I was supposed to get a roof inspection with a written report for $50 through an Angie's List Big Deal. I reached Jeremiah Nash, the of Nash & Sons. The inspection was scheduled for a Monday. I know for a fact that he never showed up, because I was at home all day. No excuse was ever given and no report was ever sent subsequently. I left phone messages for him, but Jeremiah never returned my call. Reading other reviews, I see that this seems to be common with him. Completely useless. Grade F.

There was a misunderstanding. Service provider's was expecting to hear from customers by email (not phone). I was contacted the day after I submitted the review with an apology. Shortly after the call, my gutters were cleaned and they removed a birds nest that was clogging the downspout. Also repaired a hole in the fascia board with lead flashing made by sqirrels trying to get into the house. I'm very happy with the job!

This is a revised report. Previously, I said I had not received a written report from Mr. Nash. This was not the case. He sent the report to me the very next day, but it was sent to my SPAM folder, so I never saw it. I have no complaints whatsoever. I will use them in the future when needed and have recommended them to my neighbors. Both gentlemen went far above and beyond the job description and were very polite and professional! Thank you!

Inspection was thorough, clearly explained (in person; less so in written report). Answered my questions and suggested services relevant to his observations and my questions. Was not pushy at all--this did not come across as a "fishing expedition". I am currently awaiting an appointment for work I've requested as a result of this inspection. Scheduling was a breeze. Day and time I asked for. However, Jeremiah wasn't able to come when he expected he would, so it was later in the day that he ended up coming. Not a problem.

Nash has done the inspection for us, and we are waiting for the actual fix.

Had Michael F Nash & Sons Inc inspect roof area that we had questions about installing solar panels on. They took photos and gave me a PDF report in detail of what needs to be done. Very happy with the service they provided. Looking at getting the complete roof replaced.

I bought the Angies List promotion. After reading some of the recent reviews, I realized I had a similar experience as many others. Here is the timeline 02/27: Nash and Sons came to our house for a roof inspection 03/05: sent email requesting a report on the inspection. Received a reply that I would get the report tomorrow (03/06) 03/12: sent follow up email asking for inspection report. Received an email reply apoligizing for the delay 03/14: Received inspection I asked some follow up questions on email, such as what the would be an estimate of the costs to make repairs. We exchanged several calls but were never able to touch base.

I knew my roof looked bad with all the moss growing and a leak in one corner so I purchased the roof inspection offer from Nash & Sons for $59.00 and $150 towards any subsequent repairs. Then I waited for the bad news. They were very accomodating since I work mega hours and I told them I would not be able to be present while they did the inspection. This was against my work colleagues advice. They said I was crazy. He's just going to look at your roof and say you need a new one. That is far from what happened. I received such an extrmely well done, detailed report from this company. It included lots of pictures with mark-ups indicating problem areas, a full written report of all the damage and reccommendations of what I should do to repair my roof. Unfortunately but not surprising I needed a roof replacement and went with another contractor that out-bid Nash & Sons. However to be fair, I never did give them a chance to counter offer. All in all, they provided me with the best and highly detailed estimate in a timely manner. They were very professional and what's best is they are very proud of their work.

Jeremiah apologized for not providing any services due to changes in their staff. So far all that's happened was the visit to evaluate the roof--no report received or repairs made.

The job got delayed because of weather. Mr. Nash came on Friday with the building materials. He told me his crew would be coming later. He began fixing the window himself. The crew arrived at around 4 o'clock. I told Mr. Nash that it would be fine if he wanted to start the next day. They all stayed and worked until 6, even though they had already put in a full day. On Saturday they arrived and went about their work quickly and methodically. They replaced all the soffits and fascia on the north side of the house. They put up the Rain Handlers which I wanted instead of gutters. Repaired the leak around the stack pipe and fixed the soffit underneath which had been damaged. They also went above and beyond. They trimmed back not only the tree which was responsible for the original damage but also two trees over the garage. Before everyone left they cleaned up the whole work site and left it as it was before. Mr. Nash is very pleasant and easy to work with. Jeremiah has setup web based systems to do all the payments and billing which made it easy and convenient. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them.

We hired them to do a roof inspection for the house we were buying. Thy did OK. Also, the seller contacted them but never used their service but they were very responsive and professional.

