They were very professional and timely. Kitchen backsplash and fireplace surround look great. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone.

Quality work at a very reasonable price. There were a few challenges with ordering the tile but overall the experience was excellent.

J&J Flooring did not seem too enthusiastic to take on a job. They said they wouldn't be able to do anything for at least three weeks, and that I should call back then. I completely understand if someone is booked, but the person on the phone didn't offer to schedule a time for an estimate, didn't ask any questions about the job, and was generally not that polite or welcoming.

The job went very well. We live in Medway which is 40 miles from Everett where J&J Flooring is located. Other service providers who provided us quotes (who were closer than J&J) wanted us to take the measurements and send them over as they did not want to take the time to come do this themselves. When Jay came out to take the measurements himself, I knew that this was a different breed of service provider. The quote from Jay was turned around very quickly (the folliowing day) and this was the case with all correspondence with Jay...very prompt replies, even on the weekends. Each day of the job, Jay and his installer were very punctual, they communicated with us throughout the demolition and installation, and they did a very professional, high quality job.

They are reliable and have open communication. We had a couple of issues and Jay handled them well, we were very happy with the outcome.

Overall J&J Flooring did an excellent job. The guys were very friendly, the level of service was excellent, the work was done very well, and the price was competitive. I would use them again.

The work went very well. Jair had already did an excellent job of installing the tiled kitchen floor so we were confident in their work. The work was completed to a high standard and in the time expected.

Overall it was excellent. They communicated throught out the process. Informed of each step and timeline. They showed up when they said they would, completed the work they said they'd do, and completed whihin the given time frame. Absolutely love the floor.......top notch work !

Excellent job. They had to co-ordinate with another contractor who was replacing the basement ceiling. Everything went very smooth. He said they would be done in a week, and they were. Attention to detail was amazing. The crew was extremely professional. I would highly recommend their work, and would not hesitate to contact them again.

I had sent out requests for quote to several companies for my backsplash project. Several quotes came back extremely high. Several requests never even bothered to respond, most likely due to the small size of the project. J & J Flooring came out to discuss the project and quickly sent out a quote the next day. The price seemed more than fair so we booked a date for the project. J & J arrived on time and well prepared. He went right to work and I didn't hear from him again until he had cleaned up and was ready to go. The next day they came back to grout. Overall, I can't speak more highly of the quality of the project and the service they offered. We have several other tile projects we plan on doing next year and will definitely contact J & J.

These guys were true professionals. They showed up on time both jay and Jair and gave me an estimate for the job. In a couple of hours after that they sent me an estimate that was fair and reasonable compared to other quotes that I had. They prepped the floor, tiled and finished very quickly. The work they did looks amazing, it seems to be a true art to laying tile correctly. There was one issue with my color of the tiles that I purchased from lowes where an area of the floor did not match perfectly (which I fault lowes for). I contacted J&J and they sent an installer to fix the issue right away once i was able to find matching tiles. Im planning on calling them for more work in the future. Another plus for them is that they respond to emails and calls very quickly. I highly recommend them.

Jair was great to work with and will use again. He replaced tile floors in two bathrooms in an old 1963 home I own. Both floors needed to be leveled and new tile installed. He was able to fit my job in within short notice and did an excellent job. I could not find a single flaw with his work and I am quite particular. Employees were nice and easy to work with. Came when they said they would and work was done for quoted price. Installed mosaic sheets in one bathroom and a 12x12 tile on the diagonal in another.

The old tile floors had several cracks in them. J & J removed the old tiles and plywood backer boards. After removing they discovered problems with the sub floor which they fixed for a small additional fee. They did a professional job installing new floors; removed old tiles and trash and cleaned up when they were done. The new floors look great. They started and finished the work on time and schedule.

Jay and Jerry came together to estimate my bathroom remodeling project. I had some definite ideas how I wanted the final result to look and described to them what I saw their part of the project being: replacing a few tiles in one section of the room, adding tiles in the rest of the room , and tiling a to-be-constructed tub surround. Jay described what J&J could do:they could help me in my task of removing the last of the big slabs of marble from the present deck and moving them to the staging area. Then they could demolish the old 2X4 deck structure, carting debris to the Bagster. Then they would prep the floor, create the new tub surround from a new product (that they provided links to explain), tile the floor, replace old tiles and tile the tub. Jay followed-up his visit with an email with that product link as well as photos from a previous similarly designed, completed job. After talking through the project with 2 other well-qualified tile/marble installers ( I would have used either of them if I hadn't encountered J& J, as all 3 were selected from Angie's List), I remained most impressed with the scope of the work that J & J could do for me on this project. Also, they could begin immediately and were priced reasonably. Jay and Jerry were very responsive to the work-schedule needs of the other trades on the project, tried to locate a fabricator for the marble cuts needed, were professional, punctual, polite and patient. And, importantly, their finished product was exactly what I had envisioned! Great work, guys!!

