Village Carpet

We were not satisfied with their work. They had to come back for repairs on one of the seams. A couple of the seams are still not professionally done. The purchasing experience was fine but the installers were not competent. Another contractor said the carpet was fine but the installation was not professional. I used them a couple of times but I would never use them again. I would also not recommend their services.

They did a great job. They were corporative. The quality of the material is good and I am still pleased with it. They came on time and the service good.

It was the worst rug I had ever had installed. There are lumps which means underneath it is not pulled tight enough. The color does not math the existing carpet I had. It is very cheap looking. I continue to have the rug cleaned because it shows a lot of stains. I am not happy with their service and I will not use them again.

I went in to Village Carpet to get a quote and pick out a rug on a Thursday and they came out the following Monday to install the carpet. The installer was prompt and very nice.

The owner was very knowledgeable and professional. He did not make us feel pressured into buying. He gave us great advice and showed us all the options available to us without trying to push us into a more expensive option. He came to our home and measured the room we were interested in getting carpeting for and then also went in and measured the areas of some other rooms we would like to have done in the future.

I had gotten them as a reference from a woman I know who always use her carpeting done for several years. The estimate was for $2800. They are very thorough in the measurements. He explained how he got the estimate. They also coordinated an installer to have it done. They brought some samples.

We went to the store to look at carpet samples & the 2 gentlemen there were extremely helpful. We were able to have small carpet samples of the colors we were interested in sent to our home at no charge. When we finally decided what we wanted, we went back to the store and put our order in. I believe it took about 2 weeks to get the carpet in. The carpet was installed not too long before Christmas. (I was actually with family so my husband was there when they came to install it). He said it only took them about an hour & a half to install. We have some leftover carpet, which they said they could use if any of the runner gets damaged. The runner looks great! We were very happy with the cost as well. Some surrounding carpet places were charging almost $1000 for a runner, which we thought was ridiculous. We actually thought Village Carpet would be on the pricey side since they are located in Reading, but we were pleasantly surprised when they came in lower than the competitors. We will be using them for our future carpet needs.

Village Carpet gave us prompt, friendly service, with a low-pressure home visit for the estimate and quick responses to our questions and concerns. The carpet is beautiful and feels well-installed, and we were happy with the value for the price.

It was exceptionally good service. The one thing I really liked was the fact that the installation was very quick. It was 3 day wait where other stores were saying we'd have to wait a couple of weeks. They were exceedingly honest. We did the initial transaction over the phone and the salesman over estimated and he immediately called back to let me know he had goofed. I would never have noticed that, but he was very honest and the service was very friendly. I was just tickled with the service.

Overall, it went very well. They came about 2 weeks after Charlie came and installed the carpet. They took away the old carpet and left the room spotless(which it wasn't before). The room looks bigger and cleaner. I would recommend Village Carpet to anyone.
