OK. Carpet is beginning to buckle in a few spots.

I purchased remnants to recarpet two bedrooms in a rental property in Reading. The price was reasonable and the service was outstanding. Village Carpet was able to hold the carpet until I was ready for it as some minor construction was being performed and I was not ready for the carpet to be installed. After I scheduled it, the installation was prompt, complete, and professional.

Without problems. They worked with us to coordinate painting and carpeting and suggested the right product for our goal. Their installation contracting team was great -- efficient, skilled, and careful with the new paint.

I was very pleased with the resulting product, and their prices were very reasonable. I would definitely use Village Carpet again for either area rugs or carpeting.

AMAZING!!! I picked out carpet through photos sent to my phone. I provided the measurements I had and (thankfully!) they were accurate. The 2 installers showed up right on time, clean, neat, professional and respectful. They barely spoke while they were there - in other words, they weren't "yukking it up," they were working. They moved my furniture, removed the 2 different floors that were there, they installed everything beautifully (I saw them using a little tool to tuck stuff in... I don't think Empire Carpet would do such a thing!) cleaned up after themselves. They were out before 6 hours with my EXTREME gratitude!! A truly amazing and stress-free experience. What a team!!

Village Carpet was great. They were informative upon visiting the store and making suggestions and encouraging us to take samples home. The appointment to take measurements for new carpet was easy and convenient. For day of installation, they showed up on time, did an excellent job (removed bedroom and closet doors to ensure good carpet fit), and were efficient.

All work was completed as scheduled and professionally.

The guys showed up earlier than expected which was a perfect. Took no time at all to install the carpet. The office staff was extremely helpful when we were looking for the carpet. Overall great experience and would use again in the future.

Fantastic. One of the BEST experiences I have ever had. Easy to work with, no pressure, knowledgeable, professional, and super quick delivery. Walked into their showroom on Saturday 11/1. I was warmly greeted by both Mikes. Very pleasant, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Told them what we were looking for and they pointed out some options and then let us wonder without being hawked. I was also impressed that they started out by showing us the lowest cost items first (vs. trying to sell me the most expensive stuff they had). After wondering for a few minutes we picked out the carpet we wanted. Checkout was quick and painless. We were in the store for maybe 30 minutes total. They also delivered and installed the carpet runner just 4 days later. The install crew showed up on time, they were very friendly, and they got right to work. They installed the runner in just under an hour and did an excellent job on clean up (not a single piece of clean up was left). Again, one of the best experiences I have ever had. Strongly recommend. PS: I must mention that I had tried one of there competitors first (AJ Rose) it was a complete disaster. Spent over 3 months, 4-5 calls, 3 return trips to the store trying to get this same simple carpet runner installed. After multiple delays, mix ups, and failure to return a simple phone call ... I gave up, got my money back, and went straight to Village Carpet. If you are considering flooring I would stay away from AJ Rose and head straight to Village carpet. Oh ... and Village Carpet was cheaper than AJ Rose.

Michael at Village Carpet was incredibly helpful. He gave us a number of options and styles to choose from and was patient while we made our decision. The ordering and installation process was efficient and easy, and the quality of the work was top notch.

Great, they are a great family run store who come when they say they will, they know what theyre talking about and are not pushy. They show up and are professional, do the job clean up and leave. no issues.

Great family run business. All interactions were highly professional and the end result was wonderful. A pleasure to do business with them.

The installer appeared right on time the morning of the installation. We had already cleared the areas as best we could. The installer followed by moving all the appliances out of the kitchen. The effort was done with great care and attention to cleanliness. He laid down tarps all over the living room to be sure not to harm the carpet and even made the effort to be sure the refrigerator could be plugged in after moving it. The whole effort took about 6 hours and the floors look beautiful. The staff at the store itself as well as the installer acted professionally. One minor hiccup was in scheduling the installation. To be fair, the store's owner looked to schedule the appointment as quickly as possible. The problem was that he pushed back when I tried to say that the two days he originally offered were impossible for me to be available. After I made it clear that I simply could not be available, he graciously worked to find a more suitable time.

I called and told them what I needed and an appointment was made for a few days later. He showed up on time and took measurements, answered my questions and suggested a remnant would work and be cheaper as we only needed steps and a hallway done. I went in a day or two later to look at what they had and chose a Berber that almost matched what we had that went up a 3rd set of steps. They scheduled for two days later and said it'd take about 3 hours for them to complete the job. They arrived early and ripped up the carpet, put down the padding I chose then went back to the shop to cut the carpet. They came back about an hour later and installed it; it took about 3-4 hours with the break in between to get the carpet. It looks great, I can't see any seams, I got to keep the chunk of remnant which is nice. I can feel a carpet tack or two when in bare feet but I may just pound them in a bit more. They were friendly, courteous, honest and helpful. I just wish they would have taken the 5% coupon that is on Angie's List. Apparently, it is for new carpet purchase only, not remnant ones...which isn't stated on the coupon.

They showed up when they said they would and were reasonably priced. They installed approximately 500 sq ft. of carpet.

Very helpful staff, they gave us advice on what type of carpet to get given our expected use and location in the house. They also helped show options within our budget and were very friendly

We were not satisfied with their work. They had to come back for repairs on one of the seams. A couple of the seams are still not professionally done. The purchasing experience was fine but the installers were not competent. Another contractor said the carpet was fine but the installation was not professional. I used them a couple of times but I would never use them again. I would also not recommend their services.