They did an exceptionally good job, The bathroom came out beautifulyl. Jay and Jair (the J & J) worked carefully and meticulously. They cut the tiles with extreme care, cutting slowly, trying to get a perfectly straight, smooth cut. The tile placement was flawless. In addition to working carefully, they also worked hard. They seemed to work through the day without taking any breaks. They were also very easy to work with and gave good suggestions about tile placement and design. In short, we were extremely happy with their work (and our bathroom) and highly recommend them. Their price was also reasonable.

We chose Jay and Jerry for our master bathroom project over 3 other contractors that viewed our master bathroom. J&J understood what we wanted and helped us design a walk-in shower that would fit my 6'6" husband and custom designed the recessed tile shelves to accommodate my large bottles of shampoo and conditioner along with smaller shelves for soaps. Their design allowed us to have a corner seat in the shower that we had not even considered. Jay brought samples of tile to our home that he thought would achieve the spa-like look that we desired. Although we had already chosen a tile that we liked, he encouraged us to look at Smethurst Tile in Malden. J&J have a photo calendar of their tilework that they have done at Smethurst Tile. It is very impressive. The employees at Smethurst were very knowledgeable and helpful to us in deciding the type and sizes of tiles needed for our project. Surprisingly, their price was less than the company we have always used for past tiling projects. We either saw or spoke to Jay or Jerry on a daily basis regarding the progress of the job or what time they would be at our home. Jay was immediately available by e-mail or phone for last minute questions, changes or requests. Most days we did not see J&J because we were working. They took great care protecting the floor leading from the bathroom down to the garage so as not to track any dirt or dust. We also had Jay bring in a plasterer to repair a ceiling in our hallway from a previous leak which was great as we did not have a contact person for that repair. The work was great. The bathroom is beautiful. We came in exactly on the estimated quote. It was a pleasure to work with J&J and we would highly recommend them. We have sent J&J pictures of the completed bathroom. Ask them to show you the pictures of their work. You will be impressed.

The initial removal of the old floor was difficult as it was glued firmly in place. Jay and his colleague worked at it until it was done and remained good humored though out. We are very pleased with the end result and will be getting Jay to come and install a back-splash in a couple of weeks.

Excellently. We had no complaints or concerns. The crew was on time, and generally finished a bit ahead of schedule. They were very pleasant and responsive, and did excellent, very precise tile work. The entire job took a bit over two days.

Professional, punctual, great work!

I read excellent reviews of J&J, and the company I brought my tile from also referred me to J&J as well as a family member who used J&J. I called for an estimate on a simple backsplash project in my kitchen. They answered my call and had someone at my home within 1 hour for a clear estimate. He said the job would cost approx $350-$400. That beat my other 2 quotes by $50-$100. So I emailed them after they left to set up a time and date to complete the work. They replied back saying they were booked for the next 4 weeks so I said I could take their next avail spot which was on 3/2 and they agreed. As 3/2 approached I hadn't heard from them about what time they would show or if they were still even going to show. I emailed them on 3/1 to ask if they were still coming. They said they couldn't make it and that they would reschedule for the following week 3/9. Thanks for the notice. I think they forgot to pencil me in. So the following week came and again, I hadn't heard from them about what time they would show. I called the day before they were scheduled to show and asked for a time. He said they would show up between 7-8am. Usually I would be very upset about this because I do have a life and I can't just put everything on hold last minute like this. I agreed with the time - I really wanted my backsplash. A half hour later I got a phone call from them saying they would show up at 9am in stead of 7-8am. Well I have to take my daughter to school by 9am so I told them no one would be home and he said that was no problem and he would stay in the house to work while I was away (only 20 min). I waited for them, and no one showed. They finally arrived at 10:30am. He did however get right to work and worked fast and hard. It took him 6 hours to complete the job and he did an EXCELLENT job. I give the company an F communication and punctuality but they get an A+ for a job well done. My husband and I are extremely pleased with the results.

Everyone who sees the job, comments on how beautiful and high-end it looks. These guys work hard and care about every detail from start to finish. They're also very easy to work with, knowledgeable about new materials and have a good eye for aesthetic choices. I wish all of our contractors were this good. We'll be using them again.

Very well. Jair answered all questions and entertained all of my concerns, and I had several. I can imagine I would frustrate many people, but he talked through everything with me and we made decisions to address all of my concerns, etc. The only reason I gave a B on professionalism rather than an A is Jair could use a little work on initially answering the phone. I've already recommended him to a friend who didn't end up using him mainly because of how he sounds when he first answers the phone. Jair doesn't say "Hello, Jay and Jay flooring...", more often just "yes". But it's all good. I can tell you, if you are working with stone, you do not want to take this lightly. Very few people realize stone is different from tile (I'm talking about marble, granite, etc.). So you really want to go with someone that specifically works with stone. Jay actually fixed a job we got done that went wrong - and the previous contractor is really good (in fact an Angie's list award winner), they just didn't know stone. We ultimately were glad we used Jay and like the work that was done.

The work was very good. They did what they were supposed to do. They did a very professional job.

They were fabulous. The experience was perfect. The workmanship was perfect. They cleaned up after themselves. They were careful not to make a mess everywhere. They were very considerate of the house.
