that I've trusted more, his prices are fair and he always solves for the customer. The bathroom looks incredible! The quality is exceptional and we get tons of compliments on it.

Silmac did a great job. The overall timeline was a little longer than expected but that was entirely due to the slowness of the city permitting department. Once permits were issued, inspections done, etc, Silmac's crew worked quickly and did a great job. We're very happy with the result!

Ive hired Joe in the past, he and his crew did an amazing job on my complete bathroom renovation. I was excited to work with him again. Overall, the job took about about 5 working days and its beautiful! It was completely custom built and Joe suggested adding a storage area which worked out perfectly. I am incredibly happy with all of the work and would hire again!

We hired Joe and his team to build a deck on the back of our home and gut renovate our kitchen. The final products look amazing and we’re very happy with the new spaces. Joe and his team did high quality work and were very friendly. These were our first Home renovation projects and we plan to hire Joe again in the future.

Joe and his team are awesome! I was interested in turning my larger laundry room into a full bath and my half bath into the laundry room. Joe was very easy to work with, responsive and supportive of my design. I asked for his advice on a lot of details along the way and everything he recommended turned out great with his years of experience. His team worked quickly but with the best quality, the overall turnaround time from first meeting him to complete was about two months. If I was not happy with something, Joe made sure things were fixed. I also asked for an accent wall and floating custom shelves which were not simple and they did an amazing job. I plan to continue to use Joe for other projects and highly recommend him for all renovation work. I truly am so happy with how the work turned out and I have my dream bathroom!

Joe's crew converted storage closet in the living room into work from home nook with built in shelves. Additionally, we had them relocate electrical from cans lights and install ceiling fans. Given we had rental tenants moving out and new tenants moving in, he responded quickly to the project. Only after a couple of days, the work was completed! He truly cares about his customers and is a professional in his work.

Joe's crew did our bathroom remodeling a year ago plus installation of washer & dryer about a year ago. Recently we have detected a gas leak in the kitchen where washer&dryer locate. I called him and he responded quickly. Only after a couple of days, he came by and fixed the leak! He really cares about his customers and his work.

Excellent! Joe at Silmac Construction was God sent. I am a Realtor who have lots of connections to contractors and other service professionals. Despite this, I could not find anyone able to take care of a shed roof and a leaning fence within a reasonable time frame (not having to wait for several months), in order to get a house in Everett to come on the market. I resorted to an internet search and called tons of people, most who would not even call back. Joe said he’d work on it, and that he did! Within a week, Joe had gotten us someone available on short notice, and the work was completely done - very well - within a few days of that. The sellers are relieved to have the work done, and I am elated that we can now move forward. Thank you Joe and Silmac Construction!

Joe and his team were excellent. The pandemic hit right as the project was starting, so it took much longer than expected, but none of the delays that occurred were Joe's fault, and he was responsive and transparent throughout the project. The final cost was in line with Joe's estimate aside from some scope changes that we agreed to in the middle of the project, and the quality of the work was excellent. Overall, I would definitely recommend Joe and SILMAC to anyone and would happily hire them again for future projects!

I hired Silmac construction to remodel my basement. They put in a three-quarter bath, kitchenette, and finished the rest of the basement. This included cutting foundation for full size windows, putting in a new zone for heating and cooling system, and all the plumbing and electrical work needed. They were very professional and did an excellent job. I have gotten many compliments on our basement and I will hire them again to do work on my house.

Joe is the consummate professional and a rarity for contractors. He is responsive, engaging, competitively priced and has attention to detail to deliver a quality product. He took our basement from foundation only to a great living/playing area with a wet bar and 1/2 bath. He was helpful on other unrelated projects and has an eye for the space where his recommendations from experience were helpful. Having someone who delivers a high quality result and is responsive is the gold standard. Would continue to use him for future projects and highly recommend him and his team

The porch was wood and had rotted out. Joe DaSilva gave me a reasonable estimate and his carpenter Francisco rebuilt the porch and did a beautiful job using quality materials that will require no maintenance. I also had repairs done to the shed where the supporting beam had to be replaced. Everything was done in a professional manner.

Joe was very professional, punctual, efficient, transparent. We are considering finishing our unfinished basement and Joe came to provide a quote. While we are going to hold off on the work until likely next year, I felt like I was in good, competent hands with Simlac.

Joe and crew met and dealt with numerous obstacles on our renovation in the North End - what ever could go wrong, did go wrong and they tackled each issue with patience and in many cases strategy that others would have just covered up and moved on. The unit has made a complete transformation into a safe, efficient and beautiful spot in the city to call home.

I loved working with Silmac Construction. They did an excellent job on the 1/2 bath plus other side jobs I needed improved around the house. They worked with me and helped me fully customize each part of the 1/2 bath while managing to always stay mindful of (and within) my budget. Joe and his team are honest, skilled, hard-working, and great to work with. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I called Joe September 30th 2020 and he came to look at my kitchen remodel project and then he strung me along for a while and finally a month later today told me that he was too busy and I should find somebody else. I wasted a month with him

The Silmac team was absolutely great to work with. They were very transparent throughout the whole process and stayed on budget. The project consisted of bathroom, bedroom, and living room reno, including blowing out exterior walls and the roof line. We are extremely pleased with our completed project, it far exceed our expectations. Would highlight recommend.