We noticed some shingles were missing on the roof after this past winter and used Nash and Sons to get an idea of what we might be looking at for either fixing the roof, or replacing the roof in a few years. Michael came out right away, looked at the roof and said we'd need to replace the whole roof because the damage was too extensive to just repair. Our insurance company actually agreed with Nash and Sons' assesment, and the quote from Nash and Sons and the the estimate from the insurance company matched up pretty well. Jeremiah, Michael's son came out with some shingle samples, and we scheduled the job right away. The materials were dropped off on a Tuesday, it threatened rain on wednesday, but on thursday they replaced the entire roof in one shot. You read that right, ONE day, new freaking roof! They were courteous, very clean, and the roof looks spectacular. The property was actually cleaner after they left than before they started, that's how well they picked up after themselves. The neighbors repeatedly commented on how professional and how rapid the job was done. Jeremiah came by himself a day later to make sure no nails were still around. The dumpster guys had torn up part of my neighbor's lawn...Nash and Sons showed up and put some new loam down and repaired what they could. They even cleaned the sidewalks. This roof will probably last decades, but if I had another house I would have had Nash and Sons put a new roof on that as well, the job went so smoothly.

Overall, we were very happy with the service. We originally purchased the Big Deal for the roof inspection, and received a detailed report with information and quotes about what the options were for repairing or replacing the roof (it is near the end of it's life). After deciding to go forward with the repairs, Jeremiah fit us in immediately. The work took about an hour, and they indicated things went fine. Jeremiah and his father seem like good, honest professionals, and we will certainly consider contacting them when we are ready to replace our roof.

Inspection in Fall. Weather intervened. Repairs in Spring. Very nice to deal with.

He was realistic and in my opinion based on other estimates was fair.

Communication before the inspection was excellent. It was tough to schedule a day in the winter because of the weather. Mr. Nash came on the promised day. He followed up with a detailed report as promised. His report convinced me I needed to replace the roof. The failing grade is NOT for the inspection, but for his failure to provide a written quote when requested. In fact I contacted Mr. Nash 3 times via email, and I would have expected he would have been happy to provide a quote to replace the roof. I did receive a prompt response to my first email message with a promise to provide a quote after a few days. After a week I sent a second message, and received no response for 10 days. His excuse was a death in the family, and he apologized. Again he promised to send a quote. Another week passed, and still no quote. I never did receive a quote in spite of two promises. I suspect he is now too busy with the current Angie Big Deal.

They did the roof inspection. They emailed me a report outlining all of the work they suggested to be done. I have not gone forward with the work yet. They were very prompt, courteous, and knowledgable with the work that needs to be done. They were quick to get me the report on my roof.

I was not home at the time of inspection so I did not witness the work while it was being done.

Very friendly and professional. They did what they said they would do in a timely manner. Very helpful. My roof is in pretty good shape and no immediate follow-up is needed.

Very professional. Worked efficiently and competently .They cleaned up thoroughly and all work was completed inn one day, tho we were warned it might take 2-3. Michael called to advise us when the dumpster would be arriving and to confirm when it was removed after the job. He also checked in with us to be sure it was going well and came by after to be sure we were satisfied.

It took a while to get in good contact with them in order to schedule the visit. Showed up to do the inspection, came through the house to climb out the master bedroom window to inspect the roof, did not use a ladder. Took plenty of pictures during the report. The report was very thorough with details explaining what was wrong in the pictures. After taking their notes, provided a report one week later.

Michael F Nash & Sons got it touch quickly after my purchase of the Angie?s List deal. I took a few tries to coordinate a visit to the property to inspect the roof. The inspection was very thorough. Nash & Sons documented damage to the roof with photographs and in writing. They also made helpful recommendations about how to solve ice dam issues with the roof. With in a few days of the inspection they provided a detailed report with their recommendations and a cost estimate. A rubber roof and new gutter system were recommended. It is too early to tell if the estimate represents fair price for the work they proposed. We had an immediate need to get the damaged area of the roof covered. There were winter storms to contend with so it took a bit of back and forth to successfully schedule Nash & Sons to come and secure the tarps we had purchased to cover the damaged roof area. When they came and did the work, it was done carefully and seems to be serving as a temporary repair. All of the communications by email, phone and in person were friendly, helpful and professional. We will strongly consider having Michael F Nash & Sons do the permanent repairs.

Initial visit was for an estimate and appraisal of current roof condition. Clear, comprehensive report outlining multiple reasons to replace roof at this time (plant growth, poor initial installation of roof, areas of wood rot at eaves). Reasonable estimate, prompt appointment for work. Excellent quality new roof and competitive price. Thorough and careful cleanup.

I had trouble contacting them originally so I got the deal refunded. They ended up contacting me, apologized and did the service for free.
