S Ferro Plumbing & Heating

In November 2015 installed electrical tankless water heater WH 27,which was a wrong model for my placeerroPlumber insisted on this model,even though electrician was saying that it is wrong.I had problems with hot water,It took a long time to make plumber and electrician to figure out what was happening.After all i got another electrical tankless water heater WH17,what was correct for my place.Steven Ferro installed new water heater for free,how ever i ended up paying for 2 waterheaters.In couple months after S Ferro installed new water heater,it was another problem and i called Bosh technician Milne plumbing and heating.Those plumbers are the best they find a tape was left inside pipe.Now i have no problems with hot water and very happy with my WH17 water heater.

Steve's man Peter arrived just when Steve said he would, only some two and a half hours after we called and asked them to replace our shower's control/diverter valve. Steve had the good sense to have us email him a picture of the unit, so that Peter arrived with the proper replacement in hand. Peter was professional and quick, and went so far as to clean up the bathtub before he left. The next day the diverter lever failed on the second shower, and Steve was quick to have another of his employees come and replace the defective part, at no extra charge of course. I couldn't wish for a better experience and I absolutely expect to make Ferro Plumbling my got to firm for all of my house's plumbing needs.

I noticed a leak in the morning and they were able to come on very short notice (the same afternoon). The plumbers were punctual, professional and did a great job!

Steve was available to come on the day I had hoped and he was courteous and prompt. I had feared it was a leaky pipe but after he looked at our tub with old tile with gaps and also the access spot in the wall behind the tub (where blown in insulation was dry), he was convinced it wasn't coming from the tub pipes. He noted that the areas around the tub and shower were old and not sealed up so well and splashing or dripping from the shower could easily do it. He figured this out quickly and charged us nothing for the visit. I appreciated his knowledge and would call him again.

It was great. I called Mr. Ferro about 9am, he arrived about 11:30am, and the problem was fixed in an hour. It was a remarkable experience.

I discovered water in the basement at 6:30 am and called Mr Ferro shortly thereafter. We chatted at 7:30 am, he came by the house within the hour and by 11:00am his team was finished . His team were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves I highly recommend his services.

I called Steve on a Tuesday, left a message, and he called back 10 minutes later. He was able to come out as early as Thursday to replace a garbage disposal. He said he'd be at the house at @ 9 am and was there 5 mins before! Turned out to be less straightforward, as the builder of our house took shortcuts with many aspects of the house. Steve was kind enough to replace the disposal under our botched sink but also gave recommendations on how we can fix the sink until we can have it replaced. Steve was responsive, punctual, professional, and efficient (in and out in under an hour). He was also patient enough to tolerate my 2 yr old son getting into his tools and getting in his way. Would definitely recommend and hire him again!

Woke up to a broken water heater. Called Steven at 7:00 am and he was here by 9. The water heater was replaced by lunch. I am very happy.

The guys came to investigate the situation in the morning and were finished by early evening. They were punctual, professional, friendly, efficient and skilled. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The boss even gave me a ride to the commuter rail so I didn't miss my train.

It went great, and let me point out that although I gave a 'B' for punctuality, I had told Steve that any time after our original set time would be OK (he arrived just under 90 minutes after our appointment). I believe if you need him to arrive within a tight window, Steve would work with you. By the way, communications suited my needs, also: for original contact, I left a message around 3PM and he called back around 5:30PM. We discussed the potential jobs and he asked me to text my phone #'s/address. He was available the next day, but I wasn't, so he just asked me to contact him the evening before the appointment to verify I'd be home. Easy enough, and he contacted me with an ETA the day of the job, so another plus (too many service people just leave you hanging, wondering if/when they'll arrive.) After I showed him the jobs we needed done, he gave a verbal estimate, rounding down in our favor. He then called in an employee to help, as it would take quite a while to complete it all alone - the other guy, Andrew (I think) arrived quickly and started prepping the work areas while Steve left to get parts. They worked efficiently, cleaned up afterward, and Steve even cleaned out the faucet aerators in the kitchen and hall bathroom sinks (which I had not requested, he was just being nice, it seems.) The new garbage disposal is working like a charm, and we have not had any problems with the hot water heater. The dishwasher is quieter, too. We'll definitely call again when we need a plumber.

I let Mr. Ferro in and took him down to the basement telling him that the hot water heater was having some trouble. I had already told him this on the phone. He checked the furnace and found the coupler had worn out. So he changed it and then he checked the hot water heater and told me that the HWH was a six year model and it had been working for eleven years and should be changed before it stops working. I couldn't afford it as money is very tight so I've been keeping an eye on it.

The work was done professionally and very well. I'd use them again.

Steve was very professional on the phone and was able to accommodate my tight schedule. He sent out a very competent plumber called Derrick who kept us informed about the different options we had to minimise the damage that had already occurred from the burst pipe. Derrick was able to locate the source of the leak quickly, and performed the appropriate repairs. He took time after the job was finished to explain how best to avoid it happening again. Very good service.

Work was of good quality. Was not happy with the useless banter of the owner.

He came out after his normal hours and fixed our problem on the spot. His rate was very reasonable and he was very responsive. I would recommend him to others.

the guys were there promptly at 8AM like they said. Everything had been punctually coordinated with the supply house to have the inventory there almost simultaneously.

I called Steve Monday morning and he came that afternoon. He and Andy replaced the connectors and hoses for my 2 washers.

It was a beautiful Sunday with a bad plug in our main drain and a lot to do that day. I called a few plumbers to see who could come to service the problem. Steve got back to me and was able to send someone that afternoon. He actually arrived earlier than promised and got right to work. Within about 30 to 40 minutes he had the problem solved and gave us some pointers on how to approach the City to help avoid this in the future. And they were about 100.00 less than the last plumber I had perform this same service! They were great and we could get on with our busy weekend chores. I will absolutely use them again.

I had replaced the tank fill valve inside the toilet; in doing so, the water supply shut off valve began to leak. My request was to replace the water supply shut off valve. The plumber replaced the valve, the flex supply cord to the toilet, and the tank fill valve (that I had just replaced). After he was done, he told me the parts came to $75, which I questioned, as the same supply shut off valve he used goes for $20 at Home Depot. He said that he replaced everything, including the tank fill valve. And he had to use his flex supply cord because of the washer fittings (when I had an identical brand new item there already). I asked him to go through the pricing of materials, and he confirmed that he has a mark-up. All the parts he purchased were identical to what was available at Home Depot ($35 in materials)... which means his mark-up was ~100%. He explained that there were miscellaneous charges, like solder, and the like, similar to when you get your oil changed at a garage. He was a nice enough of a guy, was quick with the repair, but I felt that his mark-up on parts was unnecessarily inflated.
