Jay was very responsive. When I first called him he replied promptly and came out to give me an estimate. I changed my mind a few times with the size tile and pattern I wanted. Every time I called or emailed he answered politely and readjusted the quote for my changes. When I finally decided on the tile and pattern he told me when he would come and install it. His crew was there on time and did a great job. I am very happy with how it came out. They were neat and courteous.

Quality and dependability guaranteed. J&J Flooring promised to be at our home at 7:00am. We noticed that Jay and his crew arrived early and waited in their vehicles until exactly 7am each day before knocking. We hired J&J Flooring to install tile in our front foyer, a kitchen backsplash, a bathroom, in a very large basement. The quality of the work was excellent. The cement basement floor was a concern for us since it needed to be leveled in areas. This was expertly handled. J&J removed the old tile in each of the areas they tiled. They quickly removed the old tile while keeping our house free from much of the dust by separating the other areas with plastic. Some of the subflooring was rotted by a couple of the exterior doors and they also repaired the subfloor. We are so thrilled with the quality of J&J flooring?s work that we are having them come back and update our master bathroom. We very highly recommend J&J Flooring!

They did a great job and so far there are no cracks. The replaced a threshold that was broken. We did have to call them back once for something. I would use them again.

Job well done! First and foremost, the shower floor is now pitched towards the drain and looks amazing. All the tile re-work that Jay had to preform is now level. I am extremely happy. When I had the glass shower door installation company come out to install the glass door, they were extremely impressed on how level and pitched everything was. Jay turned a disaster into an amazing shower. It looks and functions as it should. He also gave recommendation on what would look best. I would recommend Jay to others and in the future hire him again. Thanks Jay!

They were very professional and meticulous on the entire process from the demolition to the finishing touches. Jay personally came out to my place and took a look before giving me the best quote out of 5 companies that bid for the work. We quickly established a working relationship where I would explain to Jay what I envision my bathroom to be and he would provide suggestions to make it better. I provided Jay with tiles and grout and Jay quickly got to work. He was very good at keeping my apartment clean after every session and very responsive in answering calls and text messages. He would always check in with me first before making a big decision for example if I was sure of the color of grout that I picked. It ended up not what I had in mind and Jay was willing to delay his work by another day so that I can pick the better color. In the end, the tiling job turned out superbly and I am extremely pleased that I've chosen Jay to work with. I would recommend J&J flooring to anyone looking for a bathroom remodel. Not only will you get a great deal, but get someone who is trustworthy, professional and expert in what they do.

The preparation work was crucial to the success of the installation, and they did a tremendous job. Tiles were installed professionally as well. I have had many compliments from family and friends.

Very professional and responsive. We were short on a few different types of tile but Jair was very flexible in changing the schedule based on when the tile would be in. All in all, a very positive experience and the bathroom now looks great.

About 4 weeks after the job was complete, I started noticing that some of the tiles were not completely secure. I instantly sent an email to inform him about the issue. He responded requesting more information about what tiles and where. I responded but never heard back. On December 11th, I emailed him to let him that a different tile had completely fallen off the structure. Since then, I have lost 4 or 5 tiles. I emailed again on December 12, including a photo. Again on January 7th and 8th. I have yet to hear back from him.

This is my first review on Angie's List and I have been looking forward to writing this particular review. Jay (Jair) did a fantastic job with our master shower redo job. I obtained quotes from 4 similar companies. Jay was professional and detailed with his quote. Others charged significantly more, used cheaper materials (e.g. not Schulter) and did not have the strong review reputation that Jay did on Angie?s List. Needless to say, after contracting with him for the work, everything went extremely well. He had great communication skills by email, txt, or phone. He kept to his committed appointments and did and phenomenal job in terms of workmanship and attention to detail. The final completed job looks great. His final bill was the exact price as his estimate. Basically, if you need any type of tiling, bathroom, or floor work these guys are an easy choice. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

The bathroom tile work was sloppy and poorly cut, which is surprising after I was told they were quite sought after. Although supervised, the gentleman who actually worked on the bathroom tile seemed inexperienced. When questioned about the quality of the work, the response wasn't very apologetic. I pointed out the chipped tiles that were already in place and grouted and received an excuse about "a defect in the glaze." They replaced some, but not all of the poorly cut tiles. The niche in the shower is sloppy and portions of it are not level (soap falls into the tub often). The work, whether sought after or not, seems novice. To cut a tile, see that it's chipped, put it up and grout it anyway says a couple of things to me. Either he thought this was good work, which speaks to his training or he knew it was bad and just hoped I wouldn't know any better. I'm pretty disappointed I let up and paid them the full amount before I was satisfied. I guess I can only be mad at myself, but I certainly wouldn't recommend them. No matter the size of the job, pride in ones work and customer satisfaction is paramount. Overall, completely exhausting.

Fantastic. Jay went above and beyond. He's not a smalltalk kind of guy, so dont expect it. He's no nonsense and gets the job done. the skill level is top notch. An example of him going above and beyond: my toilet was originally connected incorrectly by the previous owners. He went to home depot and got the right parts to make it work. He's a real standout guy, he's earned my respect and I'd definitely use him in the future.

Jay and his team were professional and did a fantastic job. My bathroom is amazing after they completed their work. I am getting new tile installed in my shower by jay, hopefully it goes well. I will update when done.

