Responded immediately to our call for a unit without heat in Boston. Located and resolved the problem on the spot. The techs were very educated and prepared for the emergency service we required.

Plumber arrived early and job went promptly - total success.

Our hot water heater broke on Sunday evening and by Tuesday morning Steve had replaced it for 50% the cost of a quote given by another company. Steve responded to my Angie's List request for quote within 1 hour and provided a quote over the phone which was great because I had already taken time out of work to meet another plumber for a quote.

Service was excellent. There was an initial delay from first contact, where it took 2 hours to return a call that was supposed to come in 10 mins, but very minor detail. Tech arrived and immediately proceeded to diagnose and begin to address the problem. Did an extremely thorough job to clean out sewer access, including diaper wipes, tampons, roots and other odd things people flush. Would absolutely recommend and hire again,

I contacted S. Ferro in a rush due to a sudden break in the main water line coming into the house. Steve answered right away, was very helpful by phone in guiding next steps, advised that I take pictures/video, and was able to send a plumber out the next morning. Pete arrived, was quite professional and knowledgable, and completed the necessary work. He communicated throughout and also waited patiently for the DPW to show up as the final step of the work. I am very happy with the work completed and service provided, especially considering the emergency nature. This was my first time using S. Ferro and Steve will absolutely be my first call the next time I need a plumber.

I have a few rental properties in East Boston. I've been using Steve for a new years and he's my "go to" guy. He always answers his phone or text and he tells you the true about what needs to occur. I've had a few issues where I needed a few new parts to boiler and then I had a relief value blow and water pumped out. Steve jumped right on it. He is located in Revere which is terrific. Highly recommend.

Steve showed up and walked me through the process of purging the air from my gas boiler/heating system pipes. It was a relatively easy fix.

Responded very quickly (same day), did excellent job of getting heating going again, reasonable price. Will use again in future.

We contacted Steven for a heater pipe repair we needed done quickly. He was on site within an hour and performed a fast assessment, repair, flushed and primed the system and was done within an hour of arriving, all for a reasonable price. He was able to show us that shoddy workmanship from another contractor was the root of the problem. Steven is a no-nonsense professional whom I would recommend highly. We feel very lucky to have found him.

We lost our heat. Texted Steve on Monday night & he arrived Tuesday as promised. He checked out the issue & told us we needed a new part. He ordered it & installed next day. All under warranty! If you need a plumber who you can trust to do the work & keep his word, Steve is your man!

We were having backup issues in our basement when we ran our washer machine and thought we might have a broken pipe under the slab. I called Stephen and he sent Rich out the same morning. After snaking the line, Rich helped us determine that we had some roots clogging the line further out toward the street than where we thought the issue was. He even took the time to clear out a shower drain we haven't used in over a year - glad to report we're back to a two-shower house! Stephen called after the work was done just to make sure everything was running smoothly - I definitely plan to hire them again for some work we have planned for the future.

The install and removal went well, priced as quoted. One problem, the plumber who fixed the unit required payment upon completion, but did not have an invoice. It took multiple phone calls and texts with the owner to get an invoice, Work was completed in Mid November, I did not get an emailed invoice until January 2.---invoice was dated January 2.

I called several plumbers, but none were available due to the increase in demand for plumber services in the area after a major storm with lots of coastal flooding and freezing pipes. The best thing about S. Ferro Plumbing and Heating is that they were the only ones who could come right away and fix the broken pipe. Sean and Peter (the plumbers) fixed the pipe and were about to collect payment and leave when I tested the hot and cold water faucets on the first and second floors, and there was NO hot water coming out of the first floor faucets. They went back in and corrected the mistake and then there was hot water again. They left all of the ceiling tiles that they had removed in the basement ceiling without replacing them. When I asked them to replace them, they said it was necessary for the air to circulate there. I think they were just being lazy. They contacted their boss (S. Ferro) who told them the charge would be $775 dollars!! For less than 2 hours work and one valve!! It is important that I have a receipt for the insurance claim. The insurance representative told me to keep all receipts for services I paid for in cash. When I asked for a receipt, they said the owner told them that he would email me a receipt. They took my email address and conveyed it to their boss. It's two days later and I have not received the receipt. I called the company and they did not answer, so I left a message asking them to send me the receipt. I told the workers that I had found S. Ferro on Angie's List, they assured me that I had been given the 10% discount from the Angie's List coupon. They also joked that I had received a Senior Citizen's discount (I am 75 yers old). I have no documentation, in the form of a receipt, of any of the charges or discounts for the services provided. Later I discovered that the workers had left behind a power tool that they had used to cut the pipes. I will be happy to return the tool to them when they come to retrieve it and deliver an accurate and complete receipt. I would not agree with the "A" rating they have received from Angie's List.

A plumber that works for Steve Ferro arrived on time. Diagnosed and fixed what he said. Price was reasonable. Would use this company again in the future.

He came promptly in the morning, right when he said he would. He looked at the toilet, and saw that it didn't need a replacement, since he could easily fix it, which he proceeded to do quickly. He just adjusted the rate of fill (I'm no plumber, so I'm probably not using the right terminology), and put in a new fill valve. Saved me about $400.

It went extremely well. I called them and within 1 hour they were at my property swapping out the water heater. The work was completed within 2 hours of me calling them. Highly recommended, very nice, responsive and helpful.

He arrived about an hour after the call. My water was restored in 30 minutes.

These guys were awesome! On time, professional, and so nice to deal with. My elderly mother lives on my first floor, and they were so considerate of her. It's hard to go without water for an extended period of time, and they worked with her so she would be minimally impacted. They were so respectful and cleaned up after themselves.

He was great actually. He came out to us. He was really honest. Any other person could have said, "Alright, I'll do it for you" and take your money, but he didn't do that. There was no cost. He gets all As.

They came in and readjusted it and it was ok. They were timely and courteous. The pricing was a little high, it didn't take that long to fix the issue and it was just a little high.

The problem was solved quickly and efficiently. I would recommend S Ferro to friends.

The process was very smooth and Steven is very friendly and easy to work with.
