I called 4 contractors on this project, First Choice was the only one to return my call. Rich came out to look over the work area and asked what our wishes were for the improvements. His experience and professionalism were immediately apparent. He made several very helpful suggestions. Rich provided me with a list of 14 previous clients and asked that I call as many as I liked, which I did. Of the 4 that I contacted ALL had glowing reviews and 2 had First Choice back to do more work. Enough said. The work here was done on time, on budget and to the highest quality. I emailed the contractor. He responded immediately. He came to my home and prepared an estimate. There were questions about the estimate which led to a misunderstanding. But, he seems to want to correct the misunderstanding. I'm pursuing additional estimates.

It went well. Paul came up to measure the doors, then called me when they were ready to install. Unfortunately, the first scheduled day, in December, was too damned cold. The actual day of installation was damned cold and windy. I could have postponed it, but wanted them in for Christmas.

The person who came out interacted with me very well and his demeanor was excellent. His quote was reasonable and competitive.

I asked if 1st Choice could send someone to a home I was hoping to buy, but, first wanted to know how much it would cost to update/remodel the home before I purchased the home, otherwise, it maybe too expensive to purchase. Rich was on-time, polite, congenial, right to work, spouting off estimates, my realtor was late, but, still by the time we needed to enter the home she had arrived, and Rich had finished with the outside estimates.

From the moment I first had contacted 1st Choice, Paul, one of the business partners, came over to look at the attic to take measurements and we were in constant contact conerning cost and to make adjustments to the project. He even came over a second time to double check that a wider staircase could be installed (which because of the trusses it couldn't) After a date was set for the project, Paul and his partner Rich were punctual and worked very well together. The project was completed in a day and it looks and works great. We certainly will consider them for future projects.

Paul and Rich did a terrific job for us. I think the job turned out to be somewhat more difficult than they anticipated because of the need to try to fit standard size doors in non-standard spaces. The guys finished the job without complaint and without making a big deal about the difficulties they encountered. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout the job.

They were professional while they were working. They were courteous, kind and friendly while they were here. The arrived on time to do the work asked of them. They worked until the job got done. They did a great job. I would most definitely use them in the future. I would recommend them.