I wanted him to also replace the tiling around my bathtub but he said that is not included in the $599 big deal. Only the flooring was included in that price. So I asked him if he would be willing to do both. He said “well I will let you know” I didn’t hear anything back so I asked him again if he would send the estimate. I called and he did send an estimate. He sent an estimate for the total job and I asked him to break down the total numbers. The 599 deal was not included. He was not going to honor the deal. I told him what I wanted to have done. He said he would be by Monday to take measurements. Monday came and he didn’t come. I needed to leave for work so I texted him then later called and he yelled at me “saying I didn’t tell you I would come Monday, I will call you this week” I have not heard anything from and it is Friday. When he had come by when he was talking about the deal. He mentioned to me that I have a pedestal sink and he said I would have to remove the sink for him to do the work. He also said he had to charge an extra 200 dollars because there is window in the bathroom. On the website it shows you have 8 tiles to choose from. When he came he brought ugly tiles and I said I wouldn't put any of those in my bathroom I let him know that he said “Fine, pick out your own tile” So I did. Later he said that the deal was only for the tiles he picks so he would not use the tiles I chose with the deal.

Jair of J & J Flooring and his associates were punctual, professional and were very helpful with ideas for designing the floor! They arrived when they said they would, and worked meticulously. They take pride in their work and it shows! The floors came out beautiful! We already made arrangements for him to come back and do a backsplash for our kitchen. We highly recommend him for any of tile work needed.

He came out to see the bathroom but didn't bring any samples. When he came back, he had a very limited set. Regardless, I decided on which one to use and we set a date to do the job. His crew finished up the bulk of it in one day, did a great cleanup, and returned the next morning for final grouting. A few weeks later, he came back free of charge to install a backsplash that wasn't ready at the time he did the original job. His crew was polite, thorough, and very diligent about cleaning up. The new subfloor, floor tile, and wall tile look great and the bathroom has gotten a lot of compliments. The one thing I'd suggest would be to have a better selection of samples. But I'd definitely use JJ again.

Everyone is raving about our new tile floor! Working with J & J was a great experience. They offered a competitive price and got the job done quickly but professionally. Jair and his crew were very easy to work with and we had good communication and updates with e-mail. They had good ideas for some problem areas of our install, like a wooden drain cleanout that needed to be covered. They also moved our very heavy treadmill to the garage while the work was being done - and have even said they will return to put it back! The tile install was high quality, nicely spaced, even and level. They cleaned up thoroughly when the job was complete.There's a good reason for their high rating on Angie's - they deserve it!

He set up an appointment and showed up, but he never ended up sending me a quote ever, which was aggravating.

Perfectly! The floor was rough concrete and needed to be leveled. Extra bags of cement (or whatever it is they use to lay the tile) were required and they didn't charge extra for this. They installed the tile on Thursday and returned on Saturday a.m. to grout. They cleaned up all of their materials when they left.

Jay was prompt, provided a thorough estimate, and was able to answer all of my questions. Unfortunately we were working on a tight timeline and he was already committed to other work. I would definitely hire him in the future.

They did a beautiful job! We're contemplating getting in touch with them again since they did such a great job previously! They were timely. They showed up before we expected. They went right to work. They didn't intrude on anything; they just went about their business and got the job done! They were more concerned about the quality of the work than getting paid! We were very happy with them!

It went very well. They slowed up on time and were very efficient. The floor came out great, and they were very good about cleaning up any mess they made. I would not hesitate to give them as a reference to friends.

J&J were great. They were punctual on their first visit and when they came to do the work. Jay was very helpful with advice and provided a competitive quote. Installation was a breeze, Jay and his team were professional and had great attention to detail. I am very particular and it was obvious that they did a thorough and thoughtful job. Attention to detail was great. Post-job cleanup cold have been a little better (the job needed one more wipedown to get rid of excess grout and there were a few pieces of debris). The quality of the job made up for any inconvenience. They will be getting any additional work that I need.

I called and he went out to the property the next day. He promised me he'd send me a quote ASAP as he knew we were trying to get these two bathrooms repaired for our owners. That was the last I ever heard from him until today. I contacted him to find out where my quote was so I could send it to our trustees. He started ranting and raving at me that he was not going to have anything to do with the job because "I'm not going to work for people like that." He went on to explain that he was angry that the home owner wanted to make sure the tile he would replace would match her current tile and that she was somewhat difficult with him. He again reiterated that he didn't like her attitude and "I'm not going to do it." He never called me after his visit to the units, I never knew he had experienced any "problem" while he was out there. Not contacting our company to tell us he was not interested in the job was extremely unprofessional. I now have to further make our clients wait while I get yet another quote from someone else. This is not the way any contractor should deal with a property management company. I would just say, buyer beware.

J&J were great. They arrived at the agreed upon time on Friday, set up quickly and got to work. The small bathroom and tile layout proved to be a bit labor intensive as there needed to be a lot of cuts. J&J did it without complaint. They worked a long day on Friday to complete the layout of the floor and kitchen (7:00 - 6:00). They returned on Saturday morning to grout and seal. We are extremely happy with their work.

J & J are great! They did a fantastic job with our approximately 140 square feet of tiling, using a combination of 12"x24", glass mosaic and pebble tiles. They accommodated our design changes, even when they made their job harder. We are very happy with their work.
